God'sBurdenThis time we want to share with you about

theburdentheLordhasgiventous,whichisrelated

withtheministryofApostleJohninhismaturity.All

of us need to be clear about the matter of the

ministry.A

ministry

is

aservice

according

the

commission that we have received. It is to fulfill

Godseternalplan.WhenwecometotheScriptures,

to the entire Bible, we can see that God has a

ministry. The ministry ofGod is to establish His

kingdom on this earth. All creation is according to

thispurpose

(Genesis

1:28).

Also, we have the Bible, which is Gods

speaking. Through Gods speaking we can see how

Godwillfulfill Hisplan.ThegoalofGodsplanisto

establish the kingdom ofGod on this earth. The

completion of this plan is the New Jerusalem; the

NewJerusalemisthecompletionofthekingdomof

God(Revelation22:35;1Corinthians15:2428).

To complete this plan God needed time.

Timeis

related

to

Gods

work.

It

is

for

the

purpose

of

fulfilling this plan. Regarding time, there are two

ages:theOldTestamentageandtheNewTestament

age. During the Old Testament age God worked to

fulfill His plan, and He is working in the New

Testamentage.

This

is

the

ministry.

God

gave

His

ministrytomansothatmancanfulfillGodsplan.

This time we want to see all the ministries

throughoutallthegenerationsthatGodhasusedto

accomplishHisgoal,fromtheOldTestamentandthe

NewTestament.WeneedtounderstandtheApostle

Johnsportion

within

this

vision.

TheLordJesus'sMinistryThe New Testament is the ministry of the

LordJesus

Christ.

It

is

accomplished

in

four

sections.

The first section of His ministry is during His

incarnation. God became a man and this man was

JesusChrist.Hewasaperfectmanandthecomplete

God. He fulfilled the first portion ofHis ministry

duringHisincarnation,fromthetimeofhisbirthuntil

Hisdeath.

We

see

this

in

the

gospels:

Mathew,

Mark,

LukeandJohn.ThisisduringtheLord'sincarnation.

After His death He resurrected and initiated the

secondportionofhisministry.

After the Lord's death and resurrection, we

havethesecondportionofHisministry.Inthebook

ofActstheLordbecametheLordandtheChrist(Acts

2:3436).HewasexaltedandGoddesignatedHimas

Lordand

Christ.

Now

His

ministry

comes

from

the

righthandofGod(Hebrews8:12).Itisthroughthe

church.AfterHisresurrection,Hisministryisthrough

theSpirit theSpiritofreality.Heisattherighthand

ofGod, and at the same time He is in us. Christ is

withinus,

ministering

through

us.

DuringthesecondsectionofHisministry,the

Lord used His apostles to serve Him by bringing in

Gods speaking. During the time of the church in

JerusalemundertheleadingoftheApostlePeter,we

havetheministryofthetwelveapostles.Inthebook

ofActs,

from

chapter

two

to

chapter

eight

we

see

this. In chapter eight persecution came against the

churchinJerusalem.

TheLordhadtoldhisdisciplestodiscipleall

the nations, baptizing them and teaching them

(Matthew28:19).

They

would

remain

in

Jerusalem

untilthetimetheywouldreceivetheHolySpirit,and

then they would be witnesses from Jerusalem to

Judea and Samaria and unto the uttermost part of

theearth(Acts1:8).Thisreferstothepropagationof

the gospel, from Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria

whichwereregionsclosesttoJerusalem thentothe

Gentile world beyond the borders of Israel. The

apostlesreceivedthiscommission.

Actschapter

eight

presents

the

propagation

ofthe gospel from Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria

through persecution. Persecution came against the

churchinJerusalem,andthediscipleswerescattered

(Acts 8:1). Wherever they went they preached the

gospel.We

can

say

that

this

was

the

continuation

of

theministry.Whatwastheresultoftheministry?It

wasthechurches.Whatisthechurch?Thechurchis

thekingdomofGod.Theministryisforthekingdom

and the way of the kingdom is the church. The

kingdom can come through the church (Matthew

16:19).

ApostlePaul.Hepersecutedthechurch,buttheLord

called him (Acts 9:24; 26:16). Then in chapter ten

the gospel reached the Gentiles for the first time.

