Dewsall is surrounded by Duchy of Cornwall land and views of The Black Mountains. When you hire Dewsall for a wedding, you have the help of a dedicated event planner to guide you through the preparations and who is there on the day to ensure everything is perfect! The best way to get a feel for Dewsall’s unique atmosphere is to experience it, so come along and visit us for a private guided tour.
At Dewsall there are no hard and fast rules or packages to speak of; weddings are simply tailored to suit the day you have always imagined. Booking at Dewsall means a retreat away from real life with your nearest and dearest, cocooned and looked after to the highest standard and with an epic wedding at the heart of the stay.
We have put together the following to help you understand the ins and outs of a wedding at Dewsall Court.

Outdoor Ceremonies
Enjoy a less traditional wedding; walk down the aisle and exchange your vows in the beautiful grounds of Dewsall Court. We are open to ideas and can recommend celebrants to conduct your service just about anywhere on the estate. Do something a bit different and celebrate the best day of your life in the (fingers crossed) sunshine of Dewsall’s glorious gardens!
The Church
By prior arrangement, it is possible to have a blessing or full marriage service in St Michael & All Angels, a 12th Century Church situated at the bottom of the garden. This ancient little church can seat approximately 70 plus another 30 standing although much larger numbers have been squeezed in on occasion!

Every ElementWe can help you take the stress out of wedding planning and bring together everything you need for a truly fantastic event. Included in the price of a Dewsall wedding is a wedding planner to help arrange your wedding stay and run the day itself. We have handpicked the best local and national suppliers who offer quality products at competitive prices. We can arrange or supply everything including the wedding stationary, cake, flowers, photographer, confetti, favours, decorations, lighting and music.
Eat, Drink and be Merry!Food is so important to us that we have picked the best of the best to ensure everything meets your high expectations. We have a highly skilled and experienced catering team at Dewsall. Our menus and wine list can be viewed on the website and, as ever, if you wish for a bespoke creation please just ask. As each wedding is different, staffing and equipment will be quoted for once we know what your requirements are but all prices include the use of carefully sourced china, cutlery and tableware which bring sophisticated style to any wedding party.
AccommodationDewsall can sleep between 20 and 27 people. The house itself has 8 bedrooms and there are another two (the Hay Bluff and Skirrid Rooms) in the Cottage Barn. These are all large double rooms with King or Super King size beds and their own bathrooms with the most brilliant baths - it’s one of our ‘things’! All are ready and waiting with the amenities to make sure you have a relaxed and comfortable stay. Details, photographs, and floor plans can be seen on the website.
Arrival and DepartureWhilst we are fairly relaxed about proceedings at Dewsall, we ask that you arrive at the house after 1pm on a Friday and depart by 1pm on a Sunday for a typical wedding weekend.
ParkingWe have limited parking at Dewsall depending on the weather. We recommend you ask any additional guests to car share or taxi to the event.
Wainhouse includes: Tables, chairs, table linen, eco, vintage and antique tableware, fire pit, super cool in house loos and brand new kitchen with all mod cons to make your feast happen! Retractable floor to ceiling windows, purpose built dance floor, Funktion One sound system, striking bar and brilliant heating system. Music must finish and alcohol will stop being served at 12 midnight.
The Church includes: Vicar and organists fees.
Please note: Whilst this is just general information Please remember that Dewsall weddings are very much your own creation. We work very hard with you to ensure that your day is absolutely what you want it to be and for this reason we will only ever do one wedding a weekend - we are as far from being a wedding factory as can possibly be!

After Party DenThe cellar has been redesigned to create a party space for your house guests and 8 golden ticket invitees to party till late once the main event has come to and end. We understand that the show must go on!

Your very own Event Manager who will be a friend, and a support. She will guide you through your planning process with hints, tips and advice. She and her assistant will be there with you on the day running the logistics and ensuring the photographer, bands, guests and you are where you need to be, having a wonderful time and ensuring your wedding is everything you had both hoped for!
