Dear Parents
This Newsletter for the month of April speaks the saga of numerous successes to celebrate. We are proud
of a number of activities that are supporting our students to set and attain success. We are equally proud of
another tradition that identify and address areas of academic and social/emotional needs of students and set
about to support those individuals to improve and excel.
B.Sc/B.Com 4th semester students left for summer holidays from 26th April.
Summer assignments were given to selected students of Bsc to prepare IIT JAM questions from their
prescribed syllabus.
Similarly selected students from Bcom 4th semester were assigned to collect questions and plan for
appearing CAT examinations.
As the University Examination centre Degree College successfully completed the BCA University Exams and
BBA University Exams will be completed on 1st May, 2018
The college is now conducting the 1st Semester University Examinations of B.SC/B.COM/B.A from 25th
April,2018 and going to be completed on 3rd May,2018.
BALLB (All Semesters) students appeared their Internal Examinations from 25th April to 28th April.
All the students of BALLB are going for their Internship during the vacation. 10 students from 1st Sem are
going for Internship to the Office of HUMAN RIGHTS COMMISSION, BBSR from 1st May to 30th May
2018.
The Original certificates of passed out students from 2015 to 2017 were received from the University on
18th April. The distribution of certificates is planned for the first week of May by sending SMS to the
Parents.
The integrated approach of the college of providing IIT JAM preparation to the students along with their regular
syllabus proved right with the marvelous achievement of students in All India IIT JAM Examintion, 2018. The final
year students of Bsc Master Nandighosha Sahoo (Phy Hons), Master Gajendra Nath Marndi (Phy Hons) and Miss
Arpita Pradhan (Chem. Hons) qualified the Entrance Test and brought laurels to the college.

Miss Radhika Agarwala of B.A.LL.B 4th Sem was placed in top 10 in a
Resaech Paper Writing Competition organized by an International Journal “Supremo Amicus”. Her paper on “Critical Analysis of Sexual Harassment
of Women at Work Place” was highly appreciated and rated as the best.
With the publication of the paper in the journal she is going to be awarded
with the cash prize of Rs 2500.
On the occasion of 16th Foundation
Day of Vikash Group on 29th April
the IIT JAM achievers were
felicitated with certificates and
mementoes from the Chief Guest
Mrs Tapaswini Guru.
Vikash group celebrated its 16th Foundation Day on 29th April with great enthusiasm. The Institution grandly felitated
Dr.Tapaswini Guru, renownes artist of Ollywood and Sj.Sudam Sahu, Organic Trainer, Katapali, Bargarh, for their
selfless contribution to the society. The Non-Teaching faculties got recognition for their support by the Management
Members on this occasion and the Admin. Office Staff Mr.Rabindra Kumar Pradhan received a token of love from
them.
The college is always striving to provide a forum to our students to come up with innovative and practical Legal Aid
models, discuss challenges and latest developments with reformative solutions. On 5th April Master Charchit Pradhan
and Master Aryan Pujari of B.A.LL.B 1ST Sem attended a National workshop on “ Access to legal Aid and services in India” held at Amity University, Noida, UP and received Participation certificates.
Our highly enthusiastic students Master Mrunal Ku Meher of 1st Sem Arts and Miss Puja Rani Meher of Final Yr SC
exhibited their writing talent in the “All India Essay Writing Event” organized by Sri Ram Chandra Mission and United
Nations Information Centre. They received Medals, Books and Certificates from the gracious hands of Miss Lopamudra
Kalo, Additional Tahasildar, barpali on 13th April. The college is also awarded with appreciation certificate.

Under Odisha State Youth Policy the Self-Defence training programme was successfully completed in the college. At
about 90 girl students were trained and the trainers motivated them to understand their strength and become aware
and confident. A grand Valedictory Ceremony was organized on 13th April and certificates were distributed to the girls
from the Chief Guest Miss Lopamudra Kalo, Additional Tahasildar, Barpali.

HANUMAN TEMPLE in the campus,
performed the aarti, chant hanuman
chalisha and seeked blessing on the
occasion of Maha Vishuba Sankranti.

Education is not only focusing on 3 or 5 years of degree courses but also creating for the students a platform to realize their dreams, hone their cognition, sharpen their competence and carve out a wholesome personality that’s what we are trying to achieve.
