Introduction: (1-5): This booklet and the presentation: “Being-God! - A Dharmic path to Human potential”, are designed for Hindu youth. This is a quick, scientific, practical, graphic guide to the path of Inner strength and ‘GOD’, as prescribed in Hindu dharma. Here, “GOD” is the miraculous, multi-dimensional consciousness, accessed though the path of universal love. It is an evolutionary path from non-awareness to relative awareness, to universal awareness. This booklet is a companion guide to the videos on the website: optimizinglife.org.

Anyone can be ‘momentarily happy’ even with drugs and crime. However, in order to attain long-lasting, stable happiness with awareness, we need a macro perspective of unselfishness, courage and love to include all of our environment as a part of our own life. The spontaneous effect of this transition from relative to absolute love is: reduction of brain-mind noise, which leads to stability and clarity of thought, courage, self-confidence, love, health, etc, that originate from our ‘Inner Strength in deeper consciousness’. This is the Dharmic path through Artha and Kama to Moksha (‘Being God’), as discussed in Hindu Scriptures.

This booklet is a record of my search for my ‘Inner God’ in my own consciousness. The research started in 1990, with robotics/artificial intelligence, followed by psychology, philosophy, religion and spirituality. I have tried to present the traditional spiritual concepts in the Universal philosophy of Advita Vedanta, in the language of science, to explain the limitless, universal nature of love and our own multi-dimensional field of consciousness, as it relates to all of creation and I also discuss the threat of selfish, narrow perspective that materialism and exclusive, disrespectful, violent religions and institutions impose on us, as they disrupt peace on earth and the very survival of our environment and mother nature.

Therefore, an attempt has been made here, to be truthful and not necessarily, politically correct.

There are different definitions of God: Angry God, Vengeful God, Fearful God, etc. In Hindu Dharma-tradition, God is the bliss of our own multi-dimensional consciousness, experienced as all-inclusive, absolute love and Inner strength. The path to this God includes all the good, tolerant human qualities. The path of dharma is to manage the pleasures of the body and the excitement of the ego, to reach the blissful happiness of the self/soul or God. In this presentation, we investigate these and other sources of happiness such as: contentment, pride, power, wealth, health, success, sex, fame etc to rationally determine a simple practical formula to access all these sources of happiness. For a presentation on this subject, followed by a discussion, please send an email to:

I hope the booklets and the videos in the website : will help us open our minds in Love for all of creation, to live a harmonious, happy, peaceful and creative life. It is also my hope that ALL will unite in defending this 12000 year old, unique, all-inclusive, Advita philosophy and culture of universal love in Hinduism, for the brotherhood and survival of our precious world

In this discussion, it is assumed that ALL humans are in transition, looking for love, peace and happiness in (or as) God and ALL have equal potential to be ‘GOD’. The violence in this world is because of ignorance and intolerance of individual egos and egos of leaders of exclusive religions.

CONTENTS:

Inner Strength and the science of Being God ! (6-18): To experience life completely, confidently and successfully in all its diverse creativity, we need an inner strength to participate in life with a macro vision, instead of micro ego-centered view. Anything less than this macro objectivity, makes us unduly dependent on uncontrollable variables and, unhappy in life. To develop a macro view of life is to understand Nature intellectually and experience it intuitively. Rationality and science can help us understand our multi-dimensional creation from our physical dimension as a reasonable probability based on pattern recognition, instead of just an emotional personal opinion of an experience. Absolute love and courage gives us the presence of mind and an awareness to experience our higher consciousness as a multi-dimensional universe.

Defending Dharma (34-40): In Dharma tradition, there is no Devil or fear of god. Love is god and the cause of evil is ignorance that is cured through love and knowledge. The Dharmic path is an evolution in all aspects of nature, from limited awareness (tamas) to, selfish awareness (rajas) and then on to, unselfish awareness (satva). This is an observable fact of nature. History also tells us that some intolerant religions cannot live in harmony with the diversity in nature. As the oldest and the most peaceful surviving culture in the world, Hinduism is under attack by these aggressive religions. Educating the world regarding peaceful coexistence with diversity in creation, has been the tradition of Hinduism for millennia. This is now the responsibility of youth as Intellectual Kshatriyas, for the survival of Hinduism and the world.

Dharma as an application of Science of consciousness (19-25):

The goal of Dharma is to understand our own life and consciousness as an integral part of our environment. Once we understand layers of our own consciousness as it relates to our environment, we optimize our dharmic life through presence of mind and through both intuitive and conscious pattern recognition. This practice starts with a dharma mantra, since dharma mantra and not just rationality, is the firewall of conscious mind for random thoughts. Collective and individual rituals are the anti-virus of the subconscious and the collective consciousness. A Moksha mantra can connect us to a higher, common- consciousness through absolute love. Karma-yoga is a way of life that re-programs our body-brain-mind to implement dharma-mantra as an unselfish philosophy of life, that includes personal, local, national, global and universal responsibilities.

Dharma and the Modern world (26-33). The modern world culture is in evolution. At present the focus is on short term selfish material happiness at the expense of peaceful coexistence and the environment. Men are trying to come out of caves but they are still fighting ! Environment and Dharma are under the threat of violent narrow minded religions and cultures, that compete for natural resources, wealth and power, in self-interest. Dharma is based on the concept of life as creative and collective expression of universal consciousness as love, compassion and cooperation. This has been practiced as a culture for several thousands of years successfully in India. Most non-dharmic religions fail to understand the concept of life as a network of collective consciousness. This idea is now accepted by western science with theories and experiments. However, the religions of the west are far behind their science as they are bound in blind faith to intolerant rules out of ‘fear of god’ as a cult, instead of love of god to accommodate diversity in nature. Unfortunately, their fear of god is expressed as devil, anger and intolerance. A label that is freely used for all diversity. In a short span of 500 years, this anger has resulted in world wide unrest, colonialism, destruction of environment and peace. They look at love and peaceful-ness as a weakness and even mediocrity and they have historically destroyed peaceful cultures, religions and superior civilizations, as ‘a commandment’ from their violent, intolerant ‘god’. They continue to do so even today (ref: joshuaproject.net)

This presentation reintroduces the vision and message of Swami Vivekananda and Vedanta in the modern context. When Swami Vivekananda stated that we need to wakeup Hinduism/Bharat in order to wakeup the world, he spoke from the point of view of Dharma. A concept that is absent in the modern world except for the Dharmic traditions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism and a few other nature oriented religions. Dharma is the nature of both animate and in animate things from the macro view of the Universe. For example the dharma of inanimate things is the science of physics. The dharma of life includes dynamic consciousness, sense perception and thought processes. These ‘nature of things’ appear to be different at the surface but they have common patterns and they are made of a common bond of multi-layered consciousness. This is explained from the elemental perspective by both quantum mechanics and string theory. From dharmic perspective, all things, including matter, dark-matter, energy, dark-energy, space-time, thoughts and emotions are made of consciousness only, and therefore they can be created by thoughts, if we can access other dimensions of consciousness. These are natural processes that look like miracles from other dimensions just as many of our modern technology would look like miracles only a 100 years ago.

The medium of these layers of consciousness has been discovered by Hindu yogis to be ‘absolute’ or ‘still’ consciousness (Nirguna brahman) and it can be experienced as absolute love (universal god). In Dhramic philosophy, ‘absolute love’ is the

energy/force or Shakti behind this multi-layered creation, just as relative love is the force of creativity in this physical dimension. This is the binding force of love of creation and sustenance in the physical dimension as experienced by animate life. This love is also the origin of systemic and integral unity in creation.

Since the foundation of individual identity is relative consciousness, it can be a path to non-relative or absolute or universal consciousness or ‘God’. Through this personal experience of love in life, we understand creation, nature and ourselves from a macro perspective. This is the ultimate source of Inner strength or Being ‘God’. In this presentation we discuss inner strength or the process of ‘man-making’ as Swami Vivekananda called it. Swami Vivekananda was a rare sanyasi who promoted spirituality through love and selfless service for sanyasis instead of the usual complete renunciation of the ‘miserable world’. This is a much needed awareness in India today because of many destructive forces we see around us in the form of 1. Lack of Hindu education, 2 Anti-Hindu Dharma media, 3.Corrupt Politicians 4. Predatory/ Exclusive religions and 5. Breaking India / The Joshua project.

Inner Strength as spirituality or science of consciousness, has been the subject of research in Hinduism for thousands of years with recorded history in scriptures. We have been the experts in this field of spirituality for millennia. If we ignore this opportunity to teach this dharma of love, we will have nothing unique to offer to this world in exchange for what we receive.

This is a partial reference list of books and authors I have referred to, during my research. The List includes Hindu spiritualists and western scientists. While the modern scientific perspective gives an analytical and mechanistic overview, the Hindu perspective is based on analytical, systemic, direct, and repeatable experience of a multi layered, quantum reality which is beyond the current evolutionary state of our “acceptable science”. Many of these analytical skills in physics and meta physics have been lost because of foreign invasions. In recent years, the western scientists have done a detailed, rational analysis of some metaphysical experiences. However they lack an universal philosophical foundation such as Vedanta to integrate these experiences into universal truth. Such integration is the purpose of this presentation and hopefully, the future task of all Hindu students of Vedanta, in the tradition of Hinduism.

The criteria for my research is science and rationality. Since science has succeeded in minimizing emotional distortions in data analysis, it has been more successful in explaining, generalizing and even formulating much of the experiences in life in this physical dimension better than most religions have been able to do. Because of this, science has become the most trusted global, and in some aspects, an universal philosophy of the physical world. When we come to animate life and consciousness, science as medicine, psychology

and para-psychology are in the process of slow evolution and discovery. This limitation is primarily due to our in ability to explain the multi-layered nature of consciousness and love in life, which is mostly beyond the physical dimension of time-space. In some experiments, Quantum mechanics has been an ‘eye-opener’ to other non-local dimensions in physics and meta physics.

The above reference list can be used for further research. A web search will take us to other similar sources of information for verification. The authors referred to in parenthesis in this presentation are specially relevant to our discussion and they can be a starting point for further research. Books by Dr: Amit Goswami and Mr. Michael Talbot discuss the quantum aspect of meta-physical dimension, as an integration of science and consciousness. They agree with the advita vedantic definition of the universe as a multi-dimensional holographic system. Books by Mr . Rajiv Malhotra Dr: Subhash Kak discuss Hinduism from a Historical and modern perspective. Books like “Zen in the art of Archery” by Eugen Herrigel, are a discussion of accessing super human “inner strength” through self-effort. There are also rare but repeatable, paranormal, personal experiences recorded on the “youtube” that shed light on the nature of consciousness. Particularly, when viewed from the perspective of quantum mechanics.

In my personal life, I encountered many expected and unexpected challenges, as I traveled around the world and lived in several cultural systems. Some of my challenges required inner strength and qualities unknown to me. They required a detailed search in external and internal sources. I have listed above some of the basic, general questions I encountered that required immediate answers for my survival and happiness. Most of these appear to be common questions. These can be our questions for discussion to test the validity of this presentation. If the answers to these question come from one and the same source then, they will have universal truth and no contradictions. This source of one truth is the also the source of our inner strength.

Having rejected Hinduism as an out-dated philosophy in my youthful ignorance, I searched for answers to these questions from a rational and universal perspective in other religions and philosophies. I finally settled for experimental science as the most reliable, repeatable and non-local philosophy and a standard for comparison. After, 25 years of research, I found that as science evolved in the last 100 years, it agreed with the Hindu advita philosophy more and more unlike other religions, thereby giving credibility to Hinduism as the most rational, scientific, practical and universal philosophy of creation and life. Most

of the questions listed here have been answered from the point of view of universal advaita philosophy of Hinduism.

In the absence of a universal philosophy, belief systems are personal. When organized as a blind faith based religion, usually with a history centric personality cult, they become an emotional weapon to create wars, as in the last 2000 years. These religions have killed or maimed their own scientist and saints for being truthful. Religions have used fear, anger and hatred to create local exclusive rules. These exclusive rules, with no universal philosophy of brotherhood have made some local cults wealthy and powerful religions, as they destroyed other peaceful cultures and religions. However, they fail to be an evolving philosophy of life that includes all of nature or creation. Unlike the 12000 year old Hinduism, they lack the support of nature and universal laws since they are local, history centric and inflexible. Historically, they even thrive for a short time by force and violence but fail to survive for a long time because of misplaced, or unnatural values they impose on nature and themselves. In the long-run, their exclusivity brings unhappiness to themselves, their followers and their environment because of their selfishness and disconnection from the natural, universal force of love and their disrespect for the diversity in creation, that sustains this universe.

The above list summarizes my evolution during my search for inner strength. Based on my spiritual practices and a crash course in Hindu scriptures and universal philosophy, I was able to understand dharma concepts by experience and re-evaluate the west and India from a Hindu perspective, which is inevitable for most migrated Hindus. This developed a healthy respect for western technology and for Hindu wisdom, and their respective cultural history. The modern global culture is rooted in the competitive and colonial spirit of the west. However, with modern changes in the world such as interdependence, communication and new demands on our environment, a new cooperative wisdom is necessary for global survival.

