Dear Colleagues,we cordially invite you to the 9th Hamburg Advanced Course Robotic Prostatectomy to be held at the Mar-tini-Klinik Prostate Cancer Center on August, 20 and 21, 2019.

During this course, we will demonstrate the state-of-the-art technology of the da Vinci robot-assisted radical prostatectomy. Following the tradition of inviting only absolute experts in the fi eld of robotic prostate surgery, we are proud to have Christopher P Evans (Sacramento, California) and Frank Schiefelbein (Würzburg, Germany) as invited surgeons, who will share their extensive expe-rience with you.

We will demonstrate the NeuroSAFE intraoperative fro-zen section analysis, the full functional length preparati-on of the urethra and the subtle but important details of the periprostatic anatomy responsible for superior func-tional outcome. Dr Schiefelbein will demonstrate „cathe-ter-free“ Prostatectomy - the indwelling catheter will be removed at the end of the operation!

All this you will be able to observe „live“ in the theater while having direct interaction with the surgeons. We believe that these two internationally renowned experts together with our local team have created an interesting program that will be of help for both experienced users as well as beginners in order to provide an insightful view of the fascinating possibilities of robot-assisted radical prostatectomy.

For surgeons who plan the installation of a robotic program we will provide exhaustive tips and tricks, such as patient positioning, robot set up, docking and undocking, port placement as well as anaesthe-tic considerations and aspects from the nursing staff . The oral pre-sentation of all surgeons and interactive discussions will add to the impressions obtained in the operating theatres. Moreover, we off er the possibility of a one day proctoring in your clinic. Four places are available and will be given away in the order of request.

Costs and Registration € 250,- per person.

Please send your registration until August 1, 2019 and indicate whether you wish to reserve a room at the Dorint Hotel (€ 131,- for single room, / € 161,- for double room, prices incl. breakfast). We are happy to do the booking for you.

Refund of registration and optionally hotel costs can only begranted if participation is cancelled at least 3 weeks before the event. Participation cannot take place in case the registration fee is not transferred 3 weeks prior to the course.
