Anne Cleveland: Hi, I’m Anne Cleveland.

PJ Van Hulle: And I’m PJ Van Hulle.

Anne Cleveland: And I want to welcome everyone to Total Niche Clarity, and the first

thing I want to do is really acknowledge you for taking the time to focus on your

business in this way and to listen to the experts talk about niche clarity. We’ve gotten

so many different perspective that I’m so excited for today’s talk, by the way, and all

the time that you invest in these kinds of things for your business will pay off in the end,

no doubt.

So today we are going to talk about discovering your niche blueprint through Vedic

astrology. You are going to learn about how to design your business so that it fits who

you are. You are also going to learn about how being aware of red, yellow and green

days can help you conserve your energies, avoid obstacles and attract more clients, and

you will learn about what those are. You will also learn about what your Vedic sun sign

reveals about how to successfully market your business, and the last thing is the three

key money indicators in your chart, where to put your efforts for maximum profit.

So PJ, would you like to introduce our speaker for today?

PJ Van Hulle: Absolutely, so Kathleen Whalen, her specialty is the art and science of

right timing, which means picking website and product launch dates, so I’ve consulted

her in launching my Prosperity Summit and other events and websites, and she also

helps entrepreneurs and business owners discover their niche in business within

minutes, which is actually the reason I called her in the first place, I think about a year

ago, was because I was struggling on getting my niche further dialed in. Her conscious

calendars explain economic cycles with Vedic astrology, so you can see like when is a

good time to launch different products and programs and she also has hedge fund

managers consulting her for that, too. She draws on 18 years of experience in business

and goes right to the heart of her client issues with all the science of astronomy and the

art of astrology.

If you are not familiar with it, the power of Vedic or East Indian astrology is what she

uses and this has become her number one tool for assisting clients in seeking financial

freedom, spiritual guidance, life purpose, their niche and their right timing and business.

So welcome, Kathleen.

Kathleen Whalen: Hello, it’s so wonderful to be here today.

PJ Van Hulle: We would love to start. If you could talk a little bit about what is your

niche and how did you find it because we find that people learn a lot through hearing

about other people’s process.

Kathleen Whalen: My niche is working with entrepreneurs and visionary executive. I

discovered this actually through Vedic astrology. It was through understanding my own

chart that I came to see that. One other wild piece to it is also how I discovered that

my voice sound and in particular mantra, which is one of my love, is one of the most

potent way that I can actually do my life’s work and is one of the places that I am meant

to affect the world is that all through my chart.

Anne Cleveland: This is Anne, and I’m curious about why do you think it’s even

important to find a niche, and if you could speak a little louder, that would be great so

we can get everything that you are saying.

Kathleen Whalen: Oh, gladly. As you know, what I love about niche and what I’d like

to do is talk generally about niche right now because my point of view about niche is

that it allows us to instantly meet with someone and have them understand who we are,

establish rapport and have long-term, high-paying clients through the life of our

business. That was niche really does. It will solve the problem, but it’s also about

building the long-term relationship, but most importantly, it’s the initial instant

relationship that niche establishes.

PJ Van Hulle: Cool. So when you talk about designing your business so that it fits who

you are, what do you mean by that specifically, and how do you start to do that?

Kathleen Whalen: Well, you could start with just a very general concept. Are you an

introvert, or are you an extrovert? Extroverts are much more inclined to be out teaching

more with classes, to be in front of people. Introverts will tend to be, not always

because we all can learn different skill set, but it’s about who we are and where we

naturally are comfortable and as a result can allow our talents to easily express. So

introverts sometimes are support people or they could still be teaching classes, but it’s

maybe behind the scenes. Maybe it’s just a voice, a disembodied voice in a radio show.

So even just talking about who are you, are you an introvert or are you an extrovert?

Where do you find it easiest to just be comfortable?

Anne Cleveland: And how do you use Vedic astrology to determine that?

Kathleen Whalen: Pretty instantly. That relates often to where someone’s sun sign is.

Now, we are not talking about your classic, “Hey, what’s you are sign,” but rather we

are talking about where the sun was at the time of your birth. Was it on the other side

of the Earth, and thus in the middle of the night? Was it high above you at noon?

These two factors will determine whether you will tend to be an executive leader,

whether you love being in front of people and get fed by being in front of tons of people,

whether you are of service in your work, whether you are support person or whether

you want to work in the garden and design topnotch landscaping for million-dollar

homes all alone and never speaking a word.

PJ Van Hulle: So can you just back up just a sec for people that aren’t familiar with it

and say what is Vedic astrology?