This presentation is meant to inspire further research and active participation in setting new standards for civilized, cooperative behavior in our new world, based on Dharma concepts. The focus groups for this effort are Hindu: students, scientist and social activists who can take an unselfish, active leadership in shifting the current competitive stress of materialism in the world to a co-operative harmony through universal spirituality and brotherhood.

My research and experiences during my search

for inner strength are documented as presentations and booklets on: optimizinglife.org. The Booklet ‘Inner Strength’ shown above is a pictorial explanation of the science of Dharma or the universal truth from multiple points of view Such as: 1. Optimizing Life 2. Biology of Brain, Body and Mind 3. The Inner Strength 4. Accessing your Inner Genius 5. Modern Science and Consciousness 6. Evolution of Creation and Consciousness 7. Evolution of God, Religion and Spirituality 8. The Science of Love, Life and Spirit . There is a more detailed discussion of my spiritual journey in my book ‘Rationalizing spirituality’. The book “Rationalizing spirituality” starts with questions like, who am I? why am I here?, Where am I going? and How to get there?. The book discusses various aspects of intelligence, emotions and intuition from a holistic and scientific point of view and from the point of view of common personal experiences and common sense. These experiences and conclusions can be verified by the reader through his own research, experiences and experiments since some of these cutting edge research have not yet been accepted by the main-stream western scientists. Youtube.com can be a good resource to verify some of the rare, but repeatable physical and metaphysical phenomena.

This presentation is a small step in bridging the physical and metaphysical gap in accessing our ‘Inner Strength’. The intention here is to answer some questions and inspire more question and answers, to make the bride between physics and meta physics stronger. Much has been written in Hindu scriptures about inner strength, freedom, love, courage and democracy in thought and action, as dharma. This process of open discussion or purvapaksha has been an unique and proud tradition of Hindu culture. With our multiple Hindu gods as paths to one divinity and panchayat system, we are the true origin of democracy and freedom in thought and action. This diversity was held together through spiritual pilgrimage. No Hindu has been burnt for either philosophical or scientific research and difference in opinion, as for example in the west.

In analyzing Human consciousness to find inner strength, a comparative study of western culture and the Hindu culture has been extra-ordinarily beneficial, since culturally and historically they appear to be at the opposite ends of a spectrum, with a common goal of happiness. One has specialized in the material sciences and the other in spiritual sciences. The material or physical sciences are based on ego-centered, analytical intelligence and the spiritual science is based on emotions, love, life and wisdom. Intelligence is rational micro view of the world in the physical dimension. Wisdom

is a macro view of the multi-dimensional world that includes emotions, love and intuition. Humans are a combination of both Intelligence and Emotion. We are mostly emotional/spiritual or love based, and we use intelligence and rationality for communication, emotional stability and survival. Whereas the west has a history of power and materialism, based on 2000 years of colonialism and wars, Hinduism has a recorded history of Wisdom of dharma, material wealth and spirituality for over 12000 years (ref: Graham Hancock). This ‘ Hindu wisdom’ is based on its, truth, flexibility to adapt to nature peacefully and harmoniously and it has been successful and alive longer than any other culture on earth. History shows that, over time, many wealthy and powerful ego-centered, disharmonious cultures have been destroyed by nature. Therefore, it is worth discussing dharma with an open mind. Open mind in dharma, is not acceptance of randomness. It is based on ethics and wisdom of Dharma.

Dharma in India, has been in a state of confusion and decline because of our violent colonial history followed by, a lack of Hindu education, corrupt media and politics. Modern India is copying the west indiscriminately and unintelligently. We need to understand and strengthen our dharmic roots, to stabilize and motivate our inner spirit, with an open mind, and adapt constructive values as we have done before. In this presentation we will discuss Dharma, as a rational path to inner strength.

Relative ‘Truths’ are a set of ‘rights and wrongs’. They are cultural, local and transient. Absolute, eternal truth or ‘God’, is an experience of multi dimensional consciousness as absolute love or Bliss. It transcends physical dimension. Relative love is the origin of all emotions and thought patterns in creation. Therefore, when we transcend relative thoughts and emotions, all aspects of nature must lead to one absolute love or truth. This is shown in the graph by the symbol ‘om’ and a blue heart representing absolute love. This is similar in science to all equations and theories lead to one unified field theory. Our sensory perception of the physical world creates a layer of thoughts and emotions which makes the access to inner truth difficult. However if we analyze our experiences in life rationally without prejudice of our conscious and the subconscious, we will experience the truth in its absolute form as bliss. This is similar to tracing millions of leaves, flower, fruits, twigs and branches of a tree, which all look different at the surface, to its common root. Therefore, our inner strength or Absolute Truth or God, can be traced to our own pure consciousness. The deeper we go in our own consciousness, fewer conflicting thoughts we have and the stronger we become, for the simple reason: we find a second, inner source of stability, love, clarity and self-confidence. This search for inner strength is also the search for our inner spirit or spirituality.

There is no God besides our inner strength or the Self. The path to inner strength or spirit is an adventurous journey in to the unknown depths of our own consciousness. As we travel this spiritual path, we discover unexpected sources of peace, clarity of thought and intuitive knowledge. A spiritual path should be an enjoyable effort at every step. If it is not, it is not a spiritual path. Our intended goal in this discussion is to find a rational bridge between the physical and the meta physical, to experience our inner strength as we understand who we really are, what life is, and finally what Nature or the universe is made of.

Hinduism is based on open, tolerant, logical evaluation of facts and experiences, to find a path to ‘Inner Strength’ as Dharma. This process is purvapaksha. Purvapaksha is a discussion of a subject from a universal perspective. It requires an understanding of the dualistic (both positive and negative) nature of subject matter, so that we can find the origin of differences and go beyond. This is a unique, civilized perspective in life which has historically created a cooperative, harmony in nature and it is unlike the disharmonious competitive nature of our modern world which is ego-centered and not very civilized. In this process, the rituals in Hinduism help us cleanse our subconscious, collectively and individually.

The path to being God or ‘Inner Strength’ starts with a study of our own consciousness and our ability to witness the multiple layers of consciousness, thoughts and emotions we experience. The brain is an interface to the external sensory reality and also our multi-layered inner consciousness as in dreams. Our brain-mind is stabilized because of our slower sense perception. From this conscious layer, we can watch or witness other layers of consciousness when we minimize the noise generated by the body-brain-mind system. Many of these noise thoughts are created by the organic consciousness system with 3 layer of brain-mind, discussed in Page 9. The three Brain-mind systems compete to gain control at all times, as three gunas. They can generate thoughts that are inconsistent with our conscious desires and intentions. During waking hours, we have a better control over the thoughts, because of sense perception and concentration (a SW, selective noise filter).

As shown above, we have both information and noise in our thoughts, generated by our ego/conscious-mind, by our body- brain and our emotional subconscious /soul, All these signals create a turbulent and multi layered consciousness and thoughts. In addition to this we have intuitive access to a field of common consciousness. Beyond

common consciousness is a multi-dimensional world of quantum consciousness, with different natural properties at different layers that appear super-natural from other layers, as claimed by scientists and yogis. This is intuitive, non-local, quantum perception. We access some of these layers involuntarily based on our needs, instincts and intuition. We find identity, security, stability and comfort at the conscious level, most of the time and ignore all other experiences. This dependency on verbal communication and sense perception has increased wi th our modern speed of communication, which has limited our emotional perception and the silent, subtle perception of intuition, which can still be found in many animals, savants and as rare ESP. In the depths of our mind, we are a timeless, limitless field of consciousness with infinite inner strength. We are everywhere, all the time, as everything. Because everything is made of consciousness. Our self imposed limitation is due to our identity with the limited body and its associated limited sense perceptions, memory residues and the noise created by body-brain-mind system. If we overcome these limitations, by clearing our conscious and subconscious minds, we can intuitively perceive ‘everything’ and be an active part of a powerful multi-dimensional universal consciousness. This is close to being ‘god’.

The nature of brain-mind interface and the connection between several layers of consciousness can be understood by comparing it to a computer system. This is because, man has created the computer in his own Image. It cannot be otherwise. As shown here, our conscious mind (the Laptop) has limited control over the body (robot) through the senses (keyboard and monitor). The body (robot) itself has a smaller mind (computer) which controls the details of body (robotic) function and ‘talks’ to the human mind (Laptop), only when it requires help as body needs. The Human mind is connected to (LAN) common consciousness and ‘infinite wisdom’ on web of universal consciousness (WAN) similar to an internet.

If we develop better interface ability as intuition, by reducing noise and distraction, through meditation and witnessing, we can access higher consciousness and wisdom, with just our intention as a pointer to common consciousness. Our access to ‘infinite wisdom’ on the web of common consciousness is limited by our own obsession with the sensory excitement and the noise/distractions created by our body-brain-mind system, and by our subconscious mind/soul. Our conscious and the subconscious minds limit our life to the sensory, material world of unstable happiness and insecurity. Accessing higher consciousness gives us peace, emotional

stability and inner strength to meet challenges in life, from a macro, rational and intuitive perspective. The biggest hurdle in accessing our deeper consciousness is millions of years old body-gene t i c p rog ramming and ou r subconscious obsessions and emotional scars f r om pas t l i ve s , a s ka rma i n ou r soul/subconscious. Even though the genetic programming reduces as the body becomes old with age, the memory of pleasure lingers in our subconscious, which limits our evolution and even forces us to reincarnate in search of familiar field of consciousness. This is similar to an alcoholic who habitually goes back to the same shop for a drink or a ‘sprit’ that ‘haunts’ its familiar grounds.

Human body-brain evolved for the local, time-space constrained physical world as a part of body instinct. It did not evolve to access higher consciousness. The left brain supports this system by dominating our attention through talking-left-brain, (Broca’s region). However, the access to the infinite wisdom of intuition and universal consciousness (the ‘internet of Akashik records), appears to be through the right brain.

and shift our attitude from relative love to non-relative absolute love, compassion and tolerance.

We can improve our 'non-ego awareness’ through meditation on the right hemisphere of the brain (ref: Jill Bolte Taylor)

The Brain-mind evolved as an Organic Computer. The mind is what a brain does. The Brain is the Hardware that runs the Mind software. From DNA studies and embryonic similarities it is evident that all life forms had one source of evolution as shown here, from aquatic life in the sea. Because of this common origin, there are similarities in brain-mind functioning among species. The brain evolved in to three separate functional layers and not as one unit, suggesting three layers of mind, as gunas. These are shown in the graph above. 1)The reptilian, survival instinct based layer is the Brain Stem. 2)The Limbic system is the emotional, old mammalian brain and 3) the more recent neo-cortex. Since the neo-cortex is also the sensory interface to the external world it gives stability to the human body-mind system by prioritizing thought and emotional patterns.

Even though these three layers specialize in different functions, they are organic and therefore, adaptive and overlap functionality. They also produce some continuous random thoughts related to their functionality, as noise patterns. The noise from these layers is strong enough to keep us from accessing higher consciousness. Most humans and cultures operate from the lower two levels of the brain most of the time in auto-reactive mode - reptilian for pleasure (tamas) and limbic system for emotion (rajas). This is because, ‘the brain-mind’ evolved as a survival mechanism for animal life and not for accessing higher consciousness. Therefore, conscious decision of the neo-cortex is not enough

to control the emotional Limbic system and the reptilian brain. Constant repeated effort or training (tapas) is required to re-train each module of brain objectively, as if they belong to a different life form or a pet. This is the process of meditation, witnessing and Bhaktiyoga - to go beyond the limits of body genetics of the reptilian brain and the

Similar reprogramming methods are used in military, sports etc.

It is almost impossible to control all three brains to clear our mind of all thoughts, since they are genetically programmed to be functional when they are awake. Other than medication, natural sleep and persistent practice of meditation, there is no way of slowing them from producing thought patterns as noise. However, better results are obtained when love is used as basis of meditation (bhakti-yoga), since the survival instinct of all organisms, including the collective human organism, is based on the love of life or survival.

The path of dharma through the three Gunas (qualities) in nature discussed here, is a common pattern in all of life, nature and creation, including our brain-mind, our body and the world around us. Therefore, the path to access our Inner strength as clear consciousness is limited by the dynamic, evolutionary aspects of our own Brain- mind- body-sensory system. Most of the thoughts and emotions that occupy our brain-mind system are habitually created in all life-forms as patterns in evolution.

subconscious emotional residues (soul/karma) of the limbic system to reach higher consciousness.

On the path to inner strength, deep in our own consciousness, we need to understand the brain-mind system from the evolutionary point of view. This rational, self-analysis of our brain-mind is essential in understanding the common pattern of thoughts and emotions in us and our environment, This gives us a macro view of ourselves and our environment. In the absence of which, we are prisoners of our reptilian and limbic systems of pleasure, pain and emotional instability, which is a micro view of life. There are new evolutionary changes in Nature, that occur all the time. The changes that support nature and life are sustained and the ones that do not, are eliminated. This includes humans, based on their attitude. This process of evolution by reiteration, is gradual. It may take several hundreds or thousands of years for these adaptive changes to become stable states in our evolutionary DNA. Creativity in nature is expressed as mutation in DNA. This is similar to new ideas in computer evolution and adaptation. As computer software (thoughts) become more useful, they are first converted in to firmware (re-programmable hardware) and later in to hardware. As hardware their evolution slows down, just as skeletal similarities between mammals and amphibians shown here have not changed for millions of years.

