interrupted, the molecular seal
provides protection for a period of
time
- The protection from Airrestore
and similar devices is immediatly
lost if the purge gas flow is
interrupted.

Knock Out Drum
- Separates liquid from gas
- Increases flare tip life
- Prevents or reduces smoke because of
reduced liquid in the flame
- Prevents liquids from being discharged to
atmosphere (fire)

Liquid seal
- Commonly incorporated into the flare stack base,
the liquid seal is used to provide positive pressure
on the flare gas relief header and to be a positive
flame arrestor in the event a flashback occurs in
the flare stack.
-The internals are specially designed to ensure a
stready flow of gases to the tip thus increasing the
maximum smokeless capacity of the flare without
supplemental energy.
-The liquid seal internals also decrease the noise
caused by combustion at the flare.
