    CHANNEL 1 (Normal)

    1. Input Jack Connects the guitar to the amplifier. Werecommend that you always use a high qualityscreened cable to help prevent noise, interferenceand unwanted feedback.

    2. Gain Control Controls the gain level of the normal channel,giving clean sounds up to halfway, then bringingin blues to crunch rhythm sounds as the gainincreases.

    3-5. Bass, Middle & TrebleExperimenting with these three wide ranginginteractive bands of equalisation will give you aclearer understanding of the versatile G50RCDtones available from this channel.

    6. Channel Select Push SwitchPush switch to change from normal to boostchannels. Note - This switch must be in forfootswitch to function.

    CHANNEL 2 (Boost)

    7. Gain ControlControls the gain level on the boost channel. Takesome time to experiment with the varying gainlevels to find the wide variety of distortion soundsavailable.

    8. Contour ControlMid-band contour shift, giving wide voicing sweepfor maximum tonal versatility on overdriveselections. When used in conjunction with the EQ,this control is highly effective.

    9-10. Bass & Treble Controls Interactive EQ controls covering the lower throughto the upper frequencies and offering accuratesound tailoring.

    11. Volume Controls the overall volume level of the boostchannel.

    MASTER SECTION

    12. Master Reverb Gives overall control of the depth of reverb effectfor both channels.

    Effects LoopThe effects loop is used for connecting an externaleffects processor or floor pedal. The effects loopon the Marshall G50RCD is sensitive enough to

    suit the level of either type (processor or floorpedal) to ensure that a perfect match is made.Generally it is advisable to connect time basedeffects such as Chorus or Delay through the looponly and any external distortion type effectsdirectly between the guitar and the combo.

    13. FX SendFor connection to the input of an external effectsprocessor or floor pedal.

    14. FX Return For connection to the output of an external effectsprocessor or floor pedal.

    15. Line Output Filtered output for connection directly to arecording or PA mixing desk.

    16. Footswitch JackSocket for the connection of a single footswitchfor normal/ boost channel switching only (modelPEDL 10008 included).

    17. Power SwitchSwitches the Mains to the unit.

    CHANNEL 1 (Normal)

    1. Input JackConnects the guitar to the amplifier. Werecommend that you always use a high qualityscreened cable to help prevent noise, interferenceand unwanted feedback.

    2. Gain Control Controls the gain level of the normal channel onboth Clean and Crunch selections. In Clean mode,sounds remain clean, even at high gain levels.When switched to Crunch mode the amount ofcrunch increases as you wind the gain up.

    3. Clean/Crunch Rhythm SwitchPush switch to select either clean or crunchsounds on the normal channel (push in forCrunch).

    4-6. Bass, Middle & TrebleFull 3 band EQ for normal channel tonalselections. These controls are effective andinteractive to give you incredible versatility. Try asmany combinations as possible to really get toknow your EQ.

    7. Channel Select Normal to boost channel selector switch. Thisfunction is also footswitchable. Set the switch tothe in position for the footswitch to function.LED’s indicate which mode has been selected.

    CHANNEL 2 (Boost)

    8. Gain ControlControls the gain level of the boost channel. Thiscontrol is effective on either overdrive selection.On OD1, it fattens the bluesy distortion and onOD2 goes from rock overdrive to full metallicthrash as you turn it up.

    9. Overdrive Select (OD1 to OD2)Manually switches from creamy ‘classic’ OD1 toscreaming ‘Hi Gain’ OD2 distortion modes.

    10-12. Bass, Middle & Treble Effective 3 band EQ to shape the tone of alloverdrive selections.

    13. Contour ControlThis sweeping control shifts the mid-band voicingof the boost channel to give amazing versatility toyour overdrive sounds. When used in conjunctionwith the 3 band EQ, this control is devastating!

    14. Volume Control Controlling the overall level of the boost channel,this allows volume balancing between the twochannels.

    MASTER SECTION

    Effects LoopThe effects loop is used for connecting an externaleffects processor or floor pedal. Generally it isadvisable to connect time based effects such asChorus or Delay through the loop only and anyexternal distortion type effects directly betweenthe guitar and the combo.

    15. Effects Send JackFor linking to the input of an external effectsprocessor or floor pedal.

    16. Effects Level Switch Selects the level to match your external effectsunits (0dB for rack units and -20dB for pedals).

    17. Effects Return JackFor connection from the output of an externaleffects processor or floor pedal.

    18. Effects Mix When using the FX Loop on the front panel, theFX Mix allows you to dial in the desired amount ofeffected signal into your overall sound. Turning thecontrol fully clockwise will result in a fully effectedsound, i.e. no dry signal and turning the controlfully anticlockwise will result in a fully dry sound.

    19. Master Reverb Controls the level of reverb effect on all channelselections.

    20. Master Volume Controls the overall volume level of the amp orcombo.

    21. Line Out Jack Filtered low level signal for linking to a recordingor mixing desk.

    22. Footswitch JackFor the connection of a two way footswitch forreverb and channel selection (Marshall footswitchPEDL 10009 included).

    23. Power SwitchSwitches the Mains to the unit.

    2 & 3.The rear panel features two parallel wired socketsfor the connection of loudspeaker systems, thecombined total impedance of which should not beless than 4 Ohms, eg; two 8 Ohms cabinets in parallel.