Similarly, repeated thoughts, needs and deeds, become patterns of thoughts and behavior in the short- term and heredity and genetics in the long term. Experiments on laboratory rats show transfer of learned behavior into genetics with in a few generations. It is therefore, conceivable that human destructive attitude practiced over centuries can become a genetic characteristic of a culture, just as peaceful civilized behavior does in nature. Further, if we force changes against nature/environment, it will fight back and destroy the change, or destroy itself along with the change. This world may look unique to us but for nature, we are an insignificant, disposable, mutation of creation. Whether we survive or not as humans, depends on our collective dharmic attitude as humans toward our environment. There is no one else to protect us. Not even ‘God’.

Therefore, respect for the environment expressed as worship with rituals to go beyond ego-mind, is a primary responsibility in Hinduism. This requires, openness, love, unselfishness and respect for our environment and nature. Because of this, nature has sustained Hinduism for more than twelve thousand years, in spite of barbaric invasions, when most of the other ancient cultures and religions allover the world have been destroyed.

All life forms are related in a spectrum of consciousness and Gunas as shown above. The graph shows evolution of creation as an adaptive duplication of : 1). The DNA-gene pattern 2). The Spectrum of consciousness in creation and 3). The mathematical equation that relates life energy (E) to consciousness(c) and the subconscious(s) to predict different states of consciousness. 4). Einstein’s equation.

In nature: reproduction, survival, emotions, instinct and intuition are similar (not same) in all species, indicating a pattern in life forms. Thought and emotional patterns induced by nature/ environment make individual and collective changes in the species, as adaptive evolution, over time. In this section we discuss the multidimensional consciousness as the foundation of creation. The theory of, a field of consciousness being the foundation of creation is based on : 1). What we see as “real nature” is genetic programming and not a true reality 2) The sub atomic particles which all things are made of, do not have a material existence. They exist only as a probability. When they do exist, they occupy a space less than 0.001%. 3). Existence of Time-space-creation is a limited quantum reality, since time-space is a variable. These factors suggest that the foundation of creation is multi dimensional consciousness and “Miracles” such as clairvoyance and mysticism are not tricks, but are a rare natural phenomenon in

other, not easily accessible, quantum dimensions. This is evident in animal behavior, psychic events, savant syndrome, autism or mutations in consciousness. As discussed before, no matter how complex the end result of creation appears to be, all aspects of nature are based on the same basic fundamental principles which are adaptive-evolutionary in nature. For example, the patterns in DNA, embryos, atoms, solar system, etc, are all duplicated frequently. Even consciousness, life and behavior of life forms are duplicated. Therefore, creation can be represented mathematically as predictions in fractals, holograms and the “Om-equation” shown here. This relatedness suggests, that there is a “ fundamental experience of consciousness” which enables us to know “all” things through intuitive pattern recognition, when we remove our prejudiced and limiting layers of consciousness, since they are all related.

The study of this pattern starts with our own thoughts and emotions, as witnessing. This process of self-study is a combination of both meditation and witnessing. The intention here is to clear our mind of all preconceived individual and collective ideas to recognize, both consciously and intuitively, the pattern duplication that exists in ourselves, our species, our nature and our universe. This multiple path to a single experience of truth in consciousness is shown here as ‘OM’.

The graph shows the existence of collective consciousness/instinct (LAN: Local Area Network) in nature. The flock of birds and school of fish move in synchronicity without a leader. They move at high speeds without running in to each other, even though they do not have an individual consciousness that we humans identify with. This instantaneous communication is possible only as non-local, quantum or ‘other dimension’ communication. The same synchronic movement is impossible for humans as evident from parades, where only right angle turns are possible after extensive training !. The ability of birds, farm animals and pets to intuitively find their way back to their homes or owners or off-springs is common all over the world. As instinct this is not obvious in humans.

In humans this collective instinct appears to be recently lost, unused talent. However, its residues are still observed as ‘mob-mentality’. In relation to this, there is new research being done to determine the effect of spectators on games. Other indicators of this common consciousness are ESP, Savant and autistic syndrome, and genius. Where unusual, instantaneous access to information is observed, which bypasses the normal search-access to memory and the process of computation. ESP or intuition can be developed through the practice of unconditional love, as described in Pathanjali yoga sutras, since love is the original emotion as discussed next. In psychics and savants this is an accidental

phenomenon to ‘see’ distant object as ‘images’ and as 'knowingness'. There is evidence to show that humans have lost much of this natural, intuitive ESP ability recently, because of heavy dependence on conscious rational mind. There is also evidence to show that with modern high speed communication and over burden of information, we are finding it difficult to have room for even emotion and love, in our struggle for survival.

The common consciousness or akasha (ref : Edger Cacey) is available, in some species, as instinct beyond sensory perception. This is also accessible to all as intuition, if we can overcome the noise in conscious and subconscious. It gives us ‘the ability to be right always’ and the self- confidence to deal with ‘unexpected’ challenges in life. In the case of ‘Genius’, sometimes this access appears to come with a compromise in other faculties of the mind. Some of the ‘genius’ show extraordinary ‘love’ for their talent, which is the access path to higher consciousness. Meditation and witnessing on love gives us the clarity of mind and the intuitive ability to access the common consciousness as our inner strength. In Hindu tradition, rituals in professional community (Jathi) has helped in the development of specialized, intuitive awareness related to their particular profession. This can be compared to modern collective training concepts in instincts(Lan) and training in much deeper and wider layer of intuitive common consciousness.(Ref: Pg-8).

The study of genetic patterns and, patterns of thoughts and emotions in all life forms is a new field of science. According to modern science and vedanta the essential nature of universe is duplication of patterns or it is holographic and fractal by nature, as shown in (a). Here fractal means that the basic structure of the universe is repetitive with adaptive and creative changes in details. For example the DNA of life forms, as discussed before can be a good example of the process of duplication with mutation, in nature. Another example is the study of green-house effect by studying the leaves of a tree as shown in ( b). In (c) , the holographic nature of creation

is shown. Where each segment of the image carries a coarse image of the original as pattern duplication, in a different dimension.

We know from physical sciences, most repeatable phenomenon can be reduced to a pattern represented by an equation. Several such equations can be combined to define a collective phenomenon that have minor differences. For example, a differential equation can represent many physical events in transition, with minor differences that represent, adaptive and creative duplication in nature. This reduction of complexity to simplicity is also the theme of unified field theory, which represents seemingly unrelated multiple physical phenomena in our

(Indira's net)

physical dimension with one equation. This pattern duplication exists in both physical and metaphysical systems in Nature and they lead us to a single universal perspective on creation, which is the Limit of human potential. The path of dharma gives such an integral perspective at each step of the path through karmayoga and bhaktiyoga.

According to the physicist Dr: Bohm, even the structure of the Brain-mind- consciousness is a holographic system. Modern science says: the three dimensional world is a holographic projection of a two dimensional sphere that encloses it, and that the information sphere is a two dimensional record of past, present and future, in space-time. Similar to the image in (c). In Hindu Vedanta this is termed Akashik records. Past and future are accessible in the present through a clear consciousness as in the case of ESP. Further, according to Vedanta, this holographic and fractal system is accessed through intuitive pattern recognition. This is the basis for intuitive “ALL knowledge” gained through the process of (samyama), when our consciousness merges in the object of observation and we gain intuitive knowledge of the object. Samyama is acquired when we transcend conscious and the subconscious mind through meditation and witnessing.

The concept “as is the micro system so is the macro system” stated in the Vedas, is used here to explain the quantum nature of the universe. The pattern duplication principle discussed before, applies to both macro and micro systems in nature. Our human reality of vision is shown above as a limited/quantum spectrum of light in our physical dimension (a). This physical reality is one of the many quantum realities of different species in the physical world as shown in (b), where human perception is shown in green as one small segment. The quantum reality of each species is defined by its genetics as shown by a separate band. The same applies to other sensory perceptions. Therefore the world we live in is a partial reality and the Universal reality is not a gray scale of continuous reality. It is made of clusters of quantum realities with ‘barriers’ between them, that require extra-ordinary effort (Tapas) to overcome. This has been the rare, but repeatable, human experience. Most of the world has this model for spiritual dimension.

Just as there are quantum realities in the physical world, one for each species, there are quantum realities in the universe as different layers of consciousness. It takes extra ordinary effort to gain mastery over our own consciousness, to access these layers. Similar to climbing mount Everest, not every one is

interested or capable of achieving these ‘heights’ in consciousness. It is hard to perceive these dimensions due to limits of our mind and genetics. However, if we meditate and bypass these limitation in a trance, we can perceive other realities and dimensions of consciousness, as shown in (c) . This collection of “realities” is similar to a digital frequency spectrum, with each quanta defined by a center frequency. The experience of these quantum realities of consciousness are defined by our access and the level of our comfort at that quantum level of awareness. The world of “Ghosts” is a field of modern research in several universities. It is shown above in red as a transition state for most souls. (in Hindu tradition, about 14 days). Ghosts exist when the soul (subconscious) identifies with the physical body, ego and a space-time location and it persists as a ‘conscious- energy-field’, capable of moving objects as energy, even in the absence of a visible physical body. These apparitions have no barrier of matter similar x-ray energy field. Since they can move through walls and other objects. They appear to be held together as an energy field or a “ghost” by the will of their own sub-consciousness or soul. When this ‘sankalpa’ or ‘will to live’ or attachment/desire to material objects/life fades, the energy field disappears.

The graph shows the multiple, overlapping dimensions or layers of consciousness in the universe with their own time-space domain. Some laser experiments display this otherworldly ‘non-local dimension’, where events happen instantaneously and the ‘cause-effect’ sequence appear to be reversed. (ref: Dr: Amit Goswami) The physical, the spirit-soul world and other worlds can be represented similarly. As discussed earlier, psychics and savants can access these layers of consciousness. This can be considered an accidental ‘tunnel vision’ or a ‘worm-hole in consciousness’ into other dimensions or layers. Paranormal research in some universities have shown the existence of a spirit world where ‘souls’ or ‘ghosts’ or “human-energy fields” exist.

In Hindu scriptures. the field of consciousness is divided in to several quantum realities similar to our own reality, such as, the field of souls, spirits, Siddhas, Devas, Akasha and the Light of consciousness etc. In these layers, intuitive, non-local communication is possible. As our perception of consciousness and awareness changes, Past , present and future compress to now and ESP becomes a reality as “psychic powers” and we see past and future in the “present”. This is shown above

as compression of time. Some yogi’s appear to ‘create’ or transport matter in these dimensions. This is quite different from “Black magicians” who can communicate with spirits/ghost (Pg-14) to do similar “miracles" or just ‘tricks’.

Dharma-kshetra refers a path of evolution of consciousness in this physical dimension, through turbulent ocean of dualities and gunas to an experience of a multi-dimensional consciousness. In life, this is an evolution from dullness to anxious-instability of a micro, selfish vision of life, to peaceful-stability of a macro, unselfish vision of life. Beyond this stage of evolution is transcendence of time-space and creation of mater and energy, generally termed as miracles, super-human feat, mysticism etc. The repeatable ‘trance state’ in consciousness is not just personal experience or an imagination. This is a space of collective consciousness where repeatable non-local or quantum communication is possible between two entities, as in ESP or ‘intuition’ discussed before. This phenomenon is explained in the graph as non-linear, overlapping, multi-layered, time-space-consciousness domain. The concept of non-linearity of time-space is explained in detail by relativity theory and quantum mechanics.

Similar to Einstein’s equation that relates matter, energy and time-space (velocity), the process of motivation (prana or life-energy) and the evolution of consciousness can be represented by a non-linear equation, that can graphically represent different states of consciousness and the process of meditation.

Just as periodic tables can predict several elements based on mathematics, we can also predict some of the states of consciousness shown in the graph. All of these states are natural. Some are common and the others can be experienced through self-effort or yoga. In the graph, E=motivation or life-energy, C= Conscious mind, S= Subconscious mind and the “symbol OM” = the static field of consciousness, or ‘void’. By definition and experience, this field has no qualities or has all the opposite qualities of creation. However, when we get close to it, it is experienced as bliss, symbolized by “OM”, as discussed before.

In the graph above, the different states of consciousness are: (a) Absolute awareness, (b) Clairvoyant Consciousness (c) Meditation process (d) Jivanmukta / Turia (e) Samadhi / Turia (f) Deep sleep state (g) Random dream state (h) Wakeful state. Turia or the state of still consciousness can be compared to a conscious

witnessing state. This is similar to being simultaneously aware of the blank screen when watching a movie. It helps us retain control over emotions and provides a non judgmental, witnessing platform for the play of consciousness as emotions and rationality. The absolute, clear, consciousness (Turia), allows us to experience all states of consciousness objectively. Some of the states appear super natural from other dimensions.

