3 DEFINITIONS
Communication : taking strategic and targeted measures for promoting the action and its results to a multitude of audiences, including the media and the public, and possibly engaging in a two‐way exchange
Dissemination : public disclosure of the results of the project, process of promotion and awareness‐raising. It makes research results known to various stakeholder groups in a targeted way, to enable them to use the results in their own work (Dissemination plan & WP)
Exploitation : use of the results during and after the project’s implementation. For commercial purposes but also for improving policies, and tackling economic and societal problemsrights

• Good understanding of the barriers and follow‐up steps
• You need to choose the most suitable form of IP protection, as well as the duration and geographical coverage

IPR Management : you need to agree on issues such as access to background, ownership of the research results, nondisclosure agreement (NDA) and determining its terms and conditions
Define joint ownership in the Consortium Agreement & separate joint ownership agreement
Valour users/stakeholders’ contribution in this production and sharing of new knowledge, by specifying how they will be committed (signed protocols, adhesion to services, …)
In your data management plan: list the example of reference data being collected throughout the project & how they will be dealt with (security wise mainly)

Free access to publications resulting from funded projects
Articles directly and immediately accessible to the public. The author is also the payer (eligible)
Self-archiving: authors deposit copies of their articles on an open archive (example: "HAL").
Free access can be delayed up to 6 months (12 months for SHS).
Link with the compulsory WP
