because hi s father is a Methodist preacher whow as vioiently opposed to Newell s baptismsaying h is i nf an t sprinkling was e n ou gh a nd bygoing further, Newell would be going agains thi s family s beliefs. Knowing this decisionwould cause problems, Newell d ec id ed t o o b eythe Lord and f ol lo w H im in baptism. We loveNewell and are so proud of him.

This is a special prayer request letter to you. T he go ve mm en tZimbabwe has been turning down almost all work pemnits of missionaries(from ail denominations) during the last few months. We don't know treasons but the decisions have come from the higher authorities. Mypermit

was handed in for an extension two weeks ago and we are waiting for a replyPlease pray that if it is God s will that 1 continue to wor here that it w ll

renewed. If they refuse 1 can appeal one time but canno t leave the countr(which means I may not be able to c om e h om e for Robin's wedding thissummer) .

We beg you to pray with us for my work permit as well as others. Also prafor a change in the new policies we see coming in the govemment

The Lord is rea lly working at the church hereat Greencroft . We are g rowing both spirituallyand numerically. Yesterday we had morep eo pl e t ha n s ea ts a t our worship service.

One big obstacle to growth is our lack of achurch building. We continue to m ee t in Mo ma n d D a d s h ou s e. We havejunior worship early

a n d h av e t o s e n d a ll t h e k i d s h o m e b e c a u s e w ecan t fit everyone in at once. It is a nice problemto have bu t ca n get very frustrating at times. Weare in the process o f b uild in g a t emporarybuilding where we can meet until w e c an build achurch building. This is just a fini sh ing off of abuilding pa rtia lly built on the property.Hopefully by th e en d of next year we will haveour church building. P le ase pr ay that CityCouncil will approve th e plans an d that th efinances will be provided. Building c ost s a rev ery h igh h er e.