Kathleen Whalen: Oh gladly. Vedic astrology is actually Eastern or Indian, East

Indian astrology. It’s a minimum of 5- to 10,000 year old system that has never

stopped being used in ancient wisdom that looks at our consciousness and our karma

and literately is designed to help us reduce suffering in our life and to find our highest

form of expression and our highest good in the world.

Anne Cleveland: So it’s really about finding your path and your expression. When we

talk about niche, we are talking about your expression in the world through the business

path.

Kathleen Whalen: Exactly.

Anne Cleveland: Yeah.

Kathleen Whalen: Through the work that you do and how you interact with the world.

Anne Cleveland: Well, you talk about the red and the yellow and the green days, I

wonder if you can explain a little bit about what that is and how that applies to your

working in your business.

Kathleen Whalen: Great question. We are getting into some complex things, so stay

along with me. Just like your birth chart, the moment of your birth determines what

kind of person you are, what your best profession is, how you make money. Likewise,

any given day, any given moment has a chart, has a description of what is best to occur

at that time, and just like some people are very quiet and some people are big and bold

and bombastic this moment, it can be this, too. So when we act in resonance with

either being in the middle of a hurricane or in fine shelter or act in resonance on a

perfect sunny picnic day, I mean some people wear bikinis when they go snow seeing

and we wouldn’t wear a snow suit at the beach, so we are talking about appropriate

actions for appropriate weather.

Well, there is astrological weather, so I have taken all of this ancient knowledge and

compiled tons of data, all filtered through me, no computers, and weld it down so that

everybody can take a look at the day and say, “Oh, is this a quiet day? Is it raining

outside metaphorically? Or is it a sunny picnic day? Is it a great day to have a party to

have a business launch?” And so literally, it’s the calendar or conscious calendar so that

you can choose how you want to act in resonance with the day.

PJ Van Hulle: Okay.

Kathleen Whalen: But there is a difference between universal rhythm and individual

rhythm. The universal rhythm is we are all in a city where it’s sunny at the same time

or we are all in a city where there is a hurricane. That’s universal rhythm. Individual

rhythm is I’m personally having a sunny day, even though it’s raining and that

everybody I talk to is going to be interested in what I do for a living, and that is actually

a custom calendar, so all that information is on conscious calendar. People can go there

and then they get into the back side and they can learn more about that. I just wanted

to distinguish those two things.

Anne Cleveland: That’s a great distinction. It’s really interesting. I’m wondering if

you could go back and talk a little bit about the nature of niches and how you look at

exactly what a niche is.

Kathleen Whalen: Yeah, I love to talk about this. So one of my fun examples I like to

give, because with this we are coming up on an exercise. Everyone can take out a

pencil or a pen and paper the good, old fashioned way, or type it on the computer, but

let’s just imagine, we are going to use an example, that some is a dog walker for

business. Now, that’s very general. How can they even find beyond that a niche within

that? Well, there are many ways to focus on it, and these are general things that I’m

giving here not related to Vedic astrology right now, but it’s going to tie back in. So we

can focus on the product or service, the service here being walking the dog, but what

kind of dog does the dog walker take care of?

We can look at it by breed? Do they walk poodles only or Golden Retrievers? Break it

down to what kind of time, do they only do it at 8 AM every single day? Do they only do

it on the weekends? Do they only take small dogs? Maybe they have their ideal is to

work with Chihuahuas or they love the poodle, the standard poodle, and so you can take

this for your business and break down your product or service or all of them but start

with your biggie and take a look at all the different ways that you could actually describe

your ideal way with which to work with your product or service.

Then there is also focusing on the client themselves, like who are they and how do you

connect with them? And in this example if you are a dog walker, it maybe women only

or people who own two dogs, so you get double the pleasure of being paid twice. It

could be related to what neighborhood do people live in, if they live in the two

neighborhoods adjacent to you and close to the park. Or it could be related to picking

the neighborhood according to how much money people have, or it could be related to

dog show people only. So that is a way to establish instant rapport with the client or

with the kind of dog they have. We now have seven different ways that you could

actually create a niche within just being a dog walker.

PJ Van Hulle: Yeah, I love the way that you just break it down like that, and you went

through it kind of fast. So you can look at like the type of clients or the geographical

area or the type of dog in this case.

Kathleen Whalen: Right, exactly. So I started with the product or service, so in this

case, it’s walking the dog. So we focused on what kind of dog, what’s the breed of dog?

In other words, I’m trying to extrapolate to another example. So especially service-

based businesses, people can say, “Oh, I can help everyone.” But really in actuality,

what does your product do? In this case when you are service-oriented, what does your

product do? Okay, so it’s walking the dog is the service, but it’s oh you have more time,

so it’s focusing on the benefits.

PJ Van Hulle: Right. The benefits that they get from using that service.

