HAXXWORKS’19 is a two day extravaganza conducted by Dept. of Computer Science & Engineering. The event includes a workshop ‘Hacking 101’ and a Capture the Flag (CTF) competition with prizes worth 5K. All hack brains are welcome to attend the event. Day 1: “Hacking 101”: A hands-on session on the basics of ethical hacking and CTF. How to be an “Ethical Hacker”? Web hacking (hands-on) What is CTF? A hands-on exploration of jeopardy CTF Career opportunities in the field of Cyber Security. Speakers: Vivekchandran (Alumnus of ER&DCI-IT) Senior Engineer at Tata Elxsi Ltd, Technopark Certified Ethical Hacker Information Security Consultant Worked as Cyber Security trainer for govt. departments and public sector banks Navaneeth K (Alumnus of ER&DCI-IT) Cyber Security Analyst at TCS Certified Ethical Hacker Active volunteer at Cyberdome Kerala Police Handled sessions on Blockchain, Crypto currency, 1’s & 0’s of Cyber Security etc. Day 2: CTF Competition conducted by Team 0uthack3rs (CTF Team of ER&DCI-IT) Prizes worth 7K for winners Rules & Regulations: A team can have 2 or 3 members. Internet access will be provided. Attempting to gain access to any other systems during the competition will lead to disqualification. The event will span over 6 hours.
