If you’re feeling a little slow this month, you’re not alone. August is traditionally the second slowest month for real estate transactions. A combination of buyers and sellers getting the kids settled for theupcoming school year and heading out for a week or two of vacation puts a little constraint on the market.

But this is not a time to let up. It’s a great time to catch your breath and go thru your budget, be sure you’re on target.for monies spent and to be spent.

It’s also a good time to check your goals; Are you on schedule to finish the year according to plan? September will be here fast, and with it the marketshould pick back up again. Be sure you have made your adjustments to finish the last trimester strong.

On the other hand, if you’re not a little slow this month, count your blessings, ride that wave of momentum, and don’t let that little blip throw you off course. Get ahead of your game plan and finish up

strong for 2013. It has certainly been a comeback year.

I would like to welcome John Canning to the Delta Association of Realtors

Board of Directors for 2014.

This is John’s first time on the Board, and I, as well as the other Board members, truly look forward to hisinput & energy. In addition, I welcome back Cecily Tippery and Jodi Marfia as

directors, James Britto as President-Elect, and Errol Mooney as our 2014 Treasurer.

I encourage any and all of our members to getinvolved with the Association. We can always use fresh ideas, new energy, and great input.

We have a talent pull of over 700 people, and the knowledge and insight out there has to be phenomenal. This isyour livelihood. Have some input as to what direction you want to see things move. We welcome your input.
