    Pastors Welcome Address

The joy of every man of God is to watch the work of God ourish in His

hands. I say with great joy in my heart, Blessed be the name of the Lord. I

want to thank God for the growth of the Citadel of God Almighty in the

past few years. Let me also thank all the members for their cooperation

with God as He molds and shape us to please Him.

At the inception of the work three years ago, God gave me a specic in-

struction as to what to do for His work to prosper in the Bronx. He told me

to challenge the people to PRAY. He instructed me that If you can PRAY, you will WIN. You

agreed with me, we prayed for 7 months non-stop and the Lord transformed His Church. He

crossed our church over from the wilderness to our Caanan. To God be the glory.

Apart from the instructions God gave me for the Church, in the course of my work in the Bronx,

He said clearly to me If you give God your BEST, you will get His BEST The sanctity of

your spiritual life will determine the height of your achievement. I have imprinted these words

in my heart to guide me as I lead His Church. I want to challenge you to do the same as we take

stock of what the Lord has done in the past year and prepare to launch out to a new year.

Brethren, we are not there yet, God has a greater plan for His church and you are in His plan. I

want to encourage everyone to continue to strive towards excellence in His Kingdom. We have

purposed in our heart to build an ultra-modern, state of the art sanctuary facility with library,

bookstore, gym, COGA Hall, Ofces, food pantry and meeting rooms for Him. God heard us

and He is expecting us to deliver. Your uninching support will make this happen. Let us contin

ue to pray for God to raise up help for His Church in Jesus name. It is my prayer that next years

Anniversary shall be celebrated inside our new state of the art sanctuary in Jesus name.

To our visitors, there is no better place of worship than COGA Cathedral. You only need to

come once to make the decision for yourself. God is in our midst doing awesome wonders. Our

members understand discipleship. They are loving, caring and friendly. At COGA Cathedral,

we promote excellence, praise, prayer, charity and love. Your decision to join us will be the bestdecision youve ever made.

As we celebrate COGA 2010 Anniversary titled The Descent of His Glory, Open up your

heart and let His glory descend into your life. As you do this, your life will never remain the

    same. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

3 KEYS TO A WONDERFUL LIFE

    Evang. Joseph Famuyide

    Minister-in-Charge

Hi, Welcome to COGA Cathedral. As you read or ip through this program,

God wants me to encourage you with this

message titled 3 KEYS TO A WON-

    DERFUL LIFE.

Over 2000 years ago, the world witnessed

the occurrence of an unprecedented event

that has shaped the life of many includ-

ing me. As you read this today over two

billion lives have been turned around by

this CELEBRITY that cannot be matched.

Since the creation of the world, no

celebrity has been able to match

the fame of our LORD JESUS

    CHRIST. The reason is simple;

    Jesus kept His appointment with

    destiny and was gloried.

Brethren, I want to say categorical-

ly to you that you are not a product

of ACCIDENT. You came to being

by a careful PLAN put together by

God. He sent you to this world for

a purpose. When He created you,

his plan for you is to have a won-

derful life. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know

the plans I have for you, declares the

LORD, plans to prosper you and not to

harm you, plans to give you hope and a

    future. NIV.

The plan of God for you is sure. Jesus

completed the work on the CROSS. It is

left for you to make a decision whether or

    not to enjoy it.

I once met a young man who told me he

impregnated two girls at the same time.

Even though Jeremiah 29:11 is true, what

foundation is this man laying for His

future. Once you move to the 11th Com-

mandment Jeremiah 18:12 (I will do as I

please) you forfeit the promise of Jer-

emiah 29:11 because you have channeled

your own course not that of God. You will

only get the promise if you forsake 11th

commandment and get back to God.

Brethren, to live a wonderful life, is not

by WISH. Many of us are full of WISH-

ES. Its by choice. I have come to assist

you in making the right choices. Today,

many people are frustrated. Some feel

    stranded, some are dejected. Hopeless-

ness reign supreme in some life. People

seek help where there is no help. Some

take solace in DRUGS, hoping that will

make them feel good. Some take solacein fornication, some adultery, Some even

take solace in food, Some felt if they

travel the world they will feel good. Oth-

ers take solace in going to parties to feel

good, but at the end they get frustrated as

    they sink further in misery.

Brethren, the GOOD NEWS is that it is

not too late if you are willing to give the

sacrice that is required to be back on the

path to a wonderful life. I am not talking

of being rich. If riches could guarantee

    wonderful life, ANNA NICOLE would

not die of drug. MICHAEL JACKSON

    would not die of drug.

I want to give you the three keys to a

    wonderful life. John 2:1-11

Invite Jesus into your Life: John 2:1-2

There was a young man that was going

to get married in Cana Galilee. He made

the best decision of his life by inviting

Jesus Christ. Are you married or intend-

ing to get married, invite Jesus into your

marriage and you will live happily ever

after. The time came when his abilities

failed, his intelligence failed, his wisdom

failed. His money failed. The Bible says

they ran out of wine. He needed Jesus to

the rescue and Jesus was there for him.

