    Sub-Learning component: Electronics

    I. Objectives

    At the end of the lesson the students will be able to;

    a. Determine the resistance color code chart

    b. Calculate the equivalent value of each color code.

    c. Value the importance of understanding the resistor color code.

    II. Contents

Topic Perform Mensuration and Calculation/ Ohmmeter Scale Reading

Materials: printed pictures, actual resistor, chart

Reference: K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum TLE Learning Module Consumer

    Electronics Servicing

    III. Procedure

    A. Preparatory Activities

    1.Daily Routine

    Prayer

    Greetings

    Checking of Attendance

    Cleanliness of the Classroom

    2. Review

The teacher will ask the students to identify the types of resistors presented in the board.

  • Presentation of the Lesson:

    1. The teacher will discuss the resistor color code chart.

    2. The teacher will give examples of finding the equivalent of the following resistor.

    a. red-red-red-gold b. brown-yellow-red-gold c. brown-black-black-red

    2200 5% 1400 5% 10 2%

  • C. Closing Activities

Generalization Resistor color code chart is a big help to us, for it serves as a guide to help in

estimating the resistance value of an electronic component such resistor.

Application The students will ask to find the correct value of the resistors that will be posted on

    the board.

Valuing Understanding the Resistor color code will help the students to get familiar with the

    electronic components and its properties.

    IV. Evaluation:

    QUIZ

Find the exact value of the following resistor color code:

    1. red-red-black-gold

    2. brown-brown-brown-silver

    3. yellow-blue-red-gold

    4. red-white-black-silver

    5. green-blue-white-black-silver

    V. Assignment

    1. the parts of a multitester/ VOM- Volt-ohm-milliammeter.

    2. Paste a picture of multitester on your TLE notebook.