In chapter eleven, after the gospel reached

the Gentiles, the Jews reacted negatively. Their

reactionwasnotpositive(Acts11:13,19).Theydid

not agree with propagating the gospel to the

Lordprepared

a

group

of

people

to

propagate

the

gospelamongtheGentiles.Thistimeitwasnotfrom

Jerusalem. God chose Antioch to propagate the

gospeltotheGentiles(Acts13:13).

In chapter thirteen we see Paul's ministry

takingtheleadtopropagatethegospel.Wedo not

see the twelve apostles any more. We cannot say

thattheywerenotserving,butitwasnotrecorded.

Wedo

see

Paul's

ministry.

He

took

the

lead

in

the

matter ofthe word and the work to propagate the

gospelamongtheGentiles.

The first stage was the stage ofthe twelve

apostles, and the second stage was the stage of

Paulsministry.

After the book of Acts we have Paul's

epistles, which present his vision and his

understanding ofthe practice ofthe church at that

time.WecanseePaul'svisionandthepracticeofthe

church. But at the end of Pauls ministry, the

situationof

the

church

was

not

good,

especially

the

church in Ephesus and in the entire region ofAsia.

TheresultofPaulsministrydidnotreachthelevelof

hisvision.HereceivedthevisionfromtheLord.We

cannot say anything against what Paulwrote to us,

butwe

cannot

see

aproper

practice

according

to

the

vision. In his last epistle he said: All those in Asia

have turned away from me (2 Timothy 1:15) He

wouldhavelikedthechurchesinAsiatopracticehis

vision,buttheyturnedawayfromhim.

Atthattime,whowasqualifiedtosay:the

ApostlePaulisspeakingfromtheSpirit?Whocould

say this? Peter could say this. Peter said that the

epistlesofPaulcamefromtheSpirit(2Peter3:1516)

had heard the voice of the Lord. He knew the

speakingoftheLordJesusverywell.Peterhadheard

theLordJesusspeakingtohim.Rememberthetime

onthe

mountain

of

transfiguration?

The

spoke.Hesaid,ThisismybelovedSon.HearHim!

(Matthew17:5)ThenPeterrealized,Ineedtohear

Him! It was Peter, James and John that heard the

voiceoftheFather.Nowathirdvoicewasspeaking:

thevoice

of

the

Spirit

speaking

through

the

apostles.

Paulsaid,WhatIamspeakingtoyou,Idid

not receive from man. I received it from Jesus

Christ.Butwhowasqualifiedtosaythatitwasfrom

Jesus Christ and not fromPaul? Praise the Lord for

Peter! He could say, This is the voice ofthe Lord

Jesus.What

the

apostle

Paul

is

comes

from

the Spirit and belongs to the Scriptures. This was

Petersfirstresponsibility.

points concerning Gods plan. One point is the

the blood ofJesus. This is a revelation in the New

Anotherrevelationisregeneration.TheNew

Covenantincludes

not

only

the

sins

butalsothegiftoftheHolySpirit.Whatisthegiftof

theHolySpirit?Itisthedivinelife.Wehaveahuman

life, and when we believe in Jesus we receive the

forgiveness ofsins and the gift of the Holy Spirit,

whichis

the

divine

life.

This

makes

us

children

of

God. This is the result of regeneration, which is

through the resurrection of Jesus. He resurrected

fromthedead,andthroughHisresurrectionwehave

beenregenerated.WehavereceivedthelifeofGod.

The third revelation is concerning the

salvation ofour soul. After we are regenerated we

still need our soul to be saved. Has our soul been

saved?This

is

very

difficult

to

answer.

Peter

say?Hesaid,Theendofourfaithisthesalvationof

our soul (1 Peter 1:9). He said, The end not the

beginning.Thebeginningofourfaithisregeneration.

When we believe we receive life, but our soul still

The matter of suffering is difficult to

understand. Many preachers have said, If you

believeinChrist,youwillnotsufferanymore.Isthis

true?Are

we

believers?

Do

we

have

Christ?

We

are

believers.Arewesuffering?IhaveChristbutIamstill

suffering.WhatcanIdonow?DoIneedtoreceive

moreofChrist?OfcourseIneedtoreceivemoreof

Christ. However, it does not mean that I will not

Weknowverywellfromourexperiencethat

inward situation is not good. However, when

suffering comes, it brings us back to God: We say,

OhLord,Ineedyou!Bewithme!OLord,Ineedyou.