If he was just going to make the decision

to seek Jesus when trouble came at the

wedding, he could have ended up being

disgraced. John 3:3 Most assuredly I

say to you, unless one is born again he

cannot see the kingdom of God. I want

to encourage you brethren to invite Jesus

into your life, invite him into your mar-

riage, and invite Him into your family.Dont wait for crisis to bring you to Him.

This is the mistake the celebrities made,

they trusted in their money to buy them

happiness feeding the esh and leaving

the SPIRIT to malnourish. At the end they

    were disappointed.

    Consult Jesus When in Trouble:

John 2:3 The mother of Jesus did not

hesitate to let Him know they have

no wine. The mother of Jesus at the

wedding in Cana Galilee did not letfamiliarity block the blessing of the

day. Whenever you are in any situation

please feel free to consult Him for help

through prayer. He is readily available

to hear you. Your consultation is effec-

tive if you have Him in your life. Mark

4:38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping

on a cushion. The disciples woke him and

said to him, Teacher, dont you care if

    we drown?He Rescued Them.

Do What Jesus Says: John 2:5 His

mother said to the servants, Whatever

He says to you, do it. It is not enough

for you to consult Him; you must be

willing to do whatever He says. John 6-7.

Sing this song with me : I say YES OH

YES, to you will and to your way. I say

yes o yes, I will trust you and obey, when

you spirit speak to me, with my whole

heart Ill obey and my answer will be

YES OH YES.The Lord will grant you

the Spirit of obedience in Jesus name.

    AMEN.

    Matter?

A welcoming smile, gentle laughter and a warm hand-

shake makes an impression anytime. At COGA, you

will surely feel at home the minute you walk through

the doors of the Church due to the presence of our

    ultimate warm and friendly

greeters at the door. Now thats

    a one-on-one treatment you

cant resist. Dont you just feel

    special already, reading about

this? We look forward to see-ing you.

questions and get quick x answer. I tell you this, at

COGA we have time for you, so you dont feel left out

with questions and concerns during Church service.

Our ushers are ever friendly and ready to give you

directions and provide answers to your questions and

concerns. When you are here at COGA, youre a part

    of our COGA family.

COGA Prayer Team: The Master Key That Unlocks

    Every Door

The locksmith has got nothing on this. The locksmith

may claim to make or duplicate

all kinds of keys but the one

and only powerful key that can

unlock your pains, sorrows, troubles and release your bless-

    ings is prayers. The members

of the prayer team at COGA are always praying and

    standing in the gap.

COGA Building Team: Operations Is Not Optional

The building team at COGA is there to ensure the

smooth operations of the physical building. When it

snows, the ice on sidewalk got to go. When its cold

outside, the team makes sure theres enough heat in

the building. When its hot outside like an oven bak-ing a turkey dinner on any

    given Thanksgiving, the

    team makes sure its cool

    inside the building. The

house of the Lord needs to

    look good always and this

team is there at all seasons.

The team also handles food delivery for our commu-

    nity outreach food pantry program.

    COGA Welfare: A Helping Hand

The well being of a per-

    son is very important. The

power of love is best shown

    when things are down and

    not only when its sweet.

    Knowing theres help when

you need it the most is just priceless. The welfare

team at COGA makes sure that members needs are

met. Whenever any member is going through hard

times and in need of support, the welfare team makes

sure that all is well and the area of need is taken care

    of.

COGA Follow-Up: You Dont Call, You Dont Write

    Any More?

    Havent we heard that before?

(You dont call or write any-

more) People expect a call, a

letter, e-mail or a text but thenwait endlessly and anticipat-

ing. Just be a tad honest with

    yourself, weve all been there

before, right? At COGA, we take our rst time visitors

seriously; the follow up team is there to call you and

to makes sure theres an open line of communication.

You need to come experience this door buster kind (a

deal you cant resist) of Gods love at COGA.

COGA TitbitsCOGA MEN: Rocking Solid in Christ

Oops!...have you heard? Hello, dont tell me youdidnt get the memo. Anyway let me give you the gist

just in case you missed it. There were some COGA

men in black suits with red ties and sparkling white

shirts, singing Oh Sinner Man. In fact when I heard

them singing, I was almost tempted to change my

career and become a talent manager. They were rock-

ing it solid in our Lord Jesus Christ during the 2010

COGA Mens Anniversary. The event was power

packed with a theme titled Deliberate Leadership.

There were messages that focused on attributes of agood leader, which included ability

    to follow instructions, discerning of

    spirits, seeing possibilities, be will-

ing to serve, and also leave a legacy

    for others to follow.

COGA WOMEN: The Hand That Rocks the Cradle

Can these COGA women praise God or what? I can

assure you that they surely know how to call upon the

Lord in praise, worship and thanksgiving. The same

hands that rock the cradle, wipes the wet nose, changediapers, get dinner ready and help with homework,

surely know its on full throttle when its time for

God. The 2010 COGA Womens Anniversary titled

I Have Much to Offer was outstanding. The mes-

sage was letting women know they should not un-

derestimate or belittle themselves because God never

underestimates them. The focus was also on women

to pursue excellence and offer more of their talents

    to family, friend, Church, com-

munity, and the nation. It further

    mentioned that women should

strive to excel at being strong,

    wise, reliable, hardworking,

    trustworthy, industrious, plan-

    ning ahead, and cooking, clean-

    ing and beautiful character.

