LAYER CREATOR AUTOMATIONOnline product configurators are crucial to consumer satisfaction, and ultimately, sales activations. 2D is the new medium to boost the top-line and enhance customer engagements. The new Layer Creator automatically creates product layers for use in online web configurators, including any available product variant produced with a 150% Master Model. Its out-of-the-box functionality comes with advanced authoring capabilities like Layer Preview, Layer Grouping, and Mask Layers.

STELLAR ENHANCEMENTS Improve visual quality and reduce render times

• Displacement Mapping: gain a greater sense of depth and detail on surfaces

• 3DEXPERIENCE PBR materials: support high-quality car paints with and without flakes for interactive and offline rendering

• Render Region: pre-render specific areas of an image for detailed material and light adjustments

• Quality-Based Sampling: quickly define the target render quality of an image instead of samples per pixel.

ADVANCED PASSES Reduce turn-around times by previewing render passes interactively before the final output for primetime.

INTEGRATED SUBSTANCE DESIGNER MATERIALS Import, then apply and edit materials created in Adobe® Substance Designer to models Tweak any Substance materials used on the models and view changes in real-time.

Change pattern sizes, adjust base colors, transform and update textures. Switch Substance materials directly to 3DEXPERIENCE PBR materials without losing any information. Accurate previews inform creative decisions. The DELTAGEN viewport displays Substance materials as they appear in other supported engines.

TIME SAVER “SEARCH AND RELPLACE” TOOL ‘Search and replace’ any element with an industry first; this powerful feature dramatically reduces the time needed to make changes to complex models and scenes. When preparing complex models or defining the creation of layers for rendering, use ‘search and replace’ to correct, update, enrich, and change the properties of model and scene components.
