We are your partner in uplifting the lives of every hip hop dancers in the Philippines. We’ve been writing stories and blogs to inspire you and to let you know that someone cares about what you are doing as a dancer. We’ve been helping dancers, choreographers, dance crews and even organizers in promoting their workshops, competitions, concert and other dance related activities. We create memes and videos to motivate you in your craft. We visit and ask you on how you are doing. We remind you on things that is right and fought for your right as a person and as a dancer. In short period of time, we have built relationship in the dance community from Luzon, Viasayas and Mindanao. We’ve shared things together. We have shown that we can do more if we are together. This is to give back for all the support you have given to Dance PH. Philippine Dance Cup is a dance competition that includes workshop,
battle, seminar and charity event in one. This is a fund-raising event for the benefits of qualified dancers for their educational scholarship. Our founder, Sir Louis Ryan Angeles, believe that education is one of the key to success
in life.
Philippine Dance Cup 2017 is a celebration of Filipino talents. Creativity, showmanship and artistic freedom are always rewarded provided integrity, good taste and safety are not compromised. We believe that young people shall be given opportunity to share their talents and hone their God-given
gifts to as many people as possible. As they share their talent, we challenge them to inspire their audience.
Dance crews are also encourage to showcase the best of their hometown.
We always believe that the Philippines has a lot to show to the world.
Finally, we want every participant, dancer, partner and staff to experience change lives and to make an impact to their circle of influence.

OFFICIAL RULES AND MECHANICS Philippine Dance Cup 2017 Competition
I. PRE-REGISTRATION All interested crews shall pre-register to [email protected] by sending the following information, group photo and crew logo: a) Crew Name

Full mechanics will be sent via-email upon pre-registration.
Deadline of Pre-Registration is until November 30, 2016 only.
II. ENTRY CRITERIA
1. Crews must abide by the eligibility rules of Philippine Dance Cup.
2. There are two categories of the competition:
a) Open Category (7 to 19 members) b) Mob Category (20 to 50 members)
3. Comunity-based and school-based dance crews are eligible to join.
4. We highly encouraged provincial crews to join us in Manila on March 2017.
5. All-male, all-female or mixed male and female are allowed.
6. Crew Roster Form shall be submitted on or before January 31, 2016 together with the Waiver and Music.
III. COMPLETION OF REGISTRATION 1. Crews are required to complete their registration by sending their registration

VI. GENERAL RULES A. Performance Requirements
a.1. Any kind of hip hop dance is allowed (KRUMP, break dance, locking, popping, femme, strutting, etc.) or any kind of dance with the hip hop as the focal thought of choreography. a.2. Avoid copying other dance group’s steps, routine, ideas and concept even if they are not in the competition and/or you are not permitted to do so. The organizing committee and the selected judges are one of the most knowledgeable and experienced people who look for performances that are different, new and original. Be yourself and express your group’s diversity with passion, intensity and style. a.3. It is a requirement to showcase your hometown’s best by including it to your routine whether in choreography, costume, music or props. Below are the some suggestions of your hometown’s pride:

a.4. On the day of competition all official team members must report to the competition area for verification. Only those on the Final Roster submitted on February 28, 2017 will be allowed inside the competition area. Crew Roster Form, Member Registration Form, and Waiver shall be submitted on January 28, 2017.
B. Drawing of Lots
If a team is not present during the drawing of lots on the General Assembly they will get the first slot to perform. If a team misss its performance slot, it is automatically disqualified from the competition.
C. Stage Blocking Music should be provided at the time of the stage blocking. If a team misses the time of blocking, they forfeit the time to rehearse.
Each crew has a maximum of three (3) minutes for its run through.
D. Sportsmanship All participants and competitors must exhibit the highest level of sportsmanship before, during and after the competition.
E. Apparel and Accessories Inapporiate and vulgar clothing will not be allowed. The focus shall be on the safety while doing the routine. Any violations will result with a minimum of 3 points deduciton per occurence.
F. Routine Timing The length of performance is as follows: Minimum Maximum Open Division Two minutes (2:00) Three minutes (3:00) Mob Division Four minutes (4:00) Eight minutes (8:00)
G. Music Dance PH highly encouraged getting music source from Rapzilla (www.rapzilla.com) or any music that promotes Christian values. Profabe, vulgar, suggestive, offensive, and inappropriate language is strictly prohibited. A penalty of five (5) points per occurence will be given to teams whose music has this content. Music shall be submitted in mp3 format to [email protected] on or before February 28, 2017. A five (5) points deduction will be given for non-compliance. No digital music player shall be allowed to be used in the competition (i.e. iPods, mobile phones, ,p3 players, cd players)
H. Props Props that are small, handheld and wearable are allowed. These may be moved and discarded from the body. Large, free standing props (i.e., chairs, ladders, stools, boxes, benches, bars) are not allowed. The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, smoke or combustible materials or props are not allowed, as well as other props that may affect the performance of the next group.
I. Technical Rules A minimum of three (3) legitimate judges will be invited in the competition. Criteria for judging will be as follows:
Choreography 20% (dance arrangements, concept) Performance 20% (synchoronization, execution, showmanship, variety of music) Originality 20% (incorporating unique and original or creative moves, never before seen moves or concepts) Theme and Music 20% (cultural values, musicality, beat technique/syncopation, timing, moves related to the music)
Entertainment Value 20% (crowd appeal ) Grand Total 100%
A tabulator will compute final score based on judge’s scoring, including deductions and penalties based on Philippine Dance Cup rules. The decision of the board of judges is FINAL and IRRECOVABLE. Protests are prohibited and will not be accepted regarding any score or result of a decision. Choreography Suggestive, offensive or vulgar choreography is prohibited. Choreography should be appropriate for all audience members. Tumbling or Tricks Highly dangerous stunts (i.e., double back tuck, double lay out) are not allowed.

1. I agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the event as determined by Dance PH, (hereinafter “Event Organizer”)
2. I waive all the rights or causes of action which I might otherwise have against the Event Director, the Sponsors of the event, and all the persons and agencies connected with the event for any loss or damage arising out of, or in connection with my/my child’s participation in the Philippine Dance Cup (hereinafter “the Event”). This waiver includes all claims against the event organizers notwithstanding any shortcoming from their end.
3. I fully understand the nature of the competition, and I recognize that participation in this event requires skills and physical fitness; and I guarantee that I/my child have attained the level of skills and fitness required to safely compete in this event.
4. I agree to receive and pay for any medical treatment (including transport by ambulance), which the event organizers consider advisable in the event of injury, or any illness in connection with my participation in the event.
5. I will submit to the new timetable in the occurrence of an event reschedule.
6. I acknowledge that this declaration is made by me in consideration of and as a condition of the acceptance of my/my child’s entry to the event.
7. I irrevocably grant the event organizers all the rights to use images, audios, videos taken of me/my child by the event organizers and their sponsors for promotional and/or commercial purposes of Philippine Dance Cup.
