June 2015 Oh, the Places Theyll Go!
We cannot believe that it is already June! Summer is approaching
quickly and we have many fun things
planned for Summer Camp. Registration is going on now spaces are
limited for Summer Camp, so please complete the Summer registration
form and hand into the office to secure your childs space. With the
warmer weather, please ensure that you have completed a Sunscreen
permission form. The teaching
staff cannot apply sunscreen without the appropriate form
completed and signed by a parent. It is also a
good time to clean out your childs cubby and change out cold
weather items for more seasonally appropriate clothing. We ask that
you keep at least two complete changes of clothes in your childs
cubby at all times. June is also the time for moving up, moving on
and looking to the future! We will be
celebrating our fabulous class of Pre-K graduates, who will be
moving on to Kindergarten next school
year. Some of our graduates have been with us since they were
Infants! It has been a wonderful journey,
watching them grow and develop into smart, caring, funny
preschoolers. They will be missed next year but
we know they will continue to succeed and do great things in
Kindergarten.

Pre K Graduation
The Pre K Graduation ceremony
will be held on Thursday, June
25th at 6:30pm. All parents of
Pre K students are asked to pick
them up no later than 5PM so
the staff can prepare for the
ceremony and the children can
have dinner, get dressed, etc.
Please have the children back by
6:15pm so they can line up and
we can start the ceremony on
time. Each family will receive 5
tickets to the ceremony. We
cannot offer more tickets due to
the size and capacity of the
room.
On Friday, June 19th, we will be having a special breakfast
for all of the great Dads at
Ivy League! All Dads and
father-figures are invited to
stop in at drop-off time to
take some delicious breakfast
to go. Thank you for all that
you do!

Star Student of the Month Preschool Two
Emmanuel Cyrille Manny is our star student because he is has
grown so much this school year. He is very caring and often helps
out his fellow classmates. He is a leader in our class and is a
good role model for following our classroom rules. He is very
cooperative and gets along well with everyone. We look forward to
seeing Manny each day and he is a pleasure to have in our class!

Our June Teacher of the Month is Ms. Christina Oliver. Ms.
Christina is our jack-of-all-trades! She assists in whatever
classroom we need her. She is one of our Infant classroom staff
members but is often seen helping in other classes. Christina is a
versatile, adaptable teacher she works well with all of the
children. Christina really cares about Ivy League and often tries
to help solve problems and helps us out with special events. She
often assists the teachers with getting needed supplies and
ensuring everyone has what they need. We appreciate all of her
hard
work!
Health Corner With the warm months here, we will be adding some
seasonal items to our menu. We strive to serve as much fresh fruit
and vegetables as possible and will be including watermelon,
cantaloupe, honeydew melon, as well as a cucumber/tomato salad as a
vegetable option. Our cook will also be making more cold pasta
salads that will include turkey or
chicken.