According to scriptures, through the process of witnessing and meditation, it is possible to reduce noise in brain-mind and experience these higher states of consciousness. These states can be experienced as ‘light’ of consciousness, which can leave permanent, positive residues in our consciousness as inner strength. This is commonly experienced all over the world, and described in some scriptures and research papers. The physical universe is said to be one of the more stable realities where lasting changes to deeper consciousness can be made with conscious, repeated self-effort. Therefore, this physical plane is termed ‘Karma-bhumi’ or a plane of effort and it makes this world a unique platform to access the permanent state of self-awareness. Compared to this, heaven and hell are considered transitory emotional dream states.

Dr: Richard Bucke M.D, in his book “Cosmic consciousness” has documented several hundreds of cases of access to ‘common or cosmic consciousness’. His account agrees with the experience of “clairvoyant consciousness” by spiritual seekers, psychics, mystics and as NDE (Near death Experience) by patients in emergency rooms. This light of consciousness is represented graphically above as “light at the end of the tunnel”. This is one possible experience of ‘OM’ consciousness. The experience of “cosmic conscious-ness” is “sudden” or “quantum” (shown here in dark blue). It is “unexplainable”, more intense and lasts longer than other mood or awareness changes. The residues of “Cosmic” experiences appears to be individualistic and unpredictable because of the unknown individual soul or subconscious peak experiences. This explains the varying experience of the same “God” by mystics around the world, This is similar to looking at a mountain from a varying distances. You know the mountain exists but you are not familiar with the details.

Devotional music and ritualistic chanting in groups create a collective force in consciousness that can bypass the conscious and the sub conscious mind, to access the clairvoyant, trance state in consciousness. This is the foundation for collective and individual, idol worship and rituals all over the world. This is termed Bhakti-yoga in Hinduism. The goal of bhaktiyoga is to enhance the feeling of love in the heart as a path to higher consciousness by using an idol as an object of love and worship. There are

detailed procedures in Hindu scriptures to access such higher consciousness. These procedures focus on collective consciousness to reduce noise in the body-mind and the subconscious. Here the experience of love becomes more important than the object of love as we approach absolute love. For a true bhaktiyogi, who has surrendered his mind to his heart; gnanyoga, rationality and perfection are irrelevant.

Drugs have played an important role in the history of psychic experiences and spirituality. Traditionally, tribes all over the world have accessed an ‘altered’ state of consciousness with drugs, music, rhythm, and rituals. The discussion of ‘Soma’ juice in the Rig Veda indicates this origin followed by later research in higher consciousness with rituals and analysis for ‘one true God as consciousness’. This explains the neutrality of creation and ‘God’. However, the ‘Satvic’ or ethical values we attach to god is necessary to avoid body-mind distraction and focus on the integrating force of consciousness as love as discussed before. Psychic experiences due to drugs and alcohol last for a short time with side effects. Meditation and witnessing from the heart, has a gradual but more profound and permanent effect on consciousness as shown above. Even these changes tend to lose their effect if not sustained by self effort .

Resistance to meditation and witnessing is from two sources: 1) Stiction from body instincts and collective consciousness (LAN) or Tamas and 2) Friction/noise from soul or Subconscious emotional residues and habits (karma) or Rajas.

This is a partial list of poets, scientists and spiritual savants, who had a sudden “flash of Enlightenment”, compiled by Dr: Richard Bucke, based on his personal interviews with contemporary “enlightened” people and historical research. In fact, Dr: Bucke himself had such a quantum experience that prompted him in his research of “Enlightened” individuals as documented in his book-"Cosmic consciousness". Many spiritual seekers are prompted by such a “flash of light” or “unexplainable experiences” or “quantum experience”.

The book lists names, year of quantum (flash) experience and their age at the time of their experience. Some of them had intense desire and self-effort (Tapas) to search for the ‘unknown’ and the ‘all-powerful’. Most could only classify their experience as a miracle or a vision of God or an angel. Others, including Dr: Bucke, experienced an “unexpected flash of light” ( probably prompted by their subconscious karma) followed by a sudden, significant change in their awareness, perception and thought patterns, and even personality. The lasting effect of this ‘light experience’, in most cases is one of love and harmony. To a few, this change has occurred through physiological defects or mutation in brain or a stroke, and to some, it cold be

a temporary or permanent experience as in NDE. In most cases, the experience will gradually disappear over time without self-effort, sensitivity, awareness and knowledge to sustain it. However, there are similar claims by some charlatans who have been a source of violent religions and cults.

Access to this super human awareness through self-effort by Samurai in Japan, has been discussed by many books including Eugen Herrigel’s “Zen in the art of archery”. There are videos of such samurai feats on the youtube. In the Samurai tradition, the barrier of survival instinct has been broken by a collective tradition of courage, based on the principle of honor over life, to create a fearless clarity and concentration. Like the yogis, the samurai have been able to achieve super human abilities in martial arts, based on the principle of Buddhist renunciation. This is an indication of the neutral or ‘inanimate’ nature of still-consciousness or the ‘True God’. This is quite different from the ‘peaceful and harmonious’ super human feats achieved in other Buddhist and Hindu tradition, when a higher awareness is achieved with unconditional, universal love, with witnessing and meditation, which can potentially lead to us to the experience of even higher dimensions in the universal consciousness.

The paths of Dharma and sanyasa are different even though they have the same goal. Understanding Dharma, Sanyasa and moksha is essential for a focused effort in a Dharmic path to inner strength. Sanyasa is rejection of physical reality of our world to access the reality of absolute consciousness as shown above. This requires renunciation of the physical world in isolation. Typically such sanyasis are forest dwellers. They have no Dharma other than self-realization. This is a difficult path and it is suitable for only a few who are ‘driven’ by their subconscious karma to be disinterested in the excitement of the external world and body instincts. They are intuitively and intensely attracted to renunciation and the philosophy of ‘other worldliness’.

On the contrary, the Dharmic path discussed so far, includes all of life and nature as shown above, by expanding of our relative, ego-centered, narrow love into unselfish or universal love. This minimizes selfishness and converts relative love in to all inclusive absolute love.

A Dharmic path has the support of the nature, which is also held together by love. Therefore, there is less struggle and confusion in this Dharmic path of to success and happiness. Dharma requires complete participation in life with love, courage and happiness. In the path of Dharma, as selfishness is surrendered to unselfishness, life becomes a process of dedicated service in love for the fulfillment of accepted responsibilities (karmayoga). This is quite opposite to the current obsession with ‘me first’ or egoistic-philosophy of the materialists, which generally

This is a process of integrating the six types of intelligence: cognitive, emotional, social, environmental, moral and intuitive-spiritual.

'tough-love'

forces us to compromise our ethics for pleasure and excitement, leading us to senility with age. In the path of Dharma, moksha is a default state of soul, when the well disciplined body and mind deteriorate with age.

In Dharma, it is a necessity and a responsibility of a satvic dharmi to participate actively in the community and work with a rajas (selfishness) and tamasic (ignorance), to practice witnessing and acquire inner strength. It is also satvic social responsibility to bring satva to the otherwise rajasic and tamasic, materialist world of the survival of the fittest. The Hindu scriptures ensure that the two paths of Dharma and sanyasa are separated to avoid confusion and de-motivation by each other, for the simple reason that a true sanyasi has renounced the world through his personal ‘death’ ceremony and therefore, a sanyasi has very little to contribute to a Dharmic life, other than being a reminder of the possible existence of Moksha and as an example in renunciation. Traditionally the shiksha-Gurus in Hinduism have been dharmis who are experts in all four stages in life. Unfortunately, because of the turbulent history of foreign invasions, sanyasis have been forced to become the default gurus in Hinduism. They have emphasized ‘other worldliness’ by preaching an ‘adharmic miserable world’ philosophy. Many of the adharmic qualities such as, lack of interest in life, unhappiness, timidity, irresponsibility, poor work ethics etc can be traced to this unfortunate turn of history,

social values became Hindu gurus ! Fortunately for us, we have extensive cultural/scriptural heritage that sustains Hindu Dharma.

For a sanyasi, meditation is a way of life to access higher consciousness. It is practiced most of the time, mostly in isolation in a forest. His focus is a state of still consciousness and not ‘inner strength’. On the other hand, meditation as practiced by dharmis, during a short period of daily morning ritual, is to calibrate their own mind for Inner strength and clarity, before they start their energetic, full, daily life. As in all things in life, the success of meditation depends of persistence (discipl ine) and consistence (quality of concentration/ effort). A Moksha mantra based exclusively on love and reverence for the source of the mantra is essential to ignore thoughts and stabilize the mind, during all 6 steps as shown above. The mantra becomes a subconscious, default state until it is replaced by a still consciousness. It is important that the moksha mantra has no meaning. Its power to break through multiple layers of consciousness to reach still consciousness rests entirely on the love and reverence for the source, since love is the connecting path through multiple layers of consciousness. If a moksha mantra has a meaning it will become a process of self hypnosis and therefore ineffective.

The following is an overview of the meditation process. The Details of the process of meditation can be found in “Rationalizing Spirituality - Ch 3.8" which can be downloaded from “optimizinglife.org”. Each of the following steps is practiced for about 5 Minutes. A 108-bead string may be used to keep time. Sit comfortably and pay attention to breathing to relax your body and mind. Imagine a peaceful, fluorescent, divine blue-white light filling body and heart. Close your eyes during meditation and ‘accept and ignore’ but do not resist any external noise or

internal thoughts. Since, resistance enforces noise and thoughts. 1). Shift your awareness from mind to heart. Expand your heart and fill it with a feeling of divine love and courage. Experience the feeling of love in the heart as you slowly breath and chant your Moksha mantra. This love is your divine, silent witness.

2). Close your eyes. Relax your eye balls. Imagine a blank space in front as an “objective world” as shown. While breathing-in, experience love in the heart and while breathing-out witness the “objective world”. 3). Imagine a location for an “objective-ego” in the back of the brain as shown above. As before in (2), repeat breathing and witnessing the “Objective-ego”.

5). Merge in the feeling of unselfish universal love in the heart (Witness) and ' become' the feeling of love and light in your heart. 6). Slowly expand your awareness of love and light beyond your heart and body, to fill “the Universe”. Merge in this 'Unlimited consciousness' as your 'true self, absolute Consciousness/Love'. Stay in this state of meditation 5 to 25 minutes. The peace and love created in meditation is sustained rest of the day as 'witnessing', as explained in page-24.

Spirituality and higher consciousness cannot and should not be imagined. Spirituality is an experience. Disciplined meditation and witnessing will lead to clarity of consciousness. The proof of this is courage, no worries, good sleep, concentration and intuition. These improvements will be self evident and should not be discussed. Any discussion and imagination of these improvements will only lead to mental distractions

To intensify this feeling of love, merge or become or exist as love in your heart.

4). Merge in ('become' or 'exist as') unselfish, satvic-awareness of the Brain right hemisphere (Ref: Pg-8), as shown above.

and regression in meditation.

Dharma is a natural, harmonious path of least resistance to access inner strength and happiness, because it is based on love. Dharma does not require isolation, surrender and renunciation of the world, as in sanyasa. The path of Dharma is to understand, enjoy and use the forces and tendencies in nature to bypass the barriers to inner strength and spirit. In the Bhagavad Gita, ‘Dharma Kshetra-Kurukshetra’ implies that the path of dharma is a struggle (not surrender) against forces of ignorance and selfishness. The three layers of our brain-mind discussed earlier, relate to the three aspects of nature (gunas) reflected in our body, our emotions and our rationality. These ‘gunas’ are managed and brought under the control of our conscious mind by three different processes or yoga systems shown above. The goal is to create a macro view of life by minimizing the egoistic micro view tendencies of body, emotions and intellect.

Presence of mind expressed as courage, truth, love and unselfish effort is the essence of karmayoga. Action brings presence of mind. The action to thought ratio and the satvic motivation regulate both body and mind, as karmayoga. By keeping the body and mind busy with work, particularly creative group effort, we bring our awareness to the present. The group effort or ‘Satsangh’ is an important aspect of karmayoga, which stabilizes our emotions and motivates our love based on the principle: ‘shared happiness is maximized and shared unhappiness is minimized’. Secondly, as the effort is motivated by unselfish love, love gets intensified and becomes a dominant,

default emotional state in our personality. Since all life forms intuitively respond to survival and love, our stable, predictable love creates an open support system we need in our environment. This is an unselfish, bilateral, harmonious, co-existence.

As shown above, there are three aspects to creation of this unselfish love as our dominant emotion. The first, bhaktiyoga is worship of all objects in nature with love and equanimity in symbolic group rituals, which creates a supportive common consciousness of love and helps us stabilize and harmonize our conscious and the subconscious mind with our environment. The second, Karmayoga takes this unselfish love to deeper consciousness when it is expressed as unselfish-love-in-action as discussed earlier. Karmayoga opens our mind in love to our environment, stabilizes our emotions and regulates our body through diet and exercise. The third, gnanayoga, is the rational, macro view or wisdom of life. This helps us understand the interconnected nature of our life and our environment, so that we have harmonious, peaceful, coexistence in life, instead of a competitive, unstable, ego-centered materialistic life. This rational, macro view of life will keep our focus on dharma in spite of all other sensory distractions in life. Of the three yoga system, karmayoga is essential to manage body consciousness, which is dominated by the genetic programming. The fourth: Bhati as Dhyanayoga is practiced as meditation on love and witnessing as discussed next.