Kathleen Whalen: Exactly.

PJ Van Hulle: It makes a lot of sense.

Kathleen Whalen: Right.

PJ Van Hulle: So in terms of you mentioned by having a niche, you build rapport. Can

you say a little bit more about that?

Kathleen Whalen: Yeah, this is a unique view I have, too, and it was sort of touched

off by Sajen Raja. Thank you very much, Sajen, because I’ve been in Chinese medicine

for 20 years, the yin and yang of marketing, so niche is actually a way to instantly

market but establish rapport. The yin and yang of marketing, and there are free niche

notes that we are going to be giving away here but it includes some of these concepts

that solving the problem is really a more masculine approach to marketing. Not

everyone wants their problem solved, they want to find the right person to solve the

problem. So even if they could find an expert to solve their problem, they still may not

buy. Rapport is related to the yin aspect of connection.

So we have yang which is related to the action, the action of the service we give and the

results that it brings, and/or the product and the results the product brings, or it’s the

yin aspect of connection. And most of us individually think about how you buy, do you

buy based on relationship, or do you buy based on there, “the absolute expert best I’m

going to pay the most because they are going to solve my problem the fastest.” We are

all a combination of the two and it makes a difference if it’s the bubble we are buying or

if it’s a $20,000 or $200,000 tractor, there is a difference in how we make these

decisions.

But the yin and yang of connection but also solving problem are two aspects of niche

marketing, so then we get to thrive. I’m sure you’ve been talking it quite a bit in this

seminar, but what is thrive. Thrive are all the places that we make connections with

people, that we can just say, “I’m an ultimate Frisbee playing attorney.” Boom! And so

I have a bunch of examples like this in the niche, in the nutshell niche.

Try some of these images on:

A marathon running doctor

Surfing mechanic

A dark chocolate loving hypnotherapist

Orchid expert accountant

So these are related to hobbies, but they add depths to who someone is. They are not

just an accountant, they could be a small business accountant or they could be an

executive accountant, and they could be a non-profit accountant. That’s another form of

niche. But they are an orchid expert so then they can actually connect with people who

are cultivating orchids and then as a result if we did this at every area of our life and

just expressing who we are genuinely we have so many arenas to create niches. So we

look for tribes of people because instantly we have rapport, and then when they ask

what you do, they are going to be much more inclined to listen to what you do.

Anne Cleveland: With this, I’m so interested in what you are saying because you are

attaching values to the name of an occupation. So an orchid expert accountant, you get

that right away, “Oh, and they are interested in nature or gardening or something like

that.” So you are going some much deeper into what people do and who they are, so

it’s excellent. I’m wondering, you were talking a little bit earlier about Vedic astrology

on finding your niche, and I’m wondering about how that really helps you zero in quickly

on your niche.

Kathleen Whalen: Well, there are two different things we are talking about here.

Now, we are into the whole other arena. There are ways that we build rapport, which is

just who we are, and there is the two biggie. One is how do we make money, and two

is what is our rightful profession, and so we’ve described everyone on the seminar that

there are going to be three main areas that we make money. But I’m going to go down

a little bit here and give you guys an idea of all the possibilities, but there are really

three main ones that entrepreneurs and business people have.

So let’s start, for example, there is hourly work, so if somebody works in retail or you

only do hourly consulting. That is related to one domain in someone’s Vedic astrology

chart. If that has strength and is connected with other money making areas, someone

makes a lot of money doing this. There is the arena of consulting contracts in the area

of coaches, hourly work, project-based work, entrepreneurs, travel or what it’s worth.

This is related to one to two other areas in someone’s Vedic astrology chart. There is

wealth building. What I call automatic income, compounded interest. This is wealth.

That is money that makes money or dollars. You don’t touch it. You don’t have to

break a sweat. Then there is inheritance which has nothing to do with our profession.

Then there is windfall in lottery, again, probably not related to our profession. These are

other areas that describe our life, and some people have indications to get money this

way.

Then there is the area of speculation or stocks and investment. Some people have that

domain very strong, and that could be their profession or they make a lot of money on

the side, but they’ve got a regular day job and just have a meager salary but are able to

make a lot of money on the side because they are savvy in investment. And then there

is also salary job, which shows up very differently than for an entrepreneur. So we can

even see, “Hey, should I quit my day job or not?” And have been helping people.

You’ve got three of the four strong traits that right here you are not going to be able to

follow through and really fluffing an entrepreneur. The key to day job, and do a little of

this stuff on the side, but don’t get up the day job, so we can see this through

someone’s chart, and as we can see there are some main areas that I described that are

related to how we make money.

PJ Van Hulle: So with that, you just kind of blew my mind there.

