About This Document
This document is designed to aid in the process of replacing old operating software with newoperating software in the ASA 312 or NAA 1 test set. Its intended audience is Digital Lightwave
employees and Digital Lightwave Customers.
Introduction
The ASA 312 or NAA 1 Network Information Computer (NIC) allows you to Upgrade its
operating software by transferring new files into the unit, replacing old files. This is accomplishedby setting up a connection between the ASA 312 or NAA 1 and a desktop or laptop computer.
Once the files are installed in the PC, they can then be transferred to the ASA 312 or NAA 1across a connection.
The operating files can be obtained in various ways. Some install procedures will vary depending
on the type of connection desired and the configuration of the ASA 312 or NAA 1 beingupgraded.
