Awarded to develop a wireless health care monitoring suite, the ViSionRF. This
MSCA fellowship is among Europe’s most competitive and prestigious awards,
aimed at supporting the best and most promising scientists. This award fosters the

This award helped equip my laboratory through the acquisition of a 67 GHz Keysight
PNA vector network analyzer and the development of the Reconfigurable Antenna
Measurement Platform (RecAMP). This grant was instrumental in creating a well-
funded research program on reconfigurable and autonomous antennas & RF systems.

Research Funding and Sponsored Projects
$3,836,682 at SDSMT ($2.0 million for the university), developed a vibrant and well-funded
graduate program starting from an empty laboratory space. Highlights: Built an anechoic chamber,
acquired PNA and other equipment, developed a unique in-house-build reconfigurable antenna
measurement platform, wrote successful competitive proposals, managed students, post-docs, and
staff, and delivered research outcomes and publications.
~€500,000 at Heriot Watt university since 2017, actively growing a research group a is directing
4 research projects from fundamental research to accelerated innovations on miniaturized antennas,
metasurfaces using functional materials and radars for wireless vital sign detection and tracking.

Teaching
Dr. Anagnostou is an award-winning instructor. He has developed a repertoire of courses ranging
from freshmen to Ph.D. level, including many courses with new taught material, laboratory
experiments, tutorials, and assignments. Dr. Anagnostou has also taught short-courses for the
European School of Antennas (ESoA) (Oct. 2018), the 5G Summer School Workshop (June
2018) at Heriot Watt University events, and has given invited seminar talks worldwide.
