    We are currently seeking an experienced [Mechanical Engineer] to join the Eastern Region Distribution Department, Saudi Arabia.

    The successful candidate will join the Eastern Region Distribution Department (ERDD) to handle and distribute refined hydrocarbon products within the Eastern Region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Refined products are received from the refinery to the tank farm (storage tanks) through pipelines, then transferred to other locations by pipelines and trucks or transferred to the bulk plants for sales.

    Responsibilities Include

    Provide engineering expertise in capital project's business case development processes, with economic analysis required to support meeting the growth in demandfor refined products.

    Suitable candidates must be:

    Experts in project life cycle from conceptual until onsteam with deep knowledge on each stage.

    Well acquainted with capital programs planning, and development procedures and processes.

    Expert in cost estimation and budget allocations concerning capital programs.

    Familiar with business planning and operating plan development related to capitalprograms.

    Coordinate with other divisions, departments or other stake holders on all project activities to achieve the planned milestones from engineering, material procurements, and construction to meet the project ERC date.

    Familiar with all requirements to achieve projects final Mechanical Completion Certificates (MCCs) and Performance Acceptance Certificates (PACs).

    Exposure to materials cataloging and spare parts data packages (SPDP).

    Excellent knowledge on PCR-SAP system related to capital program tracking and development.

    Familiar with all types of contract developments and procurements such as short,mid-form contract and long form contract.

    Provide vital inputs to daily and periodic project progress and status reports tomanagement.

    Work with plant engineers for all projects conducted inside bulk plants as of newinstallations or modifications to improve existing facilities.

    Participate in reviewing and approving Design Basis Scoping papers, project proposals and detailed design packages for major capital and BI-19 projects.

    Contribute with operation, maintenance and other engineers on reviewing red marking, as-built drawings for ERDD facilities.

    Familiar with all types of materials procurements methods through direct charge,stock and B2B.

    Work with vendors and contractors to fulfill all the requirements of the projectsubmittals; like NMRs, IFC design packages, red marks and as-built drawings participating in the commissioning for the ongoing major capital and BI-19 projects

    until successful startup.

    Participate in commissioning of plant projects follow-up the progress of ongoingprojects, check all quality project records.

    Coordinate and regulate various meetings, such as design review meetings, projectprogress review meetings and project close out meetings (Performance AcceptanceCertificate).

    Minimum Requirements

    A. EDUCATION: B.S. in Engineering.

    B. EXPERIENCE: Nine (9) years, preferably in the oil industry or similar processindustry, such that the incumbent is clearly recognized as

    an expert in his field.

    C. LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: No second language is required.

    D. OTHER: Must have a thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, U.S. and Aramco's Codes, Standards and Specifications.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    A. Plan, schedule and provide work direction as required for preparation of designs, processes, reports, correspondence and related data and assures the efficiency, adequacy and conformance to overall objectives of alt phases of very complex engineering problems.

    B. Support the development and formulate the basis for engineering studies in any of several basic or special engineering fields by

    analyzing and evaluating all data pertinent to problems. Evaluate data as to scope, effect on existing installations, economic value, long

    range planning and budgetary considerations.

    C. Lead the activity of project proposal that include development of scope, functions, interrelationship, integration, physical solution definition, cost estimate, etc. Lead project execution for project proposal, initiatives, studies and continuous improvement of solutions and

    Problem solvers.

    D. Initiate detailed work outline and makes decision as to basic approaches, processes and/or equipment. Perform work and/or delegates work to other engineers for final development of specialized or technical proposals and proposed projects.

    E. Bring all elements of a project together, make certain that all elements proceed satisfactorily on schedule and within the money allowed; and initiate corrective action as equired. Review cost estimates, recommendation from vendors, consultants, and licensors.

    F. Discuss, coordinates and resolve problems with personnel throughout Aramco and subsidiaries and with outside of company organizations. Act as technical consultant when required.

    G. Recommend new installations or modifications to improve existing facilities and standardization within broad fields of endeavor.

    Estimate costs, prepares justifications and completes expenditure requests as required.

    H. Review work of engineers directed. Check that reports are written according to established methods of good report presentation. Take recommendations for furt

    her study or report changes. Approve reports for transmittal to supervisor.

    About Us

    Saudi Aramco's Refining, Marketing & International (RM&I) business line is respo

    nsible for the Company's downstream operations: refining, distribution and marketing. RM&I oversees the operations of the Company's wholly owned refineries andNGL (natural gas liquids) fractionation plants. The business line is also responsible for the Company's large integrated distribution system that encompasses pipelines, bulk plants and marine terminals.
