How Long They Live In Captivity

Orca males live up to 60 to 70 years. Orcas females live up 70 and 100 Years . Orcas live up to 20 years in captivity.

What Happens When They Are Put In Captivity

Because of the small space in the pool, orcas fins and tails have been injured.

But it rarely happens in the wild. The cage is actually like a bathtub to the

orcas. They want to be free so they gnaw on the

bars to get out. That makes them sick and it’s bad for their teeth.

They are Forced to Stick With Other Orcas

In the wild, they can stick with family, but in cages, they are forced to play with other orcas.

Orca females are forced to meet up with males they don’t know.

Doing Mean Things While Being Captured

After the orcas were dead Don Goldsberry, started cutting open orcas bellies , putting rocks in them, and hooking anchors to their tales so they would drown and couldn’t be seen.
