Differentiated Instruction
Course Description
Acquire an understanding of differentiated instruction within the K-12 environment. Recognize the
purpose of differentiated instruction as it relates to content mastery. Identify strategies included in
the planning and instructional processes.
Course Objectives
Define differentiated instruction
Recognize when differentiation is appropriate
Explore learning styles and multiple intelligences
Explore methods of differentiating
Distinguish between strategies, modifications, and accommodations
Identify an appropriate planning process for the differentiated classroom
Understand grading after instruction