Anne Cleveland: I know it too.

PJ Van Hulle: In your chart, you can even see where you are more likely to make

money. If you are more likely to make money being an hourly employee in somebody

else’s business versus your own, versus having something on the side, versus something

fun and then investing, and you see that by looking at – what exactly are you looking

at? Like how do people figure out what’s going to work best for them?

Kathleen Whalen: Well, that is, of course, consulting a Vedic astrologer. You don’t

have to consult me. But the system itself describes this very clearly, and so there are

literally houses that describe regions of the sky at the moment of your birth, and then

there are where the planets were and then all of these energetic metaphors that when

certain things come together in certain combinations, there are strengths and there are

what I call talents where your abilities can actually show up and be completed, and if

those are showing up in areas of making money, you can make money through doing

certain kinds of things.

So we can see when somebody is going to be an admin crackerjack, admin assistant,

but they are not going to go out and be an entrepreneur versus somebody else who is

going to travel and be in import/export person, and you can see all of this and whether

it’s going to be good or not. So again when we get to the profession, so there are areas

of making money in profession. These two must come together if we are going to run

businesses for ourselves, so profession and money making, so people either have salary

jobs or they are entrepreneurs, or they need to just show up and do a regular work and

then try and make money at a couple of other places, like we can see how hard it’s

going to be, and there are different time periods of our lives.

It’s not predetermined, “Oh, you will be for the rest of your life.” There are time periods

that this gets to lit up, so there are harder times than others, and we’ve all saw that,

haven’t we? So then there is your actual work, which is then related a bit to some of

what I was talking about before which is leadership executive. Are you an admin person

at a regular job? Do you do agrarian work? Are you an architect? Do you do sales and

marketing? Is it technical? Do you work on airplanes or architecture, math and

science? Do you sell through technology or do you seel face to face in brick and mortar?

We can even see this in food services, retail, fashion, counseling, healing profession.

These are all domains. They are literally houses of a chart, and then if there are things

all connected, then we can go, “Oh, I see, someone’s profession will be this. But oh

look, I see over here, they are going to make money somewhere else. If they are

connected, then we can make money through our profession.” Like a housewife, right?

Anne Cleveland: [Agrees]

Kathleen Whalen: Let’s be honest, we are not paid. We should be paid, but what,

$150,000 now? Is that what they say?

Anne Cleveland: At least.

Kathleen Whalen: Yeah, right, no money coming in so we can see the profession is to

manage executively an entire household, which are then in other things, but no money

coming in. But oh look, nice house, nice life, it’s okay.

PJ Van Hulle: Cool. We actually have a question on the blog from Jeannette. She

says, “Can you back to the part about the time a person is born?” She says, “I was born

around 3:30 AM. What does this mean?”

Kathleen Whalen: Lovely. So at 3:30 AM is going to put that your personal sun,

anyone born from about 1:30 to 3:30 AM, means that the sun was not out and so the

sun being part of how we interact with the world, being when we have the sun above us

we tend to be executive. Now, I found plenty of people, according to their ascendant

and other things, they still get up on stages and perform, depending on their ascendant,

but that the intrinsic nature of where you are fed start coming back to being an introvert

or extrovert. So profession, and this is where it can get tricky sometimes because

somebody could be born at 3:30 AM, but it’s like they have to train and do all these

things and be in front of people and do all these stuff and it’s good for them to be in a

profession. It’s determined that this is a great way for them to interact with the world,

where their talents are shared, but intrinsically they may not get fed by it.

So at 3:30 AM typically means you have a depth to you and you get embarrassed not

through talking. It’s different than profession, different than making money or those

sort of things. It’s about your true nature and how you are either nourished through

interaction with the world or not.

Anne Cleveland: I’m just loving how you are opening the idea of where you get

nourished, where you make money, where you are most comfortable in the world, and

one question is coming up from me is, does the astrology also tells you here is a place

where you actually need to push through even though it’s more difficult, and here is the

place where you need to share the time when you need to go where there is less

resistance? Is there a sort of an indicator around that? Because sometimes things get

difficult but it really is our path.

Kathleen Whalen: Great question, and yes indeed we can see that, and so that’s

where this really becomes a beautiful guide because this is like, “Hey, is there going to

be light at the end of this tunnel? Is this worth it? Am I wasting my energy?” A lot of

people ask that, but then when I look at them, and I’m a truth digger, and so I have to

determine how much they really want to hear the truth because some people, if I say,

“Hey, it’s going to be tough. You’ve got to persevere for another year,” some people are

like, “I’m going to scrap it then.” But if I guide them a little bit, they are going to make

the whole year, they are going to make it through, and it’s all okay and you are doing

fine in your business.

