“HOOK, LINE and SINKER” By Ricky McNiel, Reporter
Another year is in the books and we all made it to the end. Congratulations to Wayne Hale on winning the Big Bass of the Year Award. Also, congratulations to Brian Langner on winning the Top Weight Award again this year. Laura Langner was able to sneak into the Top Ten by passing Gonzalo Nandin who was unable to fish in the tournament in December. I have not fished since August and I am looking forward to 2016 and hopefully Donnie and I will be able to fish more this next year. This newsletter makes 13 years that I have been writing the newsletter for the club and hopefully I will be able to make it one more year before I lay down my pen. It has been a lot of fun but there comes a time when it is time to move on. Please RSVP to me by the first of January for our upcoming banquet and awards ceremony. Good luck on Falcon in January I hope that all of you and your families have a Great Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

WAYNE HALE-8.57 LBS.
Fred En-riquez won 1st on Sun. & Big Bass with this 2.70 lb. fish. He had two for 4.90 lbs.
Webb Berry was third on Sunday on Amistad with three fish for 4.48 lbs.
The turnout for our December
tournaments was pretty light;
but that is expected this time
of year. The slow fishing on
Amistad was also a contrib-
uting factor to the low turn-
out. We had eleven anglers
compete on Saturday, Dec. 5,
2015 and on Sunday we had
thirteen anglers. Fishing was
slow overall and the fish that
were caught were small keep-
ers. The weather for the tour-
naments was not particularly
cold; but the wind blew ex-
tremely hard and made for
some pretty unpleasant condi-
tions during the tournament.
Brian Langner won top hon-
ors on Saturday with a three
fish limit of 6.30 lbs. Laura
Langner, fishing in Division I,
came in second with two fish
totaling 3.57 lbs. Third place
went to France D’Spain with
two fish weighing 3.55 lbs.
Vick Tucker managed to catch
the Big Bass of the Day that
weighed 2.76 lbs.
Fred Enriquez won 1st and
Big Bass on Sunday with two
fish totaling 4.90 lbs. His Big
Bass weighed 2.70 lbs. Second
place went to Brian Langner
with three for 4.59 lbs. Third
place went to Webb Berry
with three fish weighing 4.48
lbs. The club caught and re-
leased 14 fish on Saturday
that weighed a total of 27.47
lbs. Sunday the total number
of fish caught and release was
19 and the total weight was
32.91 lbs.
The next club meeting will be
in conjunction with our An-
nual Awards Banquet which
will be held on Saturday, Jan-
uary 9, 2016. The event will
start at 6:00 pm with the
meeting and we will serve a
meal at 7:00 pm. The location
of the meeting will be the Los
Alamos Downtown Center at
128 W. Main St. in Uvalde.
Please RSVP to McNiel by
January 1, 2016. We will be
collecting dues the night of
the banquet for 2016. McNiel
can be reached at 830-591-
3757. We will elect new offic-
ers that night and hand out
the 2016 schedules and rules.
