Dallas’ First Five Level Interchange Facts • Dallas High Five is located at I-635 and U.S. 75. • Work on Dallas High Five will begin in January of 2002. • Dallas High Five construction is expected to last 5 years. • Dallas High Five will allow for 8 lanes of travel on U.S. 75. • Dallas High Five will have 10 lanes of travel and 4 Dedicated Barrier-Separated HOV Lanes on I-635. • Dallas High Five offers the unique quality of connecting access roads underneath the large connector ramps. • Dallas High Five design is compatible with future I-635 improvements. • Dallas High Five design includes a Reversible HOV Direct Connection Ramp from eastbound I-635 to northbound U.S. 75. • Dallas High Five will carry well over 1/2 million vehicles per day. • Dallas High Five will reduce overall emissions by allowing more continuous travel at higher speeds. • Dallas High Five will include improved hike and bike trails. Main Lanes: 8 lanes of travel on U.S. 75, 10 lanes of travel and 4 Dedicated Barrier-Separated HOV lanes on I-635.

Frontage Roads: Typically 3 lanes with curbs on all frontage roads continuous east-west and north-south through the interchange.

High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Lanes:Dedicated Barrier-Separated HOV Lanes on I-635, with Reversible HOV Direct ConnectionRamp to/from I-635 west and U.S. 75 north.

Coit Road: Will be reconstructed to have 3 lanes plus 2 left-turn lanes in both direc-tions. The new bridge will also include “Texas U-turns.”

“Texas U-turns”: Will also be added at Midpark Road, TI Access Bridge, Park CentralDrive, Hillcrest Road and Greenville Avenue.

Cottonwood Creek: A new bike path cross-ing will be constructed along Cottonwood Creek to connect to the existing bike trail network.
