Deserts cover one fifth of the earth’s land area. The biggestDesert is northern Africa’s Sahara desert. It covers roughly3, 500,00 square miles. There are even deserts that are cold. Some deserts are covered in sand. Deserts can be sandy and rocky. Deserts are located all over the world. A treasure lieshidden under the Sahara desert. Naturally occurring salt inThe soil gets dissolved by rain water and carried in rivers to the ocean.

Our three favorite animals in the desert are camels,jack rabbits, and hawks. Our favorite plants living inthe desert are barrel cactus, organ pipe cactus, and buffalo gourd.

One interaction that happens in the desert is betweenanimals and plants. Animals and plants could not survive without each other. Animals seek food andshelter through desert plants.