Ineedyouformyfamily.Ineedyoufortheministry.

So we see that Peter spoke about the matter of

suffering.

Peteralsospokeaboutourentranceintothe

kingdomandthematterofthegrowthoflife(2Peter

1:4,8,11). WhenPaulspokeabouttheentranceinto

the kingdom ofheaven, it refers to receiving the

inheritance.Paul

spoke

about

our

work.

He

said

that

our work would be tested by fire. Ifour work is

approved,wewillreceiveareward;butifourworkis

consumed,wewillsufferloss.Hewastalkingabout

ourperson.

Ourpersonwillalsobetested.Ifourperson

theword.Inordertorevealtherevelation,theLord

has chosen some vessels. They are able to present

God'swill

to

us.

We have many generations in the Old

Testament.TherewasagenerationbeforeAdam.We

callthisthepreAdamicgeneration.Itwasineternity

past,beforetherewastime.Wehavenoideaabout

demonswerepartoftheoriginalinhabitantsofthe

earth which were judged by God. They lost their

bodies. They became spirits without bodies. The

angels are different from the demons; they have a

spiritualbody.

One

third

of

the

angels

followed

Lucifer, and they became part of the kingdom of

darkness. This is the background ofthe creation of

man.

WhenGodcreatedmanhecreatedhimtobe

onewith

God.

God

told

him

to

be

fruitful,

multiply,

fill the earth, and have dominion over the earth to

establishthekingdomofGodonearthbysubduingit

(Genesis 1:28). Subduing what?Manhadtosubdue

thekingdomofdarknesswithSatan,thefallenangels

and the demons. Man was created to fight against

thekingdom

of

darkness.

But

man

needs

something

tofightagainstthekingdomofdarkness:manneeds

God.

WithoutGod,howcanmanfightagainstthe

kingdomofdarkness?Whatcanmando?Hetriedto

fightagainst

the

kingdom

of

darkness

without

God

and what was the result? Satan defeated him and

man became one with Satan. God created man to

fightagainstSatan,butmanneededtobeonewith

God.MantriedtodothingsseparatelyfromGodand

We have to see that there was a ministry

before Adam. It was the ministry ofthe cherubim.

We can only be in Gods presence ifHe makes us

bloodoftheLamb!ThisisAbel(Hebrews11:4).

We also have Enoch. Man has another

problem death. His problem is not only sin. Sin

separatedusfromGod,butdeathiswithinus.Death

isprogressive:

we

are

dying.

Yes,

we

do

have

the

bloodofJesustosaveusfromoursin,butdeathis

within us. We need something else: we need the

nameoftheLordtobeabletowalkwithGod.Enoch

walkedwithGod,andhedidnotseedeath.Godtook

wasbuiltbydivineinstruction,byGodsinstruction.

Noah built according to Gods instruction, and the

result was that he and his family were preserved

(Genesis7:1).

Wecancallthisgeneration,the survivors.

At the time ofAdam, at the time ofthe flood, we

only have the survivors: Abel, Enoch and Noah

survivedagainstthekingdomofdarkness.

Howcan

we

survive

in

these

days?

How

can

wesurvive?Canwesurviveifweareseparatedfrom

God? The kingdom ofdarkness will defeat us. We

dont only have the kingdom ofdarkness; we also

have Gods judgment. How can we be preserved

from Gods judgment? We need something from

God.Jesus

is

Lord!

We

need

the

blood,

we

need

the

nameandweneedthewordofGod.PraisetheLord!

only

one

way:

sin, His name to defeat death and His word to be

approvedatthetimeofthejudgmentofGod.

Abel, Enoch and Noah are presented in

Hebrews

chapter

11.

In

the

first

two

thousand

yearsof human history, only these three men were

mentioned by God, from whom we can learn

something. What did they receive? They received

approval because ofthe blood, the name, and the

word of God. Praise the Lord! This is the first

generationofhumanhistory.Itisagenerationofthe

survivors.

Howcan we survive against thekingdom of

darkness?Even

if

you

are

able

to

survive

the

kingdomofdarkness,howcanyousurvivetheflood,

whichisthejudgmentofGod?Howcanwesurvive?