In the process of accessing our inner strength we choose to replace all conflicting emotions in our conscious and subconscious mind by one emotion of love, to reduce noise and clear a path to higher or deeper consciousness. Love is a perception of consciousness all over creation. Both absolute love and absolute consciousness are experienced as bliss. There is no duality or antonym for absolute love. Absolute hate (devil), the counter-part of absolute love (god), does not exist. One is bound to self-destruct in hate long before absolute hate is experienced, whereas, absolute love includes us and it is the very nature of creation and survival. Therefore, there is no confusion in the absolute nature of love as the non dual original emotion. Love is the only common experience that connects us to all life forms in this and all other worlds, in this multi dimensional creation. This experience can be as simple as developing a feeling of love in the heart through meditation. Other good habit follow by themselves because Nature or Self supports good qualities as a path to survival, love and universal consciousness. Soon, you will attract and glow in love.

When we view the world from the body-mind perspective, this love is modified by the mind in to different good emotions/ unselfish qualities (Satva) as shown in the graph above and their opposites: bad or selfish emotions (not shown). This is similar to passing a stream of pure love in to a prism of ego that diffracts love in to a series of diverse emotions. For example in persons with paralysis of the left brain, when the ego (left talking brain or Broca's area) is paralyzed, dualities of emotions disappear and one feels only the bliss of love (ref: Jill Bolte Taylor). Similar experiences of bliss are recorded by accident

victims of the left brain, when the conceptual world (ego) is destroyed temporarily. If the need to love others and be unselfish, dominates our life, we create unselfishness, happiness and good emotion around us. On the other hand, if our need to be loved is more dominant as in ego-centered selfishness, we create selfishness, unhappiness and associated bad emotions and qualities around us. Love and unselfishness are intuitively perceived by our environment, just as selfishness is perceived by our environment as defensive survival instinct.

Therefore, as discussed earlier, the only way to know and experience our multi- dimensional universe and creation, is to meditate on Love and to make love the foundation of our life so that all thoughts and emotions originate from love. This integrates our consciousness, making our life moral, peaceful, stable, subtle and in-tune with nature or god and, it creates a path to inner strength. If unselfish, universal, unconditional love is not God, then, there is no God. According to the Bhagavad Gita , we are originally ‘god’ or ‘love’ and not ‘sinners’ and we only need to rediscover ourselves, through self-effort. Therefore, we do not need to be saved by any prophet or a church.

In course of life we tend to be extraverted when happy and introverted when unhappy, which can create a barrier of unhappiness and even depression, in our subconscious. This barrier makes it difficult for us to access our inner strength, peace, love and happiness, we are capable of in our deeper consciousness. However, through meditation on love and through witnessing with love and courage, we can transcend the barrier of unhappiness and access our true potential. (ref: Inner Strength ,Pg-12 )

Hindu dharma is about transition from relative love to absolute love. This happens when we fall in love with the feeling of love itself. The experience of absolute love as bliss, is the same as the experience of absolute consciousness. In the Dharmic ritual of meditation on love, our emotions and consciousness are reset or calibrated to a known state of love everyday. As discussed before, love is not only a common factor in all life forms in this physical universe, but it is also a common factor in all other dimensions.

As shown in the graph, any object of love can be a starting point for meditation. The only condition is that the object of your love must be stable and reverential, and it should not be subject to changes by our ego and emotions. The Object of our love can be a god, guru or some one we know or read about. It can even be our pet, as shown here. The focus here is the intensity of reverential love that the object creates in our heart and not the ‘reason’ for love. Meditation as practiced by dharmis during a short period of daily morning ritual, is to calibrate their own mind for Inner strength and clarity, before they start their energetic, full, daily life.

As in all things in life, the success of meditation depends on persistence (discipline) and consistence (quality of effort and concentration). When we start our meditation with eyes closed, we imagine the object of our love in our heart and chant a mantra. The object helps us generate a feeling of

first

love in the heart . With practice, we should be able to generate and sustain the feeling of love in the heart, at will, even without an object during meditation and make it a continuous feeling in the heart.

If we truly love the object of reverence more than our ego, thoughts will subside and we will go to a trance state as shown above, and our awareness shifts from relative love with objects to absolute love without objects. As we continue this process, we radiate love that is perceived intuitively by our environment. With persistence and long practice, we can transcend the physical dimension and 'all' things become “intuitively known” to us in the divine bliss of universal consciousness. This is the concept of ‘Bhakti-yoga’ or the yoga of love. Historically, a limited trance state is reached through the common consciousness of group rituals and devotional singing all over the world.

With love based meditation and witnessing, this process can become deeper and more “rational, predictable, reliable and known”.

The key to developing absolute love is the expression of love as ego-less, unselfish service in love or karma-yoga. This is surrender of our selfishness to our unselfish love as our inner divinity. Any other concept of surrender leads to a state of fear and confusion that can pollute the very feeling of love in our heart. A guru can be an example, guide, mentor or a pointer to our own inner guru - the absolute love in our heart.

This is a process of falling in love with the feeling of love in the heart itself.

Bhakti-yoga is most effective when practiced in groups as devotional worship with an object or an idol of reverence.

Like all life forms, humans are dominated by sense perception. When we are happy we tend to be extraverted and we are introverted when unhappy. According to Abraham Maslow, our unresolved peak experiences in life are stored in our subconscious as emotions. In Hindu scriptures, these peak experiences can be even from our previous life as karma. Most of our thoughts, emotions and actions are triggered and managed by our subconscious. This can cause emotional instability and unhappiness, if there are deep scars or unhappy residues in our subconscious. This is more so in an unpredictable insecure environment. Witnessing stabilizes our mind by replacing all our emotions with love as our default emotion. This love gives us time and confidence to respond peacefully instead of reacting to external events out of fear and insecurity. In most cases, our love based first response and attitude will disarm any external unpleasantness, since love is the fundamental force for survival and happiness in all of nature.

As shown in the graph above, Love replaces all other emotions in the subconscious to stabilize our conscious and subconscious mind. Witnessing is a

Witnessing can be practiced to extend and sustain the ‘Satvic’ state of mind and unselfish love and courage in the heart, created during meditation (Ref: Pg-20,22). It is a process of being heart centered and watching our own emotional and thought patterns , which will help us understand all other dynamic consciousness or personalities from an objective or macro perspective. This macro view gives us the stability to be responsive by ignoring our own and others reactive emotions. The Scriptures say that an elephant ignores the barking dogs as it walks through a village,- peacefully.

habit we develop to be aware off and experience the feeling of love and courage in our heart, at all times, no matter what the state of our mind and the external world is. This is a shift in our awareness from our reactive, emotional mind to a loving, responsive, heart. Witnessing can be practiced with or without a mantra. However it is more effective in the initial stages with a mantra.

Witnessing helps our mind : 1). Slow Down and be under control. 2). Helps us to understand ourselves better, objectively and therefore, 3). Helps us to understand others objectively. 4) As we become less self-centered we identify more with our environment and recognize patterns in life spontaneously and intuitively. 5) All these have an intense, peaceful, loving effect on our personality. As we practice witnessing and

we radiate love, peace and security, which will be perceived intuitively by our environment. The immediate benefit of meditation and witnessing is creation of a personal “space” in our consciousness that enables clarity of thought followed by stability and efficiency in our actions. As this personal “space” in consciousness purifies and expands, we can induce a supportive, loving, harmonious consciousness in our immediate environment, since love is the foundation of creation.

The process of witnessing gradually develops in to a presence of mind or “being-here-now’. This is a result of having the courage to let go past and future worries, and to be in love with the present, no matter what it is we are doing. This is the goal of dharma-karmayoga.

The mantra can be 'love', as we breath-in and 'courage', as we breath out.

The path of dharma is based on love, ethics and morality which are expressed as equanimity in nature. In the traditional ‘Guru-kula’ system of Hindu education, the pupil was part of the Guru’s family. Ethics were the foundation of civilization and not materialism and appearances, as it is today. With lack of ethics that has followed modern education system, Hindus have to chant the dharma mantra to reorient their values and priorities in life. Just praying to god will not work. We need to focus on dharma, since undue focus on moksha is detrimental to life. The dharma mantra also helps in the process of witnessing, as discussed before. A dharma mantra such as “Discipline, Courage, Love, Truth, gratefulness, patience, hard-work, awareness and Unselfishness”, can be chanted when we are doing routine, repeated physical activity or when we are not in an important thought process, as shown above. This mantra is our reliable ‘dharma guru’. We can change the dharma mantra to suit our needs. For example, if are in a challenging situation we may choose to focus on courage or patience. In all cases, it is important to include Discipline, Courage, Love, Truth and Gratitude as a starting words. Gratitude is an important aspect of witnessing, since it motivates us to be helpful to others. In the absence of this, ego and selfishness will creep in and pollute our fundamental principles because of stress, emotions and competition in life. Over a period of time, the mantra becomes a background task and a philosophy of life. It will come to foreground spontaneously, when needed, because of the stability and peace of mind it provides and, as a source of positive energy. This process also improves group communication by making us

predictable and reliable. With practice, the mantra becomes a subconscious reminder of the witnessing process.

As discussed in the Bhagavad Gita, Dharma is primarily implemented as Karma-yoga. Karmayoga is love expressed as devotional, selfless service. It is a path through the conscious, sub-conscious and the common consciousness to access universal consciousness in all things we do, where the doer disappears in a bliss of experience as in a hobby, music or sports. This implies executing our accepted responsibilities with full devotion and extraordinary, dedicated effort and not let results affect our motivation negatively. This is not detachment to effort or results, as it is commonly misunderstood. The intention is to optimize our life by bringing presence of mind, complete effort, sensitivity and unselfish commitment to everything we do in life. This is ‘heaven on earth’. Courage gives us detachment from past and future and love gives us the focus on the present. The dharma mantra or the repetition of our principles in life, is an important tool in karma-yoga. 1). It develops presence of mind 2). It keeps useless, energy-consuming, emotional thoughts away, giving us energy to focus on what is important. 3). It creates positive attitude to face challenges. 4). It counters the random or negative talking brain. 5). It fights the commercial distractions that we face in the modern world. 6). It defines who we are and gives us emotional stability and peace of mind. 7). This is a form of positive self-hypnosis to over come our negative sub-conscious and environmental programming. 8) With practice and application, it develops in to a philosophy of life. 9) It defines and represents the “perfect guru / trainer” we hope to meet.

Many of our unresolved experiences during childhood or even in the past life, end up as subconscious scars or peak experiences (Ref: Abraham Maslow). We need to resolve these emotions to integrate a fragmented sub-conscious. Without this, the mind can be unstable and the access to inner strength and self-confidence is difficult. Therefore, our biggest barrier in accessing our Inner strength can be our own subconscious mind. The “talking left brain”, shown above, sustains the fragmented subconscious mind and its associated negative thought patterns. These can be deep rooted and may not be easily reasoned and eliminated with rationality or dharma mantra. This is more obvious in people with low self-confidence, when many of their good intentions are defeated by their own subconscious, over time. However, it is possible to overcome this barrier to change by reprogramming our deeper subconscious during sleep, when it is more receptive to suggestions and self-hypnosis. In self-hypnosis we embed the basic principles in life that are supported by unselfish love and courage, deep in our own subconscious. As shown in 'Step 1', above, a series of general principle similar to dharma mantra that address our specific thought and attitude patterns that we intend to change are recorded in appropriate, familiar sentences and phrases, in our “own voice” (to over come 'our own subconscious inner voice' or the 'talking brain'), in an mp3 recorder. In 'step2', it is played back, at a low volume, repeatedly during sleep at night, until the negative “talking left brain” is reprogrammed with positive talking patterns. With this, many of the subconscious negative programming can be replaced with a positive feedback and inspiration. This is a process of self-hypnosis. (Ref: Self-hypnosis by Mr: Harry Aaron).

Another effective way of defusing the ego-centric sub-conscious and make it global or universal is to

merge in the unselfish or 'Satvic' sphere as we go to sleep at night (Ref: Pg-8, 20).

The “Talking Brain” is a cluster of neurons the size of a peanut, in the analytical left half of the brain, that continuously talks to us in terms of body needs, identity, survival, security and our subconscious desires and fears. This is a non-stop organic computer that produces thoughts like kidney produces urine until it is tired as in deep sleep or dysfunctional. The goal of meditation is to gain control over the talking brain by ignoring it. The Left-brain limits our thoughts to sensory and body identity by filtering the global information processed by the right brain. This Process is our ego. As a part of evolution, ego is based on security and sensory happiness motivated by the survival instinct of body/nature, through the body-brain system. The body-brain system has no concept of higher consciousness. Because of this, our ego-centric mind is an inefficient interface to our higher consciousness. It is possible to defuse the “talking Brain” and shift our awareness from the talking left brain to right brain just as we shift our awareness from one arm to another when necessary. With this shift we de-energize the talking ego and be more present in unselfish, universal or 'satvic' awareness.

