LOUISIANA (GOLD) Families,

I hope each of you have had a Happy Thanksgiving.

Our sailors have returned from our leave period,

recharged and ready to go. There have been a host of

advancements, transfers and newly reported sailors.

Help me wish Chief Rubenstein, Petty Officer Parker

and their families’ fair winds and following seas, they

are both off to follow on tours here in the

PACNORWEST. Additionally, Chief Sprissler, our

new Machinery Division Chief, MT3 Smith, STSSN

Eby and MMFN Lee are the newest members of our

team. We have several advancements as well, they are

as followed:

LOUISIANA Gold Families,

The FRG is having Brunch with Santa on

Saturday, December 8th, from 10:00am-

1:00pm. Please bring a dish for brunch and

join us as the kids do crafts, play games and

visit with Santa! The cost is $5 per family,

which includes a small gift for each child.

Please RSVP by December 6th with the dish

you'd like to bring and the age of your

child/children. Hope to see you there!

Pre-deployment night is coming up and that

means we will be selling first hug and first

kiss tickets for $1 each. Calendar squares

will also be available for purchase for $1

each. Please stop by and see the FRG board

members to purchase!

The FRG will NOT be holding a meeting in

December. The next meeting will be held on

Thursday, January 10, 2013 from 6:30-

7:30pm. Location is to be determined. This

meeting will include an easy, short workout

just for fun. We look forward to seeing you

in the new year!

Pre-Deployment Night

Bangor Chapel

Pre-deployment night begins at 6:00 PM.

Food will be provided by the Recreation

Committee.

All family members are highly encouraged

to attend. There will be information and

resources available to assist families during

patrol.

Now is the time to begin preparing for the

next patrol!

Talk to your sailor about their Pre-

Deployment sheet and the information they

have submitted to the Ombudsman.

Check all car registrations, base decals,

Military Identification, and etc. and be sure

to renew them if they are due to expire while

your Sailor is deployed.

Get ALL general and specific Powers of

Attorney in order. Remember, tax season is

approaching! If you have any questions on

what you may need, please contact the

Ombudsman.