We need something from God. Ifwe have an ark

fromman,it cannot withstandGodsjudgment. We

needGods

ark

which

comes

from

the

word

of

God;

it

comesfromtheSpirit.Ifweareenteringintoamans

ark,wecanprobably do manythings. However,we

willnotbeabletowithstandthejudgmentofChrist.

Weneeddivineinstruction.

Todaywecanfindmanypeoplespeakingthe

wordof

God.

They

are

presenting

their

particular

revelation saying that they have a revelation, that

they have a ministry. But it is their revelation and

their ministry, and it cannot withstand Gods

judgment (2 Peter 2:1). We need something from

GodHis

blood,

His

name

and

His

Word

to

be

protected, to be preserved. But this is just to be a

survivor,andwearenotheremerelytobesurvivors.

TheLordhascalledustobeconquerors,overcomers,

toestablishthekingdom.

TheGenerationofthePromise:AbrahamAfter the generation of survivors the Lord

came to give us a promise. From the time of

Abraham we have the second generation. This is a

generationof

promise.

It

began

with

Abraham

comingoutofhislandandhisfathershousetogoto

aplace that the Lord would show tohim (Hebrews

11:89).TheretheLordwouldblessHim:hewouldbe

thefatherofagreatnation.Hewouldreceiveanew

land and become agreat nation. This nationwould

receiveablessingandbeablessingtoallthenations

andtoallthefamiliesoftheearth.

The promise is related to three things: the

land, a nation and a blessing (Genesis 12:12). We

need to go to anew land to become a new nation

andthenwewillbeablessing.ThisisGodspromise.

Wearenotmerelysurvivors,weneedanew

land. We have togo fromthe land ofourfatherto

theland

of

promise.

Where

is

the

land

of

our

father?

Itisourhumanlife.Wewerebornwiththislife,the

humanlife,butweneedtobetransferredtoanew

land.Whichlandisthis?ItisChristasournewland

and our good land, with all ofGods riches. Ifwe

moveto

this

new

land

we

can

become

anew

nation.

Thisnationwillreceiveablessing,andthisnationwill

beablessingtoallthenations.

This is Gods plan: the survivors receive a

calling, acalling byfaithtogotoenjoyanewland.

Theybecomeanationtoreceivepower ablessing

tofill

the

earth

and

propagate

the

kingdom.

This

was

thepromiseofGodtoAbraham.

Abrahambelieved, but inordertofulfillthe

plan,heneededtohaveadescendent. Tobecomea

nation,Abrahamneededadescendent.Howcoulda

nationbe

produced?

Abraham

needed

adescendent.

Buthedidnthaveadescendent.Hewasgettingold

and he didnt have a descendent. Ifthere were no

descendent, there could be no nation. One day the

InExodus

we

have

the

leadership

of

Moses,

Aaron and Joshua. They are there. We can see the

revelationthatGodgavetoMosestoleadthepeople

ofGod.Alsowehavethetabernaclewhichshowsus

Godspresence,togetherwithhispeople.Whenwe

havethe

word

of

God,

we

have

the

proper

leadership

and Gods presence to lead us. How we need to

practicethisword!ThisisLeviticus.

Leviticus shows us how the people ofGod

can have fellowship with God and serve God, and

these are the three aspects that we need to learn

from Gods word. We have to learn how to have

fellowship with God; howtoapproach God; howto

bereconciled

him;

how

to

have

peace

him;

have to learn how to serve Him and how to live a

proper life. These are the people ofGod, and now

theycanbecomeanarmytofightforGod.

Wecan

see

the

result

of

Gods

speaking:

Gods leadership and Gods education. Then we

becomeanarmy.Nowwecanpreachthegospel,and

wecanconquertheland(Joshua11:23).Thisiswhat

wearedoingtofilltheearth.Afterwardsthepeople

ofGod entered the good land and established the

kingdom.When

we

come

to

the

book

of

Joshua

we

find agood picture: the land ofGod(Deuteronomy

8:710).