The process of talking left-brain and the concept of ego and individuality starts at about the age of 5 and matures over several years. The talking brain will not stop talking until death. It even talks during senility, when we loose individuality. Ego is the origin of individuality, rationality and intelligence. It causes the illusion of separation from nature and our environment. (ref Dr: Jill B. Taylor). If the talking ego identity is dominant we tend to be selfish and harmful to the environment. When this intelligence is used unselfishly to identify with our environment and become part of it, intelligence becomes wisdom.

Truth or God, is eternal and universal. It is a divine experience of our universal, multi-dimensional consciousness and our absolute, universal love. It is bliss in a trance. It is independent of space and time and therefore, it is related to our eternal spirit or soul. The application of Truth is unconditional love for all of nature or creation. This absolute quality is hard to apply in a relative world of rules, rights and wrongs. Truth includes all aspects of creation. Anything based on truth has the support of creation in all its dimensions and it is therefore stable, clear and everlasting. Truth can be eclipsed but not destroyed. Truth can be experienced but cannot be explained or created by man, who is confined to one physical dimension. Truth can be experienced in a diluted form, in this physical dimension by all life forms as relative love, sex and happiness….Ethics/morals are an application of truth in life. They are based on love, peace, equanimity etc which are held sacred and unchangeable. Unfortunately, in most of the world, ethics are largely limited to humans and do not include our diverse environment as it should…..Rules or Commandments regulate a culture. They are based on survival, emotions and History. They are local, cultural and time dependent relative values in a society. Rights and wrongs are stable and harmonious, if they are related to Absolute truth, as ethics. If not, they are implemented by force and fear as blind faith and have no universal philosophy. Attempts to create a philosophy based on a blind faith and belief system tend to be self contradictory and fail to evolve with rest of nature. Blind faith and commandments are

enforced by many history centric, local religions, as universal values, through organized violence, force and fear, which is contradictory to Absolute truth as universal, all inclusive, Absolute and unconditional love...Dharma is a an unselfish multi layered path of love and happiness. It is a practical application of an idealistic philosophy of absolute love to our world of relative love and contradictions. The goal of dharma is to apply the ethical principles to life in a gradual, flexible and tolerant path to all of creation, which is dominated by ignorane and selfishness, instead of by force and fear of god. The ethics of dharma are intuitive, such as: Unselfishness, Love, Freedom, Equanimity, Mutual Respect, courage etc….. Like Ashoka, Mahatama Gandhi was unsuccessful in his heroic effort to apply absolute non-violence as dharma in a world dominated by rajas (selfishness) and tamas (ignorance). Swami Vivekananda was a rare sanyasi who promoted dharma as love and karmayoga for sanyasis instead of the usual ‘complete renunciation of effort in this miserable world’. This is a much needed awareness in India today because of many destructive forces against Hinduism and India. There is no Dharma without karmayoga. The Bliss of self is experienced in Karmayoga, here and now, in a semi-trance, bliss of unselfish effort, courage and love, This awareness becomes part of our eternal soul. This is the only practical application of of Bhakti, Jnana and Dhyana yoga-s for dharmi-s. This can only be accomplished with extraordinarily disciplined, self-effort, love and perseverance in everything we do in this life.

As shown above, there are four Dharmas for every person to follow. All of them are based on Love, Responsibilities, and Unselfish action. They are in priority: 1). Swadharma (chosen responsibilities). 2). Kula or Jathi Dharma (Family or community responsibilities) 3). Kala dharma (Responsibilities based on the needs of the time) 4.) Sanathana/Sama Dharma eternal Responsibilities to God / Nature/ environment.

The philosophy of dharma is popular all over the world as Buddhism. It has brought love, harmony and a peaceful civilization to most of the world. For over 2500 years, dharma has been accepted voluntarily by various cultures in the east. It has also influenced the west. This is quite different from the other religions where fear of god and violence have been the primary tools in forcing their local, history centric, blind belief as a universal truth. In an universal truth there is only love and evolution. In a local philosophy of relative love; hate and devil are essential to express love in relative conceptual terms. This need for hate has forced some local religions to use hate, revenge and violence to spread their religion as universal. When force and violence are removed through mutual respect for other faiths, these religions will have evolved in to dharmic, universal philosophies. There is a new awareness in the west of this universal truth and many have converted in to Buddhism or follow Buddhist philosophy. However, powerful and structured religious organizations find it hard to evolve. The origin of Buddhism and its philosophy is in Hinduism. Where the basic ethics have been practiced as love,

non-violence and respect for diversity in creation expressed as ritualistic worship of nature, represented by multiple gods and idols, with full awareness that the experience of absolute love in all paths, is god. This is evident from the tolerant existence of many life forms in India that have been forced in to extinction in other parts of the world.

As shown above, the evolutionary path of individuals, cultures and religions go through three stages: 1) Ignorance (tamas) 2) Selfish awareness (rajas) and 3) Unselfish awareness (satva). Dharma is a path through these three stages of creation to reach inner divinity or ‘Inner Strength’. The harmonious path of dharma to moksha is made possible by making each step of its application practical, flexible, natural and local, but with one uncompromising condition that all actions be based on unselfish love and non-violence. This enables one to stay on the path of dharma as one struggles through the real world of ignorance and selfishness, to reach our inner strength or god.

.

In the absence of dharma both individuals and religions get caught and stagnate in the lower stages of awareness and evolution, which is a state of intolerance, lack of mutual respect, violence and materialism as practiced by many cultures and religions today. At present, there is a danger of violence and materialism becoming a global philosophy

This extra ordinary and unselfish effort in Karmayoga to reach superhuman results in all aspects of life is 'tapas'. Tapas also applies to our effort in transition from physical to universal consciousness in meditation

because of the confusion between modernization and westernization.

This graph shows both a macro and micro view of creation and consciousness from a Hindu point of view. The origin of creation as shown in the middle with a red question mark is eternal. Meaning it is beyond time-space and it can be only be experienced as still consciousness, where the physical world and time-space disappear. This is considered a trance state from the physical dimension. Both of these states of consciousness are ‘realities’ from their own perspective similar to vision in different species. This timeless-ness is possible since time-space is a collective and individual perception of a dynamic consciousness and it is a variable. Therefore, in Hindu scripture, the origin of creation is an eternal void or nirguna brahman.

The perception of creation and its three evolutionary qualities or ‘gunas’ , explained earlier, go through the same cycle of expansion and contraction, individually and collectively as dynamic organisms and organizations. This is similar to our own states of consciousness in a day, where still consciousness is our deep sleep state. This similarity is the systemic, pattern duplication nature of creation. Life forms evolve from still consciousness to dynamic consciousness and back to still consciousness in cycles, eternally, shown as multiple loops in evolution in the graph above. There is progression and regression in this evolution at

every stage. Nothing is guaranteed in evolution except freedom of choice ( from a micro perspective and mutation from macro perspective) followed by consequences. There is no perfection in dynamic creation since it is a transition and not a state. Even in Hindu scriptures, there is no perfect god or guru who knows or controls all things in creation or just even in his own life. However, the path of dharma is a path of love and happiness, to inner strength, freedom and universal consciousness. The stories of perfection that are told in most cultures is a list of wishful thinking, sometimes based on experiences of higher consciousness that point to limitless possibilities, similar to limits of mathematical equations. The only ‘perfection’ that can be experienced is deep sleep. Even this is a transition because of deeper dynamic consciousness that wakes us up to the same physical reality. This concept is shown as a black dot or absolute ignorance or ‘Tamas’. Very close to it, on the other side of ‘void’ is the highest possible state of conscious awareness ‘OM’, that is experienced repeatable by a few yogi-s, as self realization or ‘Sat-Chit-Ananda’ (the eternal experience of bliss of consciousness). This rare experience is described in the Bhagavad-Gita as a multi-layered nature of consciousness and blissful vision of creation, that includes past present and future. Psychic-ESP is a limited experience of this common consciousness.

Like modern computers Hinduism is a graphic and symbolic language. Hindu spirituality, science, mathematics, culture, rituals and philosophy have graphic and symbolic representations. All aspects of nature are expressed symbolically because of the multidimensional nature of the universe. In this graph, the multidimensional philosophy (Wisdom) of Sanathana dharma and its application as Hinduism, in its current version, is explained. On the left the Hindu philosophy is explained as an evolutionary process from the physical dimension to metaphysical dimension, in three stages of nature. The path from body consciousness (tamas) to selfish, ego-awareness (rajas) to unselfish, self-awareness (satva) is the path of dharma. Beyond unselfish awareness is the path to multi-dimensional consciousness, as in ESP and Para-psychology. The ultimate, unlimited experience of consciousness is Void or nirguna bhrahman. The concept of universal oneness or a systemic universe, is based on pattern duplication in nature, through the conscious and intuitive experiences. The graph also shows the possibility of stagnation in the process of evolution because of ignorance and intolerance. As evident from history, intolerant religions that obsess over their personal rules book, stagnate in violence, at the lower levels of evolution. All individuals, life forms, organizations and even religions can be mapped on this scale of evolution as qualities in consciousness (gunas).

On the right, the practical path to this higher consciousness is shown as Hindu dharma. It is

based on freedom to choose a ‘personal god’ and respect for diversity. This democracy in thought and spirituality is unique to Hinduism. It made Hinduism non-violent and civilized. It is expressed in multiple gods and philosophies as portals to one supreme experience of the ‘devine’. This is the foundation for all things Hindu, including art science and mathematics. This is a natural, adoptive path of least resistance to achieve higher levels of universal awareness and civilized life. The success of this method is evident from long history of Hinduism. The Vedas are the original intuitive scriptures ‘heard’ in resonance with nature and in clear consciousness, as opposed to man made scriptures. These experiences were debated and evolved as multiple philosophies or as different paths to a common expe r i ence o f ‘mu l t i - l aye red consciousness’ or God. The analytical, universal philosophy that agrees with modern science is “advita Vedanta”. The Hindu philosophy was made more accessible in stories for implementation in real life, as puranas, which is the foundation of Hindu art, music and culture. The secret of survival of Hinduism is: like nature, it has some basic natural rules based on unselfishness and love, and the rest is adaptive evolution, toward a well defined goal of all inclusive, universal love. This is quite different from one prophet and one book of exclusive rules and commandments as in Abrahamic religions. Hinduism is not man made. It is derived from nature as an experience and later, analyzed and documented by yogi-s in thousands of research documents.

As shown above, Ashrama Dharma or stages in life helps us in our harmonious evolution in consciousness, as we adapt to changes in life and our environment, by changing our priorities. These apply to all four ‘Verna-dhramas’ based on subconscious, natural tendencies (gunas) and ‘Jathi dharma’, which are based on professional-community and extended family responsibilities. There are hundreds of professional Jathi-s under each of the four verna. In all of these, the central concept of dharma as karmayoga or unselfish, dedicated effort does not change. This is quite different from strict, inflexible, outdated rules that create stress, conflict and wars even for minor evolutionary changes, as in some religions and cultures. There are four life-stages or ‘ashramas’ in a dharmic life-time. Each with a set of prioritized duties and responsibilities that are considered sacred. There are ritualistic reminders of these duties and responsibilities as samskaras, with a family god and associated festivals.

Dharma is a scripted individual, family and community responsibility at each stage of life, developed over thousands of years. It harmonizes the individual with the extended family and the professional community. The goal is to provide, peace, stability and predictability at home and creativity in the social-professional-community life, with a central focus on communal harmoney, environment and spirituality. Even the family homes were built around these concepts as vasthu. As shown above, life was modeled in 4 stages to match the evolution of body, mind and awareness : 1). Student (Brahmacharya) 2). Family (Grahasta) 3). Retirement / Community Service (Vanaprastha) and

4). The optional stage of renunciation (Sanyasa). This classification was intended to harmonize the evolution of our soul, as the body and mind mature and change with time. At each stage in life a particular yoga system takes the primary focus. The four yoga systems discussed before are shown in the graph with corresponding age group. The state of sanyasa or renunciation is spontaneous in the process of dharma, as the body and brain-mind become dysfunctional with age, and relative love becomes absolute by default.

Festivals are a communal worship of nature in its various forms. Stories, music, dance are a part of this spiritual culture which developed in the absence of egoistic, materialistic royalty. Festivals and Samskaras are a way of celebrating and reminding the responsibilities of the individuals within the community. The opposite of dharma is adharma. It is selfishness, intolerance, materialism and un-Godliness. In the absence of dharma, an adharmi defaults to a stage of senility as he tries to recreate his youth with fragmented body and mind.

