o Friday, May 26 Fall Season Athletics & Activities, Arts and Elective Forms Due Return completed forms to the Middle School office.

JULY

o All parents and students should review the Summer Reading Requirements.

o July 20 – 21 Used Uniform Sale 1 – 5 p.m. | Parry Center All parents and students should review the Baylor dress code and plan uniform purchases.

o July 17 – August 4 Photo ID’s Visit the Baylor Campus Store to have your picture taken for the directory and your Tiger Swipe i.d. card.

o Friday, July 21 Deadline to Update Student Medical Information All parents are required to update their student medical information through Magnus Health Student Medical Records (SMR). Access your medical forms by clicking on the Magnus link in your School Admin parent portal at www.baylorschool.org/magnus by July 21 or one week before your child’s first athletic practice or camp that occurs before July 21. You will use the same login/password that you use to access your child’s grades, schedule, etc.

o Thursday, July 27 Open Parent Meetings (optional) 4 p.m. | Barks Hall, Room 101 Parents of new Middle School students are invited to choose among three dates (July 27, Aug. 1, or Aug. 3) for an informal Q&A session. Parents need attend only one of these scheduled meetings. Parents are welcome to ask any questions about Baylor, including technology questions.

o August 13 – 15 Used Uniform Sale Sun. & Mon. 2 – 4 p.m. | Tues. 12:30 – 2 p.m. | Parry Center All parents and students should review the Baylor dress code and plan uniform purchases.

o Monday, August 14 Orientation (required for all new parents and students) 1 – 4 p.m. | Parents: Alumni Chapel/Students: Field House Students will spend some time being active outside and should dress accordingly. Sixth grade parents will have an oppor- tunity to meet with their child’s adviser and teachers. New seventh and eighth grade parents will meet with seven - eight team leaders, the Middle School Dean of Students and the Middle School Head.

o Wednesday, August 16 First Day of School All teams begin sports practice with the following exceptions:

7th & 8th Grade Football: Monday, July 31 8 a.m. | Students: Fieldhouse/Parents: Film Room

6th Grade Football: Monday, August 7 9 a.m. | Students: Fieldhouse/Parents: Film Room

Girls Soccer: Wednesday, August 9 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. | Fieldhouse

o Thursday, August 31 7th + 8th Grade Open House (recommended) 7 – 9 p.m. | Barks Hall All seventh and eighth grade parents will have the opportunity to meet with their child’s teachers and adviser.

OCTOBERo October 2 – 4 Sixth Grade Trip All sixth grade students go to Nature’s Classroom in Mentone, Ala.

o Fall Break begins at noon on Oct. 5 – classes resume Oct. 10.

WHAT WILL I WEAR DURING THE SCHOOL DAY?Monday/Chapel• boys: button down uniform dress shirt with tie and uniform pants or shorts• girls: button down uniform dress shirt with uniform pants, shorts or any uniform skirt

Tuesday – FridayB-shirt (casual polo-type shirt) with uniform pants or shorts. Girls may also wear any approved uniform skirt.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE MY UNIFORMS?Uniform items can be purchased throughout the summer by visiting the Campus Store or Educational Outfitters in Chattanooga. Items can also be purchased online from Educational Outfitters or Lands’ End.

WHAT ABOUT SHOES, SOCKS, BELTS, ETC.?These items are part of the official uniform, so note the following:• Belt must be worn with uniform pants and shorts.• Socks must be visible and in good taste.• Most students wear tennis shoes for comfort, but most closed-toe shoes are acceptable.
