The second annual DAR Crab Feed
was held Saturday, February 1, and it was
a huge success!Attendees gathered at the Shadow Lakes Golf Club before sunset.
Starting with delicious appetizers, followed by fresh salad and bread,
the marinated crab arrived, but not before the scrumptious pasta
found its way to our tables. The soft drinks, beer and wine (both colors)
were readily available, as everything was included in the price.
Music throughout the evening provided the crowd with some great
sounds, and when everyone completed their meals, our DJ ramped
up the dance music for all. All we can say is, we’ve never seen so
much fun on the dance floor! If the music would have kept going,
they would have danced all night.
A special thank you to the
committee, comprised of Scott
MacIntyre, James Britto, and
members of the DAR staff. Our
kitchen crew did a fantastic job
preparing and presenting the
crab, even enduring a kitchen
that didn’t have all the essential
appliances. We must say ‘Thank
You’ to Pittsburg Mayor Sal
Evola, Gwynne Davi, and her sister; Sal’s father, Nolan Evola, and
Paul Flores. A marvelous job! Our servers were Tonia Nielsen’s son
Adam and niece Ashley, and DAR staff Jean’s daughter Ashley.
Scott & Barbara MacIntyre
Alex, Laurie, and Ralph Garrow
Mona Phillips got everyone on their feet.