The goal of Dharma is to evolve through gunas with discrimination, karmayoga and gnanayoga, to a satvic universal awareness and Bhaktiyoga, where mind completely surrenders to heart, and when moksha will be a default state with the decay of body and mind. Here, only surrender of selfishness to unselfishness is required. However, the goal of sanyasa is to focus on moksha exclusively by ignoring all gunas completely in isolation. This is through Dhyanayoga. Sanyasa and Dharma are mutually incompatible and they can cause confusion and Tamas, if practiced simultaneously.

In Hindu culture, community and extended family are of primary focus, for stability, economy and spiritual awareness. Extended families are meant to tolerate, support, balance and stabilize the various personalities within the family, for the common goal of happiness and spirituality. The freedom to worship at home and at will, kept Hindu spirituality pure and out of organized institutions, politics, violence, exclusivity as in abrahamic religions. Hindu culture developed around temples and professional communities (Jathi) in small villages. In community festivals and social events, individual and collective creativity was celebrated in art and music, based on spiritual, Puranic themes. Hinduism survived because of decentralized democracy in Panchayat systems, spirituality, and because of unification of diversity through spiritual pilgrimages.

Love, peace, environment and spirituality are the central focus for family stability. Family members have a role to play with specific responsibilities, which are well defined and scripted over centuries to minimize conflict and develop freedom and harmony. This made Hindu culture excel in both materialism and spirituality until 1750 (ref: Pg-35). Women played a primary role in maintaining these traditional values refreshed in yearly festivals, rituals and ceremonies. Women are considered ‘Laxmi’ or the goddess of prosperity in traditional Hindu families. They represent goddess of knowledge, wealth and creation. While women naturally focus on Bhaktiyoga to maintain a spiritual, satvic and loving ambiance at home, men are expected to guard their family against tamas and rajas in the external environment (Dharma-kshetra/Kurukshetra) and also promote satva, through the practice of karmayoga, which includes Gnana, Dhyana and Bhakti. This is quite different from the role of women in many other male dominated cultures, where women continue to fight for respect and equality at every

stage, even now. Hindu culture encourages all sciences and arts as an expression of love, tolerance and divinity. No aspect of life is excluded, including sex, as long as it is based on knowledge, freedom, unselfishness and love. Sex is a sacred event, since restraint of sex is a symbolic sacrifice (tapas) and a commitment at the alter of marriage, the extended family and the community. Until marriage, interaction between men and women is only as brothers and sisters or fathers and mothers. This is intended to avoid the common confusion between love and sex. Love develops from innocence and purity, after marriage and not from previous failed experiences, secrecies and compromises.

Marriages were arranged to promote personal and community welfare (Jathi) instead of transient values of appearance and sex as in modern culture. Family life was stabilized with tradition and strict behavior protocol, mutual respect and self discipline, in an extended family and professional community related environment. Extended families were matched for marriage based on family history, health, traditions, profession, discipline and compatibility, instead of power, wealth, looks or race, as for example, in the west. Arranged marriages require such a selective match for the safety of the bride, who is familiar with the finer aspects of family craft and culture. Each Jathi-professional community had its own Guru- kula system, samskaras and priests. This Jathi-Verna system maintained professionalism, creativity and harmony of the individuals, extended-families and the community for millennia. There was no anger and jealousy in Jathi and Verna systems, until the British created chaos out of a natural, harmonious diversity to divide and rule a superior Hindu culture. This destruction continues today by foreigners lead Indian political parties and media.

Caste by birth, as in the west, is not supported by the Vedas and Upanishads. As stated in the Bhagavad Gita, the Guna-Verna or ‘choice system’ is based on natural tendencies of the conscious and subconscious. Conscious tendencies are based on our environment, genetics and heredity. The subconscious tendencies are based on past life tendencies in our soul, which make us suitable for different professions. The purpose of Guna-Verna system is, freedom of choice, social harmony and natural decentralization of powers. There are four Vernas to choose from, based on the four natural centers of powers in a community. Under each verna there are many specialized professional Jathi-groups. Whereas, Verna is by choice, Jathi is by family and professional community. Unfortunately, overtime, guna-verna has become a ‘Jathi’. The four Vernas are: 1). Service/craftsmanship (shudra) 2). Commerce / Ag r i cu l t u re (Va i shya ) 3 ) . Administration/Army (Kshatriya) and 4). Intellect (Brahmana). A person can choose to belong to any one of the four Vernas based on his Gunas or talents, but he is limited to only one chosen Guna-Verna. Vernas were kept separate to minimize ‘power politics’ commonly seen in many other cultures. Most of the world cultures deteriorate because of political collaboration between power centers. In addition, the brahmin verna was deliberately kept poor and isolated with strict code of conduct, since they were the maintainers of the scriptures and Verna Dharma (code of conduct). These restrictions decentralized power and helped Hinduism survive for millennia. In Hinduism, even Muslims can be Gurus based on their attitude. Verna is similar to modern professional organizations with choice, membership, training, rules, procedures and rituals. In Verna these are called Samskaras. The Varna dharma was vibrant and made India one of

the most peaceful and the wealthiest country in the world for millennia until as recently as 1750AD, when the British destroyed the Hindu gurukula education system and cultural continuity. They corrupted the brahmin community with forced British education system to promote Christianity. This changed India’s GDP from 38% to 2% in a span of 200 years, making India a consumer market to feed the British industrial revolution.

The Europeans had an enforced class or caste system. They are 1). The rich and powerful, Aristocrats 2) The professional middle class 3) Slaves. The slaves and the middle class were systematically abused with violence, taxes, rape and murder. History in Europe and in other similar aristocratic, war-lord cultures is full of stories of struggle for survival by the lower castes. The Spanish word ‘Caste’ applies to this system. In the west, which is a highly structure culture, even skin color and appearance have become a new class identity. Even today, it is used in many public places such as restaurants, clubs, government policies, private homes, etc. Unfortunately this degeneration is being copied in many other parts of the world. Hinduism had no enforced class structure and slaves, supported by scriptures. The Verna-Jathi system had no such violent revolutions in its history, the British used Caste system to create their own aristocratic war-lords and slaves in their colonies, as a part of their divide, rule and destroy philosophy of colonialism. In India the British miss-represented verna as Caste system. Now, Caste is being used to destroy Hinduism and India, by anti-Hindu, political and religious organizations and by Hindu sepoys or the anti-Hindu, pseudo secularists (Hindus with no self- knowledge or self-respect).

In (a) is shown an organic structure that sustains nature based on love, procreation and survival as common instinct. There are three basic expressions of love in creation: pleasures of the body (tamas) shown in green, the excitement of the ego shown in red (rajas) and the peaceful happiness of the self shown in blue (satva). Most of nature is held together by the first two. The organizations based on pleasure (Tamas) are turbulent, chaotic and slow. The ego-centered organizations (Rajas) are intelligent with narrow selfish perspective and they tend to be fast, successful and transient. Such ego-centered organizations self-destruct after or even during, their egoistic leadership, because of lack of support from nature. The peaceful happiness based on mutual respect and sensitivity to environment is the civilized way of life, which is yet to dawn on most of this evolving world of greed and selfishness.

In (c) is the practical dharma/karmayoga system supported by nature. Here the primary motivation is unselfish love where each part is holistically connected to the organic whole through a collective sense of selfless service, responsibility and love. This can be compared to the parts of a body that work together harmoniously. This is an organized socio-spiritual system adopted as a dharmic culture by Hinduism. Hinduism is the only religion that has been revived by nature after many brutal invasions, mainly because of nature worship as part of a collective consciousness. However, in modern times, this may not be possible without organized

effort by Hindus, because of foreign control of Indian media and politics. Hindus now need to refocus on unity-in-diversity, karmayoga and kshatriya dharma, to defend themselves and rebuild Hindu culture of universal love and brotherhood.

The Catholic church, as the most powerful organization in the world, has the potential to make this world completely peaceful – immediately! It is the wealthiest, the biggest, the most powerful and well organized religion in the world. It has the power to be a leader in making this world peaceful and loving, by just declaring mutual respect for all non-violent religions, followed by non-proslytization. Unfortunately, the leaders of the church have compromised their ethics and the teachings of Jesus, to accommodate a power structure that has been successful in violence, wealth and colonization, but not in peace, unselfish love and spirituality. Unlike satvic Nature, which is flexible, diverse and evolutionary, they have been violent, competitive and intolerant. This is their top-down power structure implemented by the Romans as shown here in red (b). This is an intolerant structure of force incompatible with modern concept of love, freedom, peace, evolution and flexibility. This is the nature of man-made, egoistic organizations. Unfortunately this is also the model for the modern world, where even violence and terrorism have been accepted as religion. Therefore, the survival mantra for the modern world is: Oh! God of Jesus, Mohamed and Mosses, please save us from your followers !

Hindu dharma is based on Verna and Jathi Samskaras discussed earlier. It celebrates life. In this flexible structure, primary importance is given to individual freedom and social responsibility, with focus on spirituality for love, peace, harmony and creative inspiration. All aspects of life were to be enjoyed without self-indulgence. In the Bhagavad-gita, the importance of Verna dharma is emphasized and not sanyasa. In particular, kshatriya (warrior) dharma of protecting and managing the verna-smskaras and dharmic social structure, was emphasized. The Bhagavad Gita even encourages defensive war against insensitive and ignorant forces of nature (Tamas and Rajas), as a Hindu Dharmic responsibility. There is no surrender in this war of dharma-kshetra/Kuru-kshetra. Sri Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, recommends discrimination and not surrender. Surrender limits intelligence and causes fear and confusion. Surrender implies defeat, inaction and disinterest. Even for a sanyasi in the forest, it is impossible to avoid the inner conflict between right and wrong, and evolve in consciousness. The only surrender is our selfishness to our own unselfishness at all times, as dharma. It takes courage to do this. Hindu dharma is a practical and flexible application of an idealistic, universal philosophy. It separates practical dharma from idealistic sanyasa.

Buddhism is based exclusively on the Sanyasa philosophy of moksha and renunciation of the world and life through, seclusion and meditation/Dhyana-

yoga. It is not a culture of life. Quite opposite to vibrant Dharma concept, sanyasa starts with a personal death ceremony as a symbolic rejection of all of life and responsibilities (dharma) for the pursuit of moksha. For this reason, Sanyasi-s lived in isolation in forests and ashrams. Ashoka the Emperor, 272BC, had a very strong, negative impact on Hinduism. When Ashoka enforced Buddhism , an idealistic, monastic philosophy, as a culture on India, Kshatriya dharma was lost. Ashoka’s empire was reduced to 1/5 its size,as shown above, soon after his death, and the Hindu culture was open to invasions and destruction by uncivilized invaders until 1947. This can be compared to recent lack of defense in Tibet against the Chinese invasion.

As shown above, Hinduism has not fully recovered from this impact of Ashoka/ sanyasa philosophy of renunciation and a lack of interest in life. For centuries, sanyasa has been used as a backdoor by cowards who cannot complete their accepted dharmic responsibility. Many even abandon their helpless wife and children in the pretext of sanyasa and become false gurus. However, Hinduism partly recovered because of extensive scriptures, nature oriented Hindu festivals, culture and, the universal truth inherent in Hinduism. Unfortunately, Hindu dharma of social responsibiliy and karma-yoga have not fully recovered. Even today, very few Hindus have read or understood the Bhagavad-Gita, the essence Karma-yoga and Hindu-Dharma.

As Swami Vivekananda said, the foundation of India and Hinduism is spirituality. This is evident from its history of lack of interest in wars, conquest and materialism. When most of the world history is centered around wars for power, wealth and intolerance, the focus in Hinduism is love of nature as spirituality, where even poverty has been accepted as a spiritual path. This harmonious way of life made India not only the worlds most spiritual place but also the worlds economically most successful country until 1750, even after 1000 years of barbaric invasions. ( V Mitchell, NYTimes : ‘According to a Paris-based OECD, India was the largest economy on Earth 1500 of the last 2000 years, including the 2nd largest only 200 years ago.) Today, after barbaric invasions and British colonization, India is one of the poorest and most corrupt countries in the world. Its GDP was reduced from 38% to 2% and forced in to a consumer market, to feed the industrial revolution in British Empire. Many predatory religious organizations in the west are taking advantage of this state of chaos in India, to divide Hinduism and re-colonize India. The graph above shows the planned destruction of Hinduism and India, by abrahamic religions (Ref: joshuaproject.net and BreakingIndia.com). The wealthy and politically powerful religious organizations in the US and Germany such as the Templeton Foundation and the Pew foundation, are planning to destroy the peacefulness of India and Hinduism by breaking it in to pieces, for religious, political and monitory reasons, as shown in the map above. The short sighted shallowness of these organizations can cause serious harm to the world peace in general and south Asia in particular. India and Hinduism are a diverse, democratic culture,

held together by love, non-violence, piligrimages and peace inherent in Hinduism. This diverse culture will explode in to a forest fire of violence, if triggered by the intolerance of Abrahamic religions, This is a very real danger , since, historically, Abrahamic religions have been the cause of many wars and destruction of families, cultures, communities, environment and nations all over the world as discussed in the following pages. Unfortunately, the ignorant and narrow minded religious leaders in the west have branded universal philosophy of Hinduism as ‘Devil worship’ in the form of ‘idol worship’. This has allowed them on a path of destruction of Hinduism, the only culture with a practical, proven, universal philosophy of love, peace and non-violence that the world needs today.

