Within the Interior Architecture program there are three groups of people who need to know about your internship: your immediate colleagues, (the students in the Senior class), those students who are looking to undertake their own internships, (the students in the Junior class), and the faculty. This course, ART 3633, exists because the Interior Architecture program faculty hold this to be a fundamental truth. The presentation of your professional internship will occur in two (2) formats: 1. A visual and oral presentation in Grover Center W 330.

Internship Presentation Your professional internship experience is important!

Sharing where you were, what you did, what you learned, who you worked with, and how you felt about it all is important.

Within the Interior Architecture program there are three groups of people who need to know about your internship: your immediate colleagues, (the students in the Senior class), those students who are looking to undertake their own internships, (the students in the Junior class), and the faculty.

This course, ART 3633, exists because the Interior Architecture program faculty hold this to be a fundamental truth.

The presentation of your professional internship will occur in two (2) formats:

1. A visual and oral presentation in Grover Center W 330.

This presentation should be approximately twenty (20) minutes in length, and should include the following:

• Visual images of the internship site (workplace/office) both interior and exterior. • Visual images of the locale; city area, town, street, et cetera. • A floor plan of the office interior. • Learning objectives or goals and how you met them. • Examples of work completed (drawings, materials selections, sketches, boards,

documents, etc.) • Organizational chart of the firm showing its firm type (corporation, partnership) and its

components (departments, studios, etc.), firm’s mission, firm history • Additional photos, text and diagrams that would help a viewer understand the scope

and quality of your experience

The schedule of presentations will be developed in class.

2. A printed (paper or other flat media) poster. The poster may be either one (1) 24" x 36" sheet, or a minimum of six (6) 11" x 17" sheets. The content of the poster should include and address the following:

• Intern name and the name of the firm and location (address) • Learning objectives or goals and how you met them • Examples of work completed (drawings, materials selections, sketches, documents,

etc.) • Visual images of the internship site (workplace/office) both interior and exterior. • Visual images of the locale; city area, town, street, et cetera. • A floor plan of the office interior. • Organizational chart of the firm showing its firm type (corporation, partnership) and its

components (departments, studios, etc.), firm’s mission, firm history • Additional photos, text and diagrams that would help the instructor understand the