So we can definitely say when to lay low, and then what I do with entrepreneurs, too, is

we talk about when to raise rates, when to raise rates, when to go on vacation because

if it’s not moving, why buck the system?

PJ Van Hulle: Totally.

Kathleen Whalen: So vacation in the downtimes or if you are not vacationing, you

know that you have to work four times as hard to get three-quarters the amount of

clients or deals or jobs or whatever. You just know that, and then at the good times,

here is a biggie, I’m giving away a secret here, so if any Vedic astrologers hear this, this

is one of the things I use is that depending on someone’s ascendant, when we are

coming into the time where it’s going to be rocking, which either a year at a time for

some people or one to three months every year, we don’t wait until business start

getting good, you raise your rate or you repackage things right on the money two weeks

before you are about to hit the good time because people who have a two0 to three-

month arc every year that were good, most people can see they got an arc and then

they got a quiet time and then it kind of comes back up.

About 40% of people in the world, this is their pattern, and so most people when they

get into the good month, they go, “Oh look, everything is happening.” And then the

second month is really good, and they are like, “Oh, I think I’m going to raise my rate.”

And then that third month, things is good because they always do. Because there are

indications related to profession where things go quiet and then they think, “Oh God,

people want to wait because I raised my rate.” You raised your rates two months

before, you make some money in those two months and you’ve gone on vacation on the

third month.

Anne Cleveland: I love it.

PJ Van Hulle: Right. Also, I know that you were talking about the money indicators in

your chart in terms of hourly work versus consulting versus wealth building. I know you

also talked about profession. Did you say everything that you wanted to say about that?

Kathleen Whalen: Good question. I believe I have. I mean, there is always more to

say about that, but mostly because I think we are speaking with entrepreneurs, I just

want to stay on track. I think the think I would add is that in the wealth building and

speculation areas, this is where I actually see a lot of people in the internet marketing

world have great connections because they can create an e-product. They can create

things. You break a sweat initially, but then once it’s out there, you have the product

and with less effort you can then continue to make money. There might still be another

health indication where you need to do some marketing. But the product is created.

You don’t have to create it every time like in essence a counselor or a health care

practitioner that see someone every single hour and he tweaks it. You are progressing

forward, of course, but it’s a different style of how money is made.

Anne Cleveland: Interesting. I am curious about what your sign reveals about how

you can successfully market your business.

Kathleen Whalen: Biggie. A couple of different things here. There will be time

periods where actually, certain words, and this is about the resonance again about the

astrological weather and so literally you are a radio and so who you are in your chart

has an energy to you and when you speak certain words, your tribe or like-minded, or

better yet, money paying clients can find you. And so when we combine certain sounds

with marketing language connected with the money making places, so I do this by

metaphor. I end up connecting it by a metaphor.

So when someone of a certain ascendant has Venus connected with our profession and

then Venus is doing something tremendous in the sky at the time, and this happened

last year, I said, “Oh, for about 30 to 40% of you people out there, the word shine and

glimmer and sparkle, and I had put all these words out there on an older site, on some

town center, I put all these words out there for people saying, “The marketing sounds

for now, the themes are these.” And then a colleague ended up putting out a film called

Shine at that exact time. So these metaphors are out there that people go, “Oh, the

energy is there.” And then they are attracted to the astrological weather of the time.

By knowing this, you can then connect with people more quickly and then you can also

determine what your radio frequency is, so there is resonance. I don’t know how clear

that one was, but…

PJ Van Hulle: Yeah, it makes sense. I remember when you were talking to me about

like the Prosperity Retreat program that I have like even there were certain times that

just using the word retreat was going to be like a very appealing words about that.

Kathleen Whalen: Right, resonance is what was going on for you.

PJ Van Hulle: Yeah, we have a comment on the blog. By the way, and we are

covering a lot of information, so there is actually a handout that goes along with this talk

Kathleen Whalen: But then we are talking birth times and seasons, too. So winter is

very different than noon in summer, and so yes, we can go through it. What I’ll do is I’ll

quarter the day. How does that sound?

Anne Cleveland: Great.

Kathleen Whalen: So we’ve got from about, let’s say, 11:30 PM through

approximately 3:30 PM which gives variations of what I had described for Jeannette. A

lot more introvert energy about how you are nursed. Then we have just the predawn

time and through sunrise depending on the time of year. So think about what time of

year you are born and then you can actually go in and look, I mean it comes up on

someone’s chart to be able to see exactly when the sun rose so we can see on that day

whether someone is born before or after the sun rise. So again, when you think about

what happened before a sunrise, we have that purple sky and we have the glimmer of

light of where the sun actually rises, and then there is the brightness of light as the sun

rises.

