IAG NZ Ltd.Responsibility: Design & Implementation

I have reviewed and made alterations to the third design iteration on the project IAG NetScaler which includes four NetScaler SDX 11500 appliances with 12 NetScaler VPXs spanning 2 data centers. These VPXs host virtual servers load balancing and in some cases forming processing functions within some of IAGs core business applications.

Achievements include the following Provide an ‘Options Paper’ covering the integration of AMI AGEE utilizing IAG 2nd Factor

appliances. Design review and re-design load balance and application processing instances to cater for

the migration off Cisco Content Switches to NetScaler. Implementation of vServers in Prod and DR instances front ending 4 environments. Design of One Arm mode in conjunction with the Cisco Nexus 7000 series Core project with

the aim of migrating from the 2 arm mode NetScaler VPXs to the 10GB 1 arm mode.

IHCResponsibility: Design & Lead EngineerI was involved in a business transformation project which entailed migration from physical infrastructure to a virtual environment and introduction of a new application stack implemented to improve business process efficiency. The user base grew from 200 to 8000 and the applications replaced paper based processes and documents.

Achievements Migrate from physical servers and storage which were out of warranty and support to a virtual

environment spread across two datacenters. Design and implement a resilient backup solution which also provided DR fail-over. Provide technical guidance and leadership to the infrastructure team.

A new environment required the ability to authenticate multiple parties through a common trust to gain access via multiple edge technologies. A NetScaler Gateway was required to provide access to multiple Citrix environments and functions.

Achievements Design a NetScaler Gateway solution for XenDesktop remote access. Design a 3rd party trust solution to provide edge authentication functionality.
