On the following pages you will find all the activities offered by our departments. All departments offer subject talks giving you further details about the degree programmes and admissions criteria. These give you a real insight into what studying the programme is really like. Make sure you visit the departmental drop-in sessions for the opportunity to ask more detailed and individual questions about the subjects you’re interested in.
If the department offers a tour of their facilities, taster sessions or other activities, you will find all the information about the times and location in this section of the programme. When planning your day, please allow enough time to travel between venues. Please use the Open Day planner on page 46 to plan your day.
TIPS AND HINTS
Our talks are often fully booked, as they are very popular among prospective students. We kindly ask all additional guests to free up their place in case the seats fill up, to ensure that all prospective students will get the chance to attend their subject talk.

’ UNION UCL
At Students’ Union UCL, we’re making more happen. The Union is made of all kinds of people from all kinds of places. You’ll never have a better chance to throw yourself into something new and finding an opportunity that fits you, however big or small, is what it’s all about.
The Open Days are a great opportunity for you to see how we make more happen as part of your life at UCL.
The Union offers all sorts of ways to discover something that will become a part of who you are. Get up on stage. Be creative. Lead a movement. Push yourself further than you imagined. Make sure to visit our stand in the Wilkins Building at the Student Services Fair (map ref D3 ) to explore the endless opportunities.
TIPS AND HINTS…make sure to visit the Students’ Union UCL website to find out more…
What’s so special about Students’ Union UCL?
When some students think of “the union” they think it’s as a building with student bars. We have bars and cafes too, but the Students’ Union UCL is more than a space, it’s a service which you can be involved in. You can be an academic rep, vote in elections, read Pi media – it’s all Students’ Union UCL.
Very few Unions have a volunteering team with as many opportunities as ours. There is an incredible level of support for volunteers, with every kind of project you could think of and even the chance to start your own.
Come and speak to us at the Student Services Fair and meet our Sabbatical Officers, Student Societies Representatives as well as Advice and Volunteering staff.