When we get really just born just after sunrise or just before and just after sunset, there

is a quality of light that is dealing with transformation and the possibility, so this

becomes a great talent in someone’s life. So sometimes they actually are healers.

Usually at sunset, people often deal with other people’s suffering. There is a quality of

being able to deal with the unseen when the sun has set, when it just set. This is a

strong quality in someone’s life, or transforming things, taking a business and turning it

around.

When we are dealing with the predawn and the dawn time, it’s a different quality of

hope and promise and clarity. When we are just right at the dawn time, things are

sometimes hard to see. We will be out. Can you imagine the times you’ve been out

driving at that time? There still can be sometimes shadows and so there is hope and

promise and some forms of clarity but also sometimes we have to work on having more

clarity in our life.

Then we’ve got post-sunrise and the building sun before it’s gets hot, especially in India

where this came from. So these metaphors do come through from a very, very hot

country, and so the rising after that has happened, then people have a building energy.

We haven’t even talked about the moon. The moon is the most important thing in the

Vedic system. So we are just talking about a quality about how you nurse yourself, how

your immune system is, your sense of vitality and how you interact with the world. Your

moon has to do with a different quality of who you truly are, and every single planet

does, so all of these gets tied together. So I just want to throw that out there.

Then as we come to the rising sun in noon, we have the sun overhead. So it is hotter,

but it is much warmer, there is more activity. If we are talking siesta time at 2 PM to 3

PM, that can get pretty darn hot, and so these people tend to have a lot of fire in them.

They is usually a lot of passion and intensity and drive, depending on what season and

what the other planets are. So they often can be executive energy, but if it’s not an

executive, they are a work horse man, they can just keep going and going and going, or

have a drive or a passion or tend to push through things.

First is when we have a sunrise birthday, they are usually very gentle people. They may

have a great vision and can still be a workhorse, but there is a gentleness. Think about

the light itself. It’s very strong in midday, and then have the evening hours going into

what we were talking about before, which is starting to not be seen as the sun goes

down on the other side. And then we have the evening hours, again depending on the

season, is it a long summer day with twilight, or is it a cold winter day with clear, clear

sky? How was it on the day you were born? All of these come through.

Anne Cleveland: I know you talked already a little bit about money, but can you say

what these three money indicators are in your chart about getting maximum profits?

Kathleen Whalen: Oh yes. Okay, so how to do this without looking at each individual

chart?

PJ Van Hulle: You can pull up mine. I don’t mind.

Kathleen Whalen: All right, I’ll do that just so I can speak generally, and thank you

for that permission. Oh, I know what I’m going to do. All right. Okay, here is an

example. It’s not PJ’s, so I’m choosing someone else. So for example, remember at the

beginning when I mentioned I knew that I could money through my voice, again the

second house of someone’s chart has to do with those nourishment, but it has to do with

what we acquire to fulfill our life purpose. That can be money. That can be information.

That can be objects. That can be family. That can be friend’s nourishment. That

second house is often related to hourly work and satisfaction with it.

So depending on what is in someone’s second house, we can see some people have big,

big, big second house so they either have eating issues and/or they can make money,

but sometimes with their certain indications, they may or may not even be happy with

that. We know plenty of very wealthy people who maybe aren’t so happy, and we can

see when someone maybe has small but steady income and they are very content, or

they are very tight fisted. So we can see how money comes in and we can see how

money goes out even. That’s related to a different house, how money goes out. So that

has to do with nourishment which has to do with food. So income on that case has to

do with sort of the every day, roof over the head, food on the table, these kinds of

things.

So when those indicators are strong, we usually see either people make money through

their voice, through sales, and/or sometimes in the food industry, but this is all related

to the metaphors of the planet and how does they connect. It’s very complex. The

system is very complex, and no insult, but a little more complex than the Western

system in a lot of ways. So we can see all of these energies come together and describe

what’s going on in the second house and how someone will make money there.

When we see a very strong house of contracts of sort of project based work, which

consultants do, even coaches, even healthcare workers do this, that has got to do with

relationships in the seventh house. Most entrepreneurs are very good at relationships.

Even if it’s just through email, even if we are an introvert who is a radio host or is a

behind the scenes person, we can still be a behind the scenes person and be a great

entrepreneur. So that seventh house has to do with contracts and making money,

sometimes with travel and having to do with interaction with a lot of different people,

lots of relationships.

