Damietta Terminal had a complicated storage calculation system in place SPARCS N4 and Navis billing software was unable to support the existing storage configuration The storage enhancement had to be built with groovy– implementation logic was more complex The client had a tight budget and stiff timeline (adding to the time-zone difference)

S O L U T I O N

Ideal Tech Labs team broke-down the challenge into 2 parts: Generic Damietta Storage concept calculation (last free day free override) Specific scenarios to calculate dwell days (14 use case scenarios)We pursued a strict quality code with sufficient log statements, code documentation and reusable code making the complex code maintainable Code was delivered in chunks and tested in co-ordination, adhering to the tight budget and stiff timelineCases were demonstrated to the end user by creating several SNX(N4 xml data exchange) files for specific test scenarios Navis N4 was seamlessly configured with the client needs within the stipulated time and allotted budget
