Delta Alpha Alumnae Newsletter April 2013

Area  Wide  Training:  We  traveled  to  Marquette  University  for  the  day  to  

learn  about  all  things  AXiD.    Twelve  of  our  members  got  to  meet  

other  sisters  from  all  over  the  Midwest  and  talk  

about  the  best  strategies  for  each  position.      It  was  a  great  day  and  we  learned  a  lot  about  what  we  can  do  to  make  our  chapter  the  

best  it  can  be.      

Big    Little  Reveal  

Do  you  remember  when  you  got  your  Big?    These  girls  were  so  excited  to  burst  into  the  room  and  meet  their  bigs.    It  was  such  a  

memorable  moment  for  our  whole  chapter,  not  only  to  remember  what  it  was  like  to  receive  a  big,  but  also  to  welcome  

the  new  members  into  their  families.

Inspiration Week

Jeopardy  History  Night   Light  It  Up  Blue  

Look  we’re  growing!    We  initiated  6  beautiful  women  into  our  chapter  on  Friday,  April  5th.    We  could  not  be  more  excited  to  welcome  these  fabulous  ladies  into  our  chapter  and  to  see  our  

sisterhood  expand  with  quality  women.  

AmaXing Challenge:

Our  3rd  Annual  AmaXing  Challenge  was  a  real  success.    We  had  40  people  in  attendance  and  we  raised  over  $500.    

Afterwards,  we  had  the  Jade  Café  event,  which  helped  us  to  reach  our  goal  of  $2000.00.    We  want  to  thank  all  the  

alumnae  that  came  to  support  us  and  that  helped  us  reach  our  fundraising  goal,  we  really  appreciate  it.              

Spring Formal The  Spring  Formal  on  April  13th  was  an  absolute  blast.    It  was  held  at  the  Radisson  Hotel.    We  danced  the  night  away  with  our  friends,  our  dates,  our  alumnae,  and  our  sisters.    It  was  great  having  everyone  together  and  we  could  not  have  asked  for  a  better  night.    Our  sisters  were  so  honored  to  be  receiving  awards  and  it  was  great  to  see  different  sisters  talent’s  being  recognized.