When that is strong and connected with profession or money making, we see

entrepreneurs doing very well. Most importantly, when we get indications of timing,

either a planetary cycle you personally are running or major good planets, that’s your

Jupiter coming opposite you, it will be a good year that year. So I’m looking at

someone’s chart and it’s like, “Oh, I see Jupiter is in the house of wealth and it’s going

over a major indication of what’s going on in the person’s life.” So they are becoming a

social media expert and are on the verge of exploding and changing the world of social

media and the world of creating tribes through how people interact, like literally game

changing.

So I can see that this is going on in this person’s life because it’s going through the

place of tribe. We have expansion in the place of wealth building. We have expansion

and connection with bigwigs. Now, I see this in a number of different ways, and there

are about three people I’m thinking of right now, and so some of them are establishing

speaker associations and having huge expansion in their “tribe.” Is this helpful?

Anne Cleveland: Very helpful.

PJ Van Hulle: When I hear you talk about this stuff, where I go with it, it’s like, “Oh

God, it’s so complicated.” Like I just wanted somebody to look at my individual chart

and explain my stuff to me so I could just ahead, and so that’s why I ended up hiring

you. So for people that are kind of like overwhelmed trying to figure it out for

themselves, can you tell them how to get in touch and just do a niche blueprint with you

because I know, you know.

Kathleen Whalen: Oh, gladly. Yes, thank you for that. Yes, my email address, and

about this, and it’s broad and yet we can get very specific on how to help individuals.

PJ Van Hulle: So for the people who are thinking like, “Oh God, I’m scared to contact

her because she’s going to charge me a $1,000,” like can you talk about your rates like

what it would cost to have you like go through the niche blueprint with somebody?

Kathleen Whalen: Gladly, thank you. Yes, for 90 minutes, I give a discount of a $160

and I’m only a $130 an hour, and so I feel it’s so important to take extra time especially

with the first session. It doesn’t matter what kind of session it is, so that we can cover

everything and I give you jam-packed information, recorded, of course, and then you

can listen to it many times, and then we are drawing in an extra special that if you have

come to me through this connection, I’m also going to give people an extra 20 minutes

free follow up which I charge $55 for that as a special only for first time clients, but it’s

really valued at I think $90 or $95 I charge you for my actual time. So I just wanted to

really give you guys support and I find that follow up will make a huge difference

because you get to listen to your session and then anywhere from two to four weeks

later we have the 20-minute follow up and you get to just go, “Okay, here is my

question, bam, bam, bam, bam,” and all I need is the birth date. I don’t need anything.

I don’t need to know your questions or anything because as I draw up your chart, I

know what your questions are.

Anne Cleveland: Yeah.

PJ Van Hulle: Now, that worked really well for me. So just to be clear, it’s a $160 for

a 90-minute session. They will get their chart, you will go through it with them in terms

of their business, their niche blueprint, their money indicators, and then the bonus for

being part of this call is not only do they get the discounted rate, they get it for a $160,

But actually, you charged me, but that’s fine. It’s really all worth it. What I did was

nature of Vedic astrology mixed with my personal practices that I do, and a good Vedic

astrologer can do this, but I do have this particular niche where I help conscious

business owners. Not everybody goes in with such detail, but I love it.

what your full name is because it’s just showing M on this that says, “This is fascinating.

I’ve never heard of this particular kind of astrology. My sun sign is Pisces, rising sign is

Virgo and Earth sign is Taurus. I’m deep in trenches with trying to figure out how to

express myself in a clear and try to have a six-figure business that’s sustainable since

Kathleen Whalen: All right.

PJ Van Hulle: And Kathleen, I know you’ve been really meditating on this and chewing

on this and knowing this call was coming. We’ve been talking about this for a few

months, and we are starting to run out of time, so is there anything that you want to

make sure that we cover before we move forward?

Kathleen Whalen: Well, as we come full circle, there is Vedic astrology chart, and let’s

be honest, unless you are 18 years old on this call, there are portions of your life where

you know you find joy, and it’s those areas that I really want to encourage everyone.

Think about how you find nourishment. Think about where you find joy. If it’s just how

you choose your vegetable at the supermarket, you can actually connect with a

vegetable person, the fruit person at the market, and they may actually give you some

kind of a lead in your business. So trust in that flow because that is really what life is

about and that’s what our profession is about. Especially when we are entrepreneurs,

it’s following that flow and cultivating relationships because the vegetable person may

not be your client, but who knows who they know? You really don’t know these things,

and so just follow that energy of what you love to do, taking walks alone in the park or I

use the sailing.

As you cultivate these things and connect with people who you find instant rapport with,

this translates in the social media world by being more genuine in who you are because

the world needs it. The world needs you in what you have to offer and however you are

meant to offer it, so please do that.

Anne Cleveland: I love that. I was thinking last year I was just really noticing how

much I love to cook, and I realized that when I need to just break away from working

and getting things done, all I have to do is start cutting vegetables and I’m so happy.

