91 year old, Rosa M. Nelson-Darner, of Wheatfield passed away July 18, 2012 at the Rensselaer Care Center. On November 12, 1920, Rosa was born to Jesse Lee & Grace (nee: Robertson) Ellis. Rosa was the owner of the original Schoolhouse Inn in Wheatfield, where she enjoyed cooking for everyone who passed through her doors. Rosa is survived by her children: Marian Sheffer, Loretta Allseitz, Deavern & Marguriete Nelson, Truman (Mary) Nelson Jr., 17 grandchildren and many, many great- grandchildren. Also, surviving are siblings: Dorothy Hunt, Doris Alexander, Evelyn Thacker, and Eugene (Peggy) Ellis. Rosa was preceded in death by: husband: Truman Nelson and daughter: Marlene Feiler. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, 2012, at the Boersma Funeral Home, 90 East Grove St., Wheatfield, Indiana. Services for Rosa will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012 at Boersma Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Salyers officiating. Interment will take place at the Prater Cemetery.
