Good news! For the first time since the earthquake on September 19, our brethren in Mexico City were able to assemble for worship this past Lord's Day (December 3) in a repaired part of their church building. Work continues on other parts of the property, but this news indicates that good progress is being made. A couple of notes regarding our congregation's schedule this month:
First, Cindy and I invite all from the congregation to come to our house for a holiday soup supper and open house after the evening worship assembly on Sunday, December 17. We did this for the first time this past year and it proved to be a time of great joy and fun fellowship. If you plan to attend, please let me or Cindy know so that we can properly plan and prepare for this gathering.
Second, it is our congregation's turn to host the annual end of the year joint worship assembly of Midland Churches of Christ. This will be on the final Wednesday of this month, December 27. We plan to have Bible classes as usual on December 13 and 20.