COGA YOUTH: They are so Hot for Christ

Did somebody call 911? Anybody, somebody please

because the youth at COGA is hot for Christ and this

deserves a hot shout out and not enough water from

those re trucks can quench the re for Christ in theseyoung ones. Hey!...the devil is a loser because the

Youth locked him out of their lives so that the Lord

Jesus Christ can be the one and only

landlord of their hearts for life. Hal-

    leluyah! The years Youth Anniver-

sary was awesome. The theme was

    titled Mission to Accomplish

COGA KIDS: Are You Smarter Than These Pre-K-6-

    th Graders?

The COGA kids are just amazing. Seeing the little

ones with bottles and paciers dancing and praising

God, thats a Kodak moment. Then talk about the rst

    through sixth graders, they are

    so smart and blessed because

they have a double advantage of

knowing God at this early stage

in life. No money can buy that

    kind of opportunity. This years

Anniversary was themed Feedon His Faithfulness. Kids and parents were encour-

aged to have faith and trust in God. They were assured

that God is a faithful God, no matter what they might

    be going through in life.

COGA VOICES: Their Vocal Cords Can Raise a

    Roof

Theres power, joy and testimonies in songs. When

youre down and out, singing songs of praise and

worship is soothing to the mind,

    soul and body. Every Sunday,

    this group faithfully brings

before the Lord our God, of-

    ferings of praise and worship.

The power of music is so much

that a whole book of Psalms is

    dedicated to it. Theres healing,

anointing, blessings, favor, and miracles in praise and

    worship.

COGA COUPLES FELLOWSHIP: There Goes the

    Odd Math of 1+1=1

The Bible says and the two shall become one. When

a man and woman come together and get married,

they become one in their spirit, soul and body. What

God has joined together let no money, career, family, friends, social networking, all about me (me myself

and I) put no asunder. The society we live in today with

almost mind bending images on multimedia outlets,

human nature and the desire for stability and secured

means of survival can take its toll on any marriage if

theres no balance. The couples fellowship is a refresh-

ing experience that helps couples to unwind and dine

and learn on improving and making their marriages

better. Who would have thought that a Church will

organize a social event like this? Well, this is a perfect

opportunity for any married people to visit COGA andexperience this powerful bi-monthly event.

COGA Singles Fellowship: God Will Make A Way

At COGA, the singles are not left out of the bigger pic-

ture. Its the will of God for single people to get mar-

ried. Although, human timing and desire for a marriage

partner may sometimes be different from Gods timing.

It always good to have faith and trust God for His tim-

ing, so that way the single person can get married to

the right person. Even if theres a delay, it is better to

wait on God and save lots of time and peace of mind.

God forbid, if the timing is wrong that can also means

wrong partner and its really not worth the pain and

agony, so wait on the Lord. At COGA choosing based

on the WILL of GOD becomes easier.

    COGA CHARITY: Giving Is Fullling

The need to be your brothers keeper is very important.

Giving can never be over rated. Today, people enjoy

freedom, privileges and got breaks in

life due to an act of kindness either

from a total stranger, community or

from friends and family. At COGAwe care about the needs of our mem-

bers and the community. We have an

    outreach program that involves food

pantry, counseling and mentoring. Our Hunger Relief

Program fed 19,000 mouths in 2008 and still growing.

COGA Dream (Building): We Shall Not Build In Vain

Theres a need to expand the house of God, so that it

will accommodate more people. This ultimate dream

house of the Lord is going to be a cathedral with a stateof the art Sanctuary to worship and serve the Lord, a li-

brary, gymnasium, banquet hall, counseling rooms and

administrative ofces. At COGA Cathedral, your future

is secured in His hands. We believe; If you can PRAY,

    you will WIN.

COGA Live Broadcast: The Streams Are Alive

The name of the Lord must be praised, adored and de-

clared even in multimedia outlet. In the Bible, prophets

traveled long distance by foot and camel to bring the

word of God to people. Thank God for modern day

technology, His words can be preached to thousands

of people through live broadcast. The COGA media

department has become one of our many ways we are

reaching out to people letting them know that Jesus

Christ is Lord. Join us live today and every Sunday at

    To God Be the Glory

    Hymn #93By: Fanny Crosby,

To God be the glory, great things He has

done;So loved He the world that He gave us His

    Son,

Who yielded His life an atonement for sin,

And opened the life gate that all may go in.

    Refrain

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,

Let the earth hear His voice!

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,

    Let the people rejoice!

O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,

And give Him the glory, great things He has

    done.

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,

To every believer the promise of God;The vilest offender who truly believes,

That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

    Refrain

Great things He has taught us, great things

    He has done,

And great our rejoicing through Jesus the

    Son;

But purer, and higher, and greater will be

Our wonder, our transport, when Jesus we

    see.
