Elaine Sanders-Bush Elaine Sanders-Bush Symposium endowedSymposium endowed

Elaine has served as a leader, mentor and role model for her many trainees, her colleagues, and the larger neuroscience community.

Elaine has contributed to the success of everyone around her; scores of graduate students and postdoctoral acknowledge Elaine as critical for their success.

Her role as the Founding Director of the Vanderbilt Brain Institute made possible an academic home for the first non-departmental PhD training program, in neuroscience, at Vanderbilt, along both integrative and molecular tracks.

We celebrated her 48-year career at Vanderbilt at an Inaugural Symposium last month.

We are currently raising an Elaine Sanders-Bush Fund in her honor.
