About Vancouver:

Vancouver is the largest city in Western Canada, located at the south-western corner of the province of British Columbia. Situated between the North Shore and coastal mountains and the edge of the Pacific Ocean, Vancouver is one of North America's most beautiful cities, and was recently ranked as "The World's Most Desirable Place to Live" in a survey of 127 cities performed. In 2010, the city hosted the world, as the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games came to Vancouver / Whistler-Blackcomb. Vancouver

is a dynamic, multicultural, world city set in a spectacular natural setting surrounded by water and mountains. The vibrant downtown core offers all of the amenities of an international destination. Vancouver's natural surroundings offer limitless opportunities for outdoor pursuits, such as hiking and mountain biking in the spring and summer, and skiing at nearby Whistler-Blackcomb resort in winter and the newly renovated, award-winning Vancouver Convention Centre is a green-designed, state-of-the-art facility on the waterfront in beautiful downtown Vancouver with everything

meeting professionals would want.

The mild climate of the city and close proximity to ocean, mountains, rivers and lakes make the area a popular destination for outdoor recreation. Vancouver has over 1,298 hectares of parks, of which, Stanley Park, at 404 hectares is the largest. The city has several large beaches, many adjacent to one another, extending from the shoreline of Stanley Park around False Creek to the south side of English Bay, The coastline provides for many types of water sport, and the city is a popular destination for boating enthusiasts.

Within a 20-to-30-minute drive from downtown Vancouver are the North Shore Mountains, with three ski areas: Cypress Mountain, Grouse Mountain, and Mount Seymour. Mountain bikers have created world-renowned trails across the North Shore. The Capilano River, Lynn Creek and Seymour River, also on the North Shore, provide opportunities to white water enthusiasts during periods of rain and spring melt, though the canyons of those rivers are more utilized for hiking and swimming than white water.

Star Destinations invites you to explore Vancouver and the province of British Columbia by bringing your professionals here.

Guests make their way through a chilling entrance area across a grand star carpet. There is a cold feeling already as they pass under a stone trellis archway with an icy drape lit with blue up lighters, swish tanks also add to the chill factor.

Upon entering the room guests are surrounded by a spectacular ice cave, frosty looking stalactites hang from the ceiling. Tables are decorated with Frosty ice melt table centres which are lit from below giving off a cool white light and illuminating the tall vase that stands above it. Towards the top of the vase, a giant ice ball slowly melts throughout the evening and drips over icicles which have formed inside the vase. This is beautifully finished off with an ice garland wrapped round the vase.

A giant icy mountain backdrop is on view adding to the freezing cold feel of the evening and snowflake gobos housed within intelligent lights slowly move over the

walls and ceiling, better wrap up warm. In contrast to the cold surroundings flame burners and fiery red bubbling tubes are on display on stage, red up lighters add warmth and further intelligent lights project a warm glow around the room.

The food and beverage will also complement the theme – with the martini ice sculptures and ice bar, and the hot and spicy dishes being served, to the signature drinks being created for your guests this will be a night to remember!

Aerial dancers dressed in exotic red costumes will be suspended from the ceiling entertaining your guests for part of the night and appropriate themed music by Nearly Neil Diamond will finish off the overall package to give you the perfect fire and ice theme.
