BIG 2015

WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE CLASS WILL MEET FOR

THE LAST TIME BEFORE SUMMER RECESS ON MAY 6TH.

FOLLOWING CLASS THEY WILL HAVE A POTLUCK

LUNCHEON, PLEASE JOIN THEM!!

A few days ago I had an opportunity to speak on Skype (a form of communication over the Internet which is free and allows one to see as well as hear the other person) with Lalo Rocha, whose family we help to support as they work in the gospel in Mexico City. Here are some of the things that we talked about:

The Iglesia de Cristo Metropolitana, located in

downtown Mexico City, continues to grow both in numbers and in maturity.

Thanks to special contributions by supporting

congregations the last three years, great progress has been made on improving the con gregation's building. Our Mexico brethren are appreciative for this help.

For the last two years a couple from the

Metropolitana congregation, Chucho and Abby Sosa, have been studying at Sunset Interna tional Bible Institute in Lubbock. They will graduate in May and then will do a six week internship this summer with the Cherry Lane congregation here in Midland. The Sosa's ultimate plan is to begin an evangelistic ministry among college students in Mexico City.

In May, Lalo plans to make a trip to the U.S. to

visit supporting congregations (including North "A") and to attend the Sosa's graduation at Sunset.

The congregation has received a permit from

the city to do two-day Vacation Bible Schools in two different public parks in Mexico City.

One of the dreams of for the Metropolitana

congregation is to begin every two years to ask two couples from the congregation begin full- time ministry training. This would involve mornings spent in study through Texas International Bible Institute (the TIBI director, Steve Austin, spoke at North "A" in 2012 about this good work) and afternoons and evenings spent in ministry and evangelistic work.