We praise the Lord that God found David and

He also brought in forced labor to build

thesamehouseasanotherwife?Thewifewouldsay

toSolomon:Icanmarryyou,butyouneedtogivemea

In the beginning it was foreigners who did

the building, but later the poor people became

people

God

wives. Today people have ministries, and then they

establish forced labor to build up something

duringthetimethatJohnwasadisciple oftheLord

Jesus,duringHisincarnationinHisearthlyministry.

After the Lord's resurrection, John became

oneof

the

leaders

in

the

church

in

Jerusalem.

We

can

saythatthisisthesecondsectionofhisministry.In

the book ofActs, regarding what isrecorded about

the church in Jerusalem, John was always with the

WedonothaveanyinformationaboutJohn

atthis

time

other

than

in

the

Epistle

where Paul called John a pillar in the church in

Jerusalem(Galatians2:9).Then,whentheLordcalled

JohnwhilehewasinexileontheIslandofPatmos,he

received four great visions (Revelation 1:9). These

fourgreat

visions

are

the

content

of

the

book

of

Revelation and became the basis ofthe ministry of

the Apostle John in his maturity. According to the

historyofthechurch,afterreceivingthesefourgreat

visions, John left the Island ofPatmos and went to

Ephesus. There he completed his ministry, and this

ministrywe

call

the

ministry

of

the

Apostle

John

in

his maturity. The Gospel of John and his three

epistles are the content of the ministry ofApostle

Johninhismaturity.

Why did the Lord call him in his maturity?

Johnhad

two

main

responsibilities.

The

first

was

relatedtomendingthenet.Ithinkallofushaveread

theBible,andweknowtheexperienceofJohnwhen

he was initially called by the Lord. He was with his

brother, and they were mending nets (Matthew

go

21:18).

The

Lord

said

this

concerning Peters death (v.19). He would probably

be arrested. Nobody wants to be arrested, but this

didhappentoPeter.Hewasarrestedandhewasput

intoprison.

After the Lord revealed this to Peter, Peter

looked at John and asked the Lord, What about

him? (v.21). He did not call John by his name. He

asked, What about him? What about this one? If

you consider someone as your fellow worker, you

Itistohelpustocompletethework.TheLordsaid,I

will build My church," (Matthew 16:18) and "This

gospel of the kingdom has to be preached to the

wholeinhabited

earth

testimony

24:14). The propagation of the gospel and the

testimony ofthe Lord Jesus are essential points of

the Lords coming. The Lord needs to raise up His

testimonyin

every

nation.

did

not

say

every

gospelineverycity,butfortheLordscoming,thisis

not necessary. What is necessary is to preach the

gospel to every nation. Which kind ofgospel? Not

just the gospel of grace, but the gospel of the

against the kingdom of darkness. We all have

different abilities. In chess there is the queen, the

castle,the

bishop,

and

the

knight.

They

all

have

different functions. Also, there are the pawns

(soldiers).Thesoldiersmovejustonespaceatatime.

Theyhaveonetalent(Matthew25:15); theycannot

areimportant;theyprotectthecastleandtheknight.

We need all the abilities. We can say that some

among us are like a queen. The queen can move

quicklyfrom

one

place

to

another.

The

queen

has

fivetalents(v.20).Youcannotsay,Iwantthequeen

todiesothatIcanbeinabetterposition.Weare

like soldiers moving one space at a time, and the

queen moves very quickly from here to there. You

cannotsay,

I

want

the

queen

to

die

so

that

the

soldierscanmove.Ifour queendies we allwill be

killed.Theopponentswillattackussincewewillnot

haveprotection.

WeareonGodsside.Wehavebrothersand

sisters with different abilities, but our place is on

Godsside.

If

Ido

not

like

the

fact

that

a

brother

is

movingveryfastandIwanthimtoleave,Iwillhavea

problem.Theenemywillmoveveryquicklytocause

problemsformesincethebrotherwhowasmoving

fastdied.ThisisthegameoftheLord.Webelongto

the

same

generation,

but

wehave

different

functions.

Forexample,Iamservingyou.IfIleave,you

willneedsomeonetoreplaceme;anditisnoteasy

tofindsomeonetoreplaceanyone(1Timothy3:25).

married.Hiswifeneedstobeonewithhimandnot

cause problems for him. Sometimes we find a

brother that wants to travel, but his wife does not

wanthim

He

may

travel,

but

when

he

returns

homethewifesays,Don'tgoanymore.Ifyougo,I

will leave our home. What is thisbrother going to

do?Hecannottravelanymore.Ifhetravelshewillbe

aloneandpeoplewillsay,Hedoesnthaveauthority

wife

left

him.

