• Delaware 87ers – Professional D-League Team• Official affiliate of Philadelphia 76ers (NBA).• Home court: Bob Carpenter Center (UD)• Last season was inaugural season• Formally known as Utah Flash (Utah Jazz affiliate)

• Two internship Sites:• 87ers office: Wilmington• Bob Carpenter Center

Duties and Responsibilities

• Official Title: Operations and Marketing Intern• Office Hours: Mon., Wed., Fri.

9am-5pm• Duties: Updating sales leads

databases, creating new spreadsheets, making group calls, picking up promotional materials and special uniforms, etc.

• Game Days• Duties: Set up and break down of

facility. In game jobs.

Being Caesar the Fox (Team Mascot)

• Each intern was required to be Caesar at least 5 times at community events.• Based on a point system. 2 points each

event, needed 10 total.

• Community Events Included:• YMCA’s, Pep Rally’s, Trampoline Parks,

Catered Business Dinners, etc.

• Still mainly focused on working for a community sport organization or nonprofit.• Ex: Boys and Girls Club, RBI, etc.

• Before this internship did not have much interest in professional sports• Now may think about going in that

direction
