Responsible For Frontline Office staff, Monitoring Officers, Senior Home Care Assistants,
Home Care Assistants.
Main Purpose of the Job
* To asses the Home Care needs of people living in their own homes and to work
closely with both internal and external colleagues to provide a responsive and
integrated Home Care Service, including specialist teams.
* To directly line-manage, frontline office staff, Monitoring Officers, Senior Home Care
assistants, Home Care Assistants.
* To be fully conversant with all monitoring and IT Systems
* Lead on productivity within locality and follow new business
Responsibilities, duties and tasks
* To undertake all service assessments and Risk Management for Service Users referred
for Reablement and Long term Home Care, in conjunction with the Monitoring Officers.
* To manage the allocation of work to Monitoring Officers and Senior Care Assistants
and ensure that they plan their work effectively for themselves and their direct staff.
* To ensure that Home Care Quality standards and performance measures are adhered
to, including client-monitoring protocols.
* To develop relationships with healthcare professionals in the area and work closely
with healthcare personnel to raise the standards of care provided to people using
our services
* To be fully compliant with all CQC regulations and liaise with contracts department
to ensure standards are being met
* To investigate all complaints from Service Users and their representatives and report
all issues of a serious nature to line manager
* To investigate all safeguarding matters and liaise with all parties involved to bring the
matter to a satisfactory close
* To supervise and Manage all staff that you are responsible for and identify training and
development needs.
* To undertake in conjunction with HR and Training Departments the recruitment,
selection, induction and ongoing training needs for all staff responsible for
* To monitor, record and authorise annual leave and to monitor sickness absence for all

* To keep HR updated with all staff leavers and changes in personal

shifts, allocating work to planners, Monitoring Officers, senior Home Care Assistants
and Care Workers.
* Attend all provider meetings with local authority as well as local authority forums,
workshops and mandatory meetings
* To prepare, distribute and monitor all documentation (electronic or paper) to conform
to De Vere Care policies, procedures and Care Standards.
* To attend and participate in regular team meetings with Line Manager and peers
* To prepare reports and other documentation for Senior Management as required
* To work on a rota system to ensure continuous service 7 days per week
* To ensure that student social workers are allocated a mentor and ensure that they are
monitored, supported and have adequate workload as well as any reports and assessments
are undertaken as per requirements.
General Duties
* To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demand of
the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff
in their development and training
* To be fully aware of all regulations that are relevant to your department and up to date
with all changes in legislation.
* To undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably
required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this
job
* To undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the post and/or as detailed
in the Directorates Health and Safety policy
* To submit reports and information when requested to contracts, operations and senior
management.