As we can see from the graph above, this foreign interference is much more severe and dangerous than the propaganda of the so called Caste (Guna-Verna and Jathi) related violence in India, which is now being exaggerated to destroy Hinduism and India through religious conversion. This propaganda is mainly an age-old colonial tactic of 'divide-rule-destroy' implemented by the colonial empires, which is supported by their hate based ‘god-devil’ religious system. Together they have destroyed most of the peaceful cultures in the world and if not stopped, they will continue this destruction until they destroy themselves. Destruction and intolerance are the devils that reside in their subconscious history, just as tolerance and love has resided in Hindu history and subconscious.

A SUMMARY OF LORD McCAULEY‘S ADDRESS TO THE BRITISH PARLIAMENT (2 FEBRUARY 1835) …… “I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have seen such high moral values, people of such high caliber, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system and her culture. For, if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native culture and they will become what we want them to be, a truly dominated nation.”

The Bhagavad Gita emphasized the importance of subduing gunas in nature, both internal and external, to save Sanathana dharma or Universal love and peace. Gunas exist in individuals and

The Well-planned famines imposed on us by the British, fed their industrial revolution and forced Hindus to become culturally and dharmically disoriented and poor. Today, we are ruled by a few corrupt foreign forces and unethical, 'Sepoy'- politicians. Ethical politics is based on unselfish courage, Dharmic principles and the Six-intelligence (ref: Pg-19). 'Sepoys' are Hindus who have no Hindu education and therefore have no self respect as Hindus. The biggest challenge to Hindu revival are these confused, westernized, anti-Hindu, pseudo secularists. They are the new enemies of Hinduism. Most of these Hindus are educated in western social sciences and like many uneducated and civilized westerners, they think that Hinduism is a problem that need to be eradicated just as the British sepoys were trained to kill Hindus. These are “ the Children of McCauley”. They are at all levels in all Indian institutions, including administration, media and universities, supported by foreign religious forces.

groups, including religions. The Tamas (ignorance) and Rajas (selfishness) are insensitive. They do not respond to reason or even love. There are many adharmic, ignorant and violent people who have created religions in their own image. It is therefore important to use force when necessary, as explained in the Bhagavad Gita. The focus on unconditional non-violence instead of truth, courage and dharma, has created a defeatist self-image, a lack of self-confidence and hope among Hindus in India. The misunderstood concept of surrender has made many of our gurus, sanyasis and disciples unaware of selfless community service and courageous self-sacrifice as dharma and karmayoga. Without courage even love of god is impure. Renunciation and begging god for favors and even for self-defense, without self-effort, has become an acceptable way of life. Hinduism has no gods. who will take on our responsibility of self defense, no matter how we beg.

Today, there is a general confusion in the world and in many Indians, regarding the nature of civilization. Civilization has been modeled after power, violence, greed and appearances, instead of ethics, love and wisdom. This modern definition is primarily based on the western cultures and religions, of narrow selfish perspective and not on universal values. They are based on the western, historical, feudal systems which has been successful materially at the cost of peace, environment, love, unselfishness and spirituality. The western culture was not designed for cooperative, peaceful coexistence with nature and environment. Hindus and Hinduism with their 12000 year old cultural and philosophical history of mutual respect, universal love, peace and spirituality can play an important rule in reviving universal love and ethics for the survival of this world.

Wikipedia.org: Crusades: “ Those who fought in the name of God were recognized as the Militias Christi, warriors or knights of Christ. Christian fighters believed that victory was achieved through divine intervention or aid from God, and they took great pride in their beliefs. The Crusades were a series of military campaigns—usually sanctioned by the Papacy—that took place during the 11th through 13th centuries in response to the Muslim Conquests. Originally, the goal was to recapture Jerusalem and the Holy Land from the Muslims, and support the besieged Ch r i s t i an Byzan t i ne Emp i re aga in s t the Muslim Seljuq expansion into Asia Minor and Europe proper. Later, Crusades were launched against other targets, either for religious reasons, such as the Albigensian Crusade, the Northern Crusades, or because of political conflict, such as the Aragonese Crusade. In 1095, at the Council of Clermont, Pope Urban II raised the level of war from bellum iustum ("just war"), to bellum sacrum (holy war).” The violence of organized religions as recorded in History, is ready to explode in to reality. Unimaginable cruelty has been inflicted on innocent, peaceful cultures and civilization, in the name of god, religion, race and even color. These religions lack the wisdom to see unconditional love as the foundation that holds this diverse creation together.

This crude culture of organized violence started by Romans and brought in to religion, destroyed a much more intelligent culture of the Greeks and it

was later forced on other Abrahamic religions and it continued through the ages culminating in the holocaust shown above. Now, the intolerance of predatory religions are in the process of destroying other peaceful religions and world peace, through modern media and monitory politics. The leaders of these predatory religions are yet to realize the need for love and tolerance in the modern world, where we have distributed power and economic systems. When the two major violent religions and their leaders learn the meaning of love, tolerance and mutual respect, the world will be at peace. Unfortunately this lesson may not be learnt without a major self-destructive war. The lessons of the previous wars have been forgotten even though almost a 100 million were killed for religious reasons, majority of whom were innocent victims, women and children !

All the technology, power and wealth in the west, have their origin in materialism, organized wars and colonialism, with sectarian and selfish motives. They are not a product of peaceful, civilized, co-existence. Even modern business strategies and capitalism, are based on ancient feudal systems, glorified as ‘survival of the fittest’. Most cultures of the modern world that have been economically successful have had a history of violence and organized wars. From dharma point of view, this is a path of evolution from ignorance to selfishness and hopefully, to unselfishness and being civilized.

The following is a short list of Genocide in millions by wars among abrahamic religions who are trying to destroy Hinduism (ref: GENOCIDE by Jane Springer) 1) America-European/ /1450-1850/ 60Mil- Slave Trade-Africans. 2) Spanish// 1491-1650/4 Mil- Caribbean-Natives 3) American/ /1492-1891/100Mil- American-Natives 4) Turkish/ /1915/1.8Mil- Armenian 5) Germans/ /1939-45/6 Mil- Jews . There are many other genocides that are not listed here such as the genocide of Hindus by Christian and muslin invaders, genocide in Indonesia, Darfur etc. The primary reason for this has been ethnic or religious intolerance mostly created by the Abrahamic religions. Unlike the dharmic religions which believe only in love, Abrahamic religions believe in dualities of God and Devil. They find devil in objects that they do not agree with. This can be an individual, culture, religion, ethnic group or even the color of the skin. As history shows, this can even be their own scientists and saints. Once they convince themselves of this as a group, they are fully supported by their church in wars, murder and genocide, as a divine order. This tendency for violence persists even today because of their structured, political- religious organization.

This tendency for violence shown is in the graph above (source: wikipidea.org), where hanging of the blacks by the white racists continued until 1981. However, there is a spark of hope in the west, from the US, because of its multiracial population. The church is under attack by the scientist and the well

educated and informed westerners. The blind belief in unknown god is being replaced by a more realistic philosophy of universal love and brotherhood. However, Even today, much of the the media and social structure in the west are still racist, where people of European origin are preferred over others, in employment, housing, education, leadership etc. Even the black president Mr: Obama has to relay on his white vice president Mr: Biden to communicate with some of the racist southern, republican, politicians and religious leaders. These are the religious leaders who point to Hindu Guna-verna and Jathi systems to break India and destroy its peaceful religion and culture.

The west has a significant minority trained to be racist, disciplined and obedient by their religion for the last 2000 years, at the cost of their own freedom of choice. Even the churches are segregated ! Unlike in India where anyone can go to almost any temple. From Hindu point of view, since we choose our own god, this is a brain-wash with fear and intimidation of eternal hell and angry god. There is no conversion or proslytization in Hinduism. There has never been a religious war by Hindus in their long history! Most countries adopted Hinduism voluntarily, since Hinduism is based on personal evolution and not conversion, forced or otherwise. However, all this is to change in the near future, unless Hindus unite in self defense, since India and Hinduism are targeted for destruction by the intolerant, religious organizations in the west.

During the long history of Hinduism, many of the worlds powerful cultures such as the Egyptian, the Roman and the Greek have come and gone, since their philosophy and culture was local, exclusive and not universal, they were constantly at war with each other. Hinduism has survived in spite of Ashok’s destructive influence on kshatriya dharma, mainly because of the support of nature and truth in scriptures. Otherwise Hinduism would have been one of the hundreds of religions that were destroyed and digested by the violent abrahamic religions. This can still be the fate of Hinduism, if Hindus do not understand the principle of Dharma, spirituality and the all inclusive Hindu philosophy of universal love and courage.

The British rewrote Indian-Hindu history to promote themselves as saviors of India from Muslims and they down played the heroic Hindu and Sikh freedom fighters, and the Hindu cultural history, to avoid any backlash from Hindus. Because of this, even today, there is lack of education in true Hindu history and culture. Therefore, many ignorant Hindus act as ‘British Sepoys’ and help foreign organizations in destroying Hinduism. Some out of ignorance and the others out of corrupted ethics. Therefore, a study of Historical truth is necessary for Hindu pride, unity, self-dense and survival.

The book “Being Different” by Mr. Rajiv Malhotra is a truthful discussion of the western aggressive imperialism and colonialism in thought and action, from Hindu dharmic perspective. This is ‘Purvapaksha’, the traditional Hindu way of open minded evaluation of differences.

The Book analyses west from the following five perspectives, which all Hindus and Hindu gurus need to understand and propagate for Hindu survival : 1. Eternal and Universal Philosophy 2. Local Exclusive History centric, Belief Systems. 3. Difference anxiety and Mutual respect. 4. Cultural and Religious Digestion/ Predatory religions. 5. Western plagiarism and U-turn.

Mr.: Rajiv Malhotra is an Indian-American researcher and public intellectual. A scientist by training, he is the author of several books including: Breaking India, Invading the Sacred and Being Different. His Videos of discussions, talks, presentations and debates on Hinduism and India have inspired, educated and motivated students, intellectuals, professionals and children all over the world. He has summarized his research and analysis of the western value systems, history and its indiscriminate aggressive imposition of its values on Indian media, education system, culture and religion. His books: ‘Invading the sacred’ and ‘Breaking India’ details the Historical evidence of western destruction and digestion of India, Hinduism and other peaceful cultures through violence and propaganda. He has discussed strategies to defend Hinduism and its values for global peace and, for Hindu and Global survival. Mr.: Malhotra is a model and mentor for many modern Hindu intellectual kshatriyas. Please watch his Videos on youtube.com and become a better informed, proud Hindu intellectual kshatriya, to defend against anti Hindus and Hindu sepoys ( anti-Hindu, pseudo secularists).

Today the well informed people all over the world, of all religions, are searching for an universal philosophy to replace their outdated blind faith. The followers of history centric religions realize that there is no truth or happiness in the stories they have been told, since the stories have historically created wars, violence and fragmentation of the world. In the modern united world of limited resource and good communication, all people are looking for an eternal peaceful solution for survival and happiness. What people need today is: Truth for security and Love for happiness. Even the obsession and addiction created for materialism by a few capitalists are now known be unhealthy and environmentally destructive, unsustainable and unnecessary for happiness.

With modern communication, all are open to an assault on our intelligence, freedom, and privacy, individually and collectively, by unethical religious, political and marketing propaganda. People all over the world are learning to filter information in search of truth and happiness. In the middle east, the oppressive cultures and religions have problems with their own, intellectuals, women, lower Castes and slaves. In India Violent religions are taking advantage of its financial struggles and transitions for proselytization. This is similar to what these religious organizations have done in the past through deliberate spread of disease, wars and chaos. We Hindus have never had a serious national problem with Guna-Verna (Caste) system until recently, when the system was politicized by foreign

forces for destruction of India and Hinduism. According to Mahatma Gandhi, Jathi-Verna or the professional choice system has been the cultural and economic back bone of Hinduism.

All over the world, people are looking for a practical, scientific, universal, true philosophy that can create happiness without destroying our environment and peace. Such a philosophy and culture has been practiced in Hinduism for millennia. This philosophy has been accepted voluntarily world wide as Buddhism, for over two thousand years. Hinduism is a dynamic culture of celebration of love and life, in all aspects of nature, with group rituals and festivals. Hinduism is a complex multi-dimensional, multi-layered, rational philosophy that has been applied to life with love and respect, in a practical, flexible format, without obsessive materialism. This philosophy can easily be communicated to the rest of the word, in rational, scientific terms. The world needs to be told what is true and effective and, what is historically known to be false, ineffective and even dangerous for the survival of the world. This is the dharma or the responsibility of an intellectual kshatriya. As the African proverb says, an intellectual kshatriya speaks softly but carries a stick. This is the only way to educate the tamasic and rajasic individuals, cultures and religions, who choose to be aggressive and insensitive to love, truth and harmful to nature. The booklet shown above is a collection of ideas and an outline for such an effort. It can be down loaded from the website: optimizinglife.org.
