With more than 100 million album sales since 1965, Simon & Garfunkel’s perfect harmonies and songs that poignantly captured the times made them one of the most successful folk-rock duos of all time. The Simon & Garfunkel Story is an immersive concert-style theater show chronicling their amazing journey from their humble beginnings as Tom & Jerry, through their successes, and to their dramatic split in 1970. It culminates with the famous “The Concert in Central Park” reunion in 1981 with more than half a million fans in attendance. Using huge projection photos and original film footage, the show also features a full live band performing all of their hits, including Mrs. Robinson, Cecilia, Bridge Over Troubled Water, Homeward Bound, and many more.

The exceptional talents of critically-acclaimed teen music prodigy EmiSunshine has captured the nation’s attention. The singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist has been hailed by outlets such as No Depression, Billboard and Rolling Stone: “Sounds like the spunky, intense little sister to artists Iris DeMent, Natalie Maines, Nanci Griffith and Janis Joplin.” EmiSunshine has already graced some of the most-prestigious stages--from the “Today Show,” to the Grand Ole Opry (over a dozen times) and most recently, “Little Big Shots starring Steve Harvey” last April. Additionally, EmiSunshine stars in and performs three songs in her latest film appearance on “The King,” alongside such celebrities as Roseanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Ethan Hawke, Alec Baldwin and more. The film featured at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and premiered at Cannes Film Festival, where Emi performed. A well-crafted storyteller, Emi’s music has been described as an “old-timey,” unique blend of roots music that is equal parts Americana, Bluegrass, Gospel, and Country, with a sprinkle of Blues.

Montreal’s cutting-edge classical string ensemble Collectif9 has been gathering steam since its 2011 debut, attracting diverse audiences in varied spaces. Known for energized, innovative arrangements of classical repertoire, Collectif9 employs lights, staging, and amplification more commonly seen at rock acts and heralds a new age in genre-bending classical performance. The ensemble combines the power of an orchestra with the crispness of a chamber ensemble for a unique experience. Learning from the classical works that have influenced non-classical musicians and the structure of pop concerts, Collectif9 looks for ways to break the stigma of inapproachability, searches for new ways of expression within the classical medium, and attempts to foster communication and collaboration between artists and within their community.

THE CSISTAGEDOORSERIESA unique opportunity to experience an

intimate evening of the arts...

PROJECT FLUX: sEnTEnCEsOctober 24, 2017 @ 7:30 p.m Art begets art…. Over the course of last year, Project Flux director Lydia Sakolsky-Basquill sat in on the creative writing classes at the IDOC state penitentiary taught by CSI instructor Shane Brown. Inspired by that experience and the writing of the prisoners, Lydia choreographed a full-length dance performance for Project Flux, a contemporary dance company based in Boise, that explores regret, longing, redemption, and life behind bars.

A PRAIRIE HOME COMPAnIOn November 27, 2018 @ 7:30 p.m It’s all in a name! A Dairy Home Companion will follow the format of the perennial favorite “A Prairie Home Companion” with some changes to fit southern Idaho. The show will include music, comedy, monologues and more! Join us (Comedy veterans Steve Kaminski and Katie Neff “Neffinski”) along with some of your favorite local musicians, comedians and other performing artists as we present a satirical, and perhaps idyllic, look at life in the Magic Valley.

AnGsTJanuary 24, 2019 @ 7:30 p.m “The wind is howling with the agony of a dying soulAnd the earth is quakingin the memory of forgotten dreams” – Camille Barigar, age 16.Dust off your old poetry, journals, original lyrics, and artwork, because we are taking a journey to the teenage years. In Angst, you’ll get the chance to watch grown adults sharing the treasured (or regrettable) keepsakes of their most embarrassing adolescent memories preserved for posterity in hidden corners of closets around Twin Falls. Through the laughter, and, who are we kidding, probably some tears, we will explore themes of alienation, rebellion, obsession, and identity crisis and how these experiences in our formative years shaped us… And come to realize those times when we thought we were all alone, laying on our beds writing to the sounds of The Smiths, that maybe we weren’t so different from everybody else after all. Featuring a live band and music from the ‘80s and ‘90s from Musical Director Adam Crofts. Note – Please start going through your old notebooks and watch facebook and email for auditions for Angst. Email [email protected] for more information

InsIDE InsPIRATAFebruary 15, 2019 @ 7:30 p.m Join Inspirata Dance Project for another “inside” peek into their summer 2019 production. IDP believes in cultivating collaborations and is dedicated to the continued development of dance and dance education providing an environment for choreographers and dancers to explore, create, and share their work. In Inside Inspirata, you’ll get a chance to sit on the stage where the artists perform, get an intimate look into their creative process, and talk with the artists.

THE sECOnD COMInG OF JOAn OF ARC April 18, 2019 @ 7:30 p.m She led an army to victory, crowned a king, took on the entire Catholic Church…and was dead by 19. Joan of Arc is the MOST documented figure of the 15th century, and yet myths about her pervade the history books, to this day. In The Second Coming of Joan of Arc, by Carolyn Gage, the audience will discover the real Jeanne Romee, and through her story, the brutal institutional misogyny that women continue to face. Drawn from the detailed records of her two trials—including hundreds of testimonies by all involved in her short life—The Second Coming finally tells the truth about the simple-minded, virginal peasant girl, who was anything but. Jennifer Miller performs this one-woman show that explores not only the experience of “Joan of Arc,” but relates that experience to contemporary women. Join her and discover the defiant, irreverent, clever, and unrepentant Jeanne, who remained unfailingly true to her own visions.

These masterpieces of French and Russian music stand as pillars of the two-piano repertory.

Kevin Ahfat: National Federation of Music Clubs

Young Artist January 25, 2019 @ 7:30 p.m As a pianist that leaves no question about his riveting presentation and technical finesse, pianist Kevin Ahfat is poised to become one of the young heirs of the classical piano realm, with a bold, boundary-pushing, millennial style matched by refined execution. Possessing a balanced mix of expressiveness and virtuosity, he summons plenty of thunderpower in the big moments, but clearly values

musicianship over mere showmanship. In addition to being a two-time winner of the Julliard Concerto Competition, Mr. Ahfat has won top prizes at numerous competitions worldwide, including the Schimmel International Piano Competition, Steinway & Sons Concerto Competition, and the inaugural Seattle Symphony International Piano Competition. Currently, Mr. Ahfat continues his studies at the Juilliard School.

Ezola/Olson Duo: An Evening of Piano Duos

March 8, 2019 @ 7:30 p.m For over 200 years, piano duos have been a popular part of the keyboard repertory, challenging performers and entertaining audiences alike. In this recital, Emily Ezola and Kevin Olson, faculty members at Utah State University, will present a variety of piano duos written in the past two centuries, sharing some of the unique history of this genre, the composers who were drawn to writing for two pianos, as well as the demands and benefits of ensemble playing for pianists.
