Supporting the Dame Kelly Holmes Legacy Trust

Since Dame Kelly Holmes set up

her charity in July 2008, the DKH

Legacy Trust has been working

with thousands of disadvantaged

young people. Many of these have

struggled to stay in school, some

have been in care or are homeless,

and too many lack real purpose and

direction in their life. No stranger

to adversity earlier in her own life,

Dame Kelly believes that every child

needs a hero... someone to look up

to and be inspired by. But too many kids just don’t have this in their lives. Currently, over one million young people are not in education, employment or training. They need help. They need someone to believe in them and help them find their own talents.

In just three years, Dame Kelly’s charity has provided mentoring and support from World Class athletes to over 15,000 youngsters.

The charity’s team of Olympians, Paralympians, and World Champions know what it takes to overcome obstacles, and still have the will to succeed, not only in sport, but in life too.

With your support through the UK Challenge the DKH Legacy Trust will be able to create life chances for thousands of young and disadvantaged young people.

I’m thrilled you and your team are supporting the DKH Legacy Trust in the Intelligent Sport® UK Challenge.

My charity creates life chances for young people. Our team of world class sports stars provide mentoring and support to disadvantaged young people, giving them the skills, belief, confidence and determination to get back into employment, education or training.

Your support over the coming months will really help my charity reach more young people.

Here is a little help from my charity team which will help prepare you for Scotland.

Good luck,

Dame Kelly HolmesDouble Olympic Champion and Chair of the DKH Legacy Trust Remember,

we are here to help you outwith any support you may need.
