In 2003 Dantherm decided to commit
substantial R&D resources to the develop-
ment and successful application of hydro-
gen and fuel cell technology. As a major
supplier of climate control units for tele-
com base stations all over the world we
focused on the development of Backup
and Uninterruptible Power Supply based
on this environmentally sustainable and
economically viable technology.
We believed we were preparing for a dis-
tant future. Our initiative, however, paid
off much sooner than expected. The future
began when we launched the fi rst power
supply solutions using fuel cell tech -
nology in 2005 and subsequently formed
Dantherm Power in 2007.
Since then Dantherm Power has focused on
the further development and marketing of
both customized power supply solutions for
the telecom industry and the development
of Micro Combined Heat and Power units
based on fuel cell technology. These units
can be used in private households, small
apartment blocks, or small-scale industry.
Today Dantherm Power has already pro-
duced and delivered several power supply
solutions and the production and market-
ing of Micro Combined Heat and Power
units will start up in the near future.

What is fuel cell technology
Fuel cells are electrochemical energy con-
version units, producing electricity and
heat from hydrogen and air. If hydrogen is
not available they can be operated on re-
formed alcohols, bio fuels or natural gas.
Environment friendly
and extremely effi cient
The potential benefi t to the environment
from small local hydrogen powered fuel
cell units replacing large power plants
and district heating plants is immense.
Our solutions emit no pollution or harm-
ful substances. Fuel cells produce heat
and electricity from hydrogen and oxy-
gen. The latter is taken directly from the
surrounding air. The process is almost
noiseless and transmission loss of energy
is virtually non-existent contributing to
the overall extreme effi ciency of our fuel
cell solutions.
Customized backup power solutions
Dantherm Power off ers complete custom-
ized backup power solutions designed for
telecom and IT networks providing Unin-
terruptible Power Supply as the units take
over immediately in case of power inter-
ruptions or main power outage.
Micro Combined Heat and Power units
A complete power and heating plant for a
private household or small-scale industry
the size of a common refrigerator is one
of the latest results of Dantherm Power’s
commitment to develop environment
friendly energy solutions.