So I was just thinking what you are saying. Just taking that time to really notice, and

that takes some practice to actually notice when you are really happy.

Kathleen Whalen: It does, and then sometimes these things lead to either connecting

with people over food and then because you are happy, you are vibrating a certain way,

and then the foodies are talking and before you know it, somebody needs what you were

selling, and so you just keep following that energy. But I also think of it like on public

TV. I believe it’s a national program in the US that there is a doctor now who 20 years

into his career went off and became a culinary chef, and so again we get that image,

and so he has created DVDs and so he’s got like a Rosemary chicken dish, and there is

like a compound in Rosemary that can actually help prevent Alzheimer’s. So he made a

Rosemary chicken dish so you get information and you get the food and you get the

recipe and he’s a doctor who is a chef.

Anne Cleveland: I love it.

Kathleen Whalen: Right, so follow those passions, whether you would be creating a

product in that area or you just connect with people because you are foodie or you get

nourished by being alone doing certain things. By doing that, then it allows you to be

much more aware so that then when you go out into the world from doing your quiet

nurturing thing, you then can actually joyfully meet people, and that then will allow your

talents to flow. Oh, I’m sorry, I do want to add something.

Anne Cleveland: Please.

Kathleen Whalen: So there are areas of profession. Those are related to the karma

houses, not as in karma the effects of something we’ve “thought or done before,” but

rather karma means action. So there are domains of our consciousness related to

money. There are domains of consciousness related to action, what we are meant to do

in the world, and then there are areas of purpose and those are actually called Lakshmi

signs. Lakshmi is the goddess of prosperity. Prosperity and purpose are connected, not

so much as in, “Oh, money hand over fist,” but rather when we are fulfilling purpose, we

are abundant and some of us, most of us, I’m guessing most of the people on this call

have action connected with purpose somewhere in our life, and when these come

together, these great yogas. Yoga actually means union and Vedic astrology, I forgot to

mention, guys, is a sister sign to yoga, ayurveda, which is the healing science of India

and I in Vedic astrology or Jyotisha, the light that comes through and shines light on

your path.

So each of you have yogas, areas of union for purpose and talent. I call it talent

because of the skill set that’s gets used in your consciousness, in your being, and when

these come together, we have full flow of purpose and abundance and prosperity.

Anne Cleveland: It sounds like what you are talking about is what a lot of people have

talked about on these calls is that sweet spot.

Kathleen Whalen: Oh, there it is, yes.

Anne Cleveland: So where it all comes together.

Kathleen Whalen: Exactly.

PJ Van Hulle: So if you could, I’m curious, Kathleen, like what changes for your clients

once they find this clarity?

Kathleen Whalen: I think some of the biggies are my talent is in validation, where the

suffering is and where the ease is, and it’s not that we ignore the suffering, it’s that we

have context for the suffering. We explain it, and that again the light at the end of the

tunnel, are things going to shift soon? How are they going to shift? And so just

sometimes by knowing we can calm down in the moment if we have anxiety or fear or

not knowing, and it’s again not about prediction, but rather validation, “You know, hey,

the last two years have been really, really rough.” And so validation is one of the

biggest things, and what I personally do is I tend to inspire, and so people tend to get

excited about their lives even if they are in a really rough time. They tend to get really

excited because we can point out where all the promises and where all the talent is, and

where people are supposed to put their energy so that you can gain more fruits.

We are a field of orchard. We are an orchard, and some of the trees are going to bear

more fruit than others, and if we only have so much water which is life force and energy,

which ones are we going to water? We are going to water the ones that will tend to fruit

more and then we are going to gently just take a little bit of the water and give it to the

other ones because over time they are going to turn around when we hit the rainy

season in summer, and we focus on where we can have the fruits and then we can alter

our consciousness by expressing effort in our more problematic areas of life, but just a

little bit. Just a little bit to nudge that along. We focus on where we can have

movements and hope and express ourselves in the world.

Anne Cleveland: I just want to say if anybody has any inkling to have a session with

you, they have to do it. It just sounds so fantastic.

Kathleen Whalen: Oh, thank you. Yeah, I so enjoy my work and I just so am touched

that you wanted to have me on this call because you guys have been so great, and as

you can see, it’s a big topic and it can be general or it can be specific, and so thank you

for walking this along with me and letting me share this ancient and pretty out there

wisdom with people that I think is really powerful.

PJ Van Hulle: But the reason we really, really wanted you to be a part of this event is

because you come at it from such a different approach, and we wanted through this to

approach the whole conversation with niche in enough different ways that by the end of

it, one of those just lands for people where they are like, “Okay, great. I got it.” And