It

is

not

easy

for

the

Lord

to

find

a

husband,awife,andchildrenthatfollowtheLord.

Ourchildrenarenotangels,butatleastthey

are following the Lord. Most ofthe time we would

liketohavechildrenwhoarelikeangels.Angelsare

verysubmissive.Theydontmakenoise.Theywillnot

makenoise

if

you

are

sleeping.

You

do

not

need

to

ask them to stop making noise. They are very

submissive,butthey obeyGod.IfGodasksthemto

make noise, you will not be able to sleep because

they will be making noise. Angels are definitely

differentfrom

children.

God

says

to

achild,

Please

stopcrying,thechildwillcontinuetocry.Angelsand

childrenaredifferent.Wehavechildren,notangels.

Theygrow,theymature,theylearntoknowGodand

howtodenythemselves.ThisisGodsplan.Todaywe

not look inwardly, but rather they look outwardly.

We look at others, not ourselves especially our

We need a spiritual mirror. How can God

help us to see our mistakes? God wants to reveal

something to us by showing us the mistakes of

others.We

say,

in

fact

the

Lord is presenting a mirror to us: This is for you!

Firstlyyouneedtoseeyourownsituation,andthen

youwillbeabletohelpothers.John'sministryisto

However,because our soul life is sostrong,

we do not want to be accused ofhaving made a

mistake. Sometimes we do not like to hear from

someone that we need to clean our pants in the

This

is

because

of

our

soul

life.Someonecomesandtellsusthatourbackisnot

okay,butwedonotliketohearit.TheLordusesour

wifetocorrectus.Sometimestheyaretheonlyone

who can help us. No one elsecan help us, just our

the

flood

that

came

and

finishedtheline.OnlythefamilyofNoahsurvived.It

wasanewbeginning(Genesis7:1).

Then we have the generation ofNoah until

the kingdom of Nimrod. Noah was in charge of

establishingthekingdomofGod,butthekingdomof

come.

What

kind

of

kingdom

came?

The

kingdom ofNimrod. This was not the seed ofGod,

but rather the seed ofBabel; the tower ofBabel.

Then God had a new beginning. He said to

Abraham, Come out of your land, your parents

relatives

will show you. In this land I will make you a great

the nation and the blessing. This was a new

beginning.We

can

call

this

the

generation

of

promise, with Abraham, his descendant Isaac, the

twelvetribesandJoseph.

JosephbecametheruleroverEgypt(Genesis

41:41).ThisisapictureofGod'splan:amanofGod

ruling over the world. Praise the Lord! Was this

good?Yes,

it

was

very

good.

But

Joseph

died

and

was

put inside a coffin in Egypt (Genesis 50:26).This is

howGenesisends.Canyouimaginethis?Genesisis

the beginning, the book of the beginning. But the

conclusionofthebookofthebeginningisanend.Is

itabeginning

or

an

end?

In

our

eyes

it

looks

like

an

end. But in Gods eyes it was not an end; it was a

beginning. Why? It was a beginning because it was

theseedoftheministry.

In the book ofGenesis we can see Gods

entireplan.Wehavethegenerationofsurvivors.Itis

not easy to live on this earth. Howcan we survive,

fightingagainstSatan,hisfallenangels,thedemons,

sin,and

the

world

entire

system

that

is

man? How can we survive? God has given us

somethingforoursurvival.ItisthebloodofGod,the

blood of the Lamb, to remove what separates us

fromGod(Hebrews9:14).

Thenwe

can

be

one

with

Him.

We

also

need

towalkwithGod.Itisverydangeroustowalkalone

onthisearth.Itisdangeroustowalkalone;wetakea

big risk. Do not walk alone! We need to walk with

God.WecanwalkwithGodbycallingonHisname,

mature

with

God

on

need something that is Godproof; then we can

flood.

conquerors. We need an army with Moses, Aaron

To

preach

the

gospel,

we

need

to be an army. The church needs to be an army (1

Timothy 1:18;2 Timothy 2:34). How can we be an

army? The Lord needs to establish a leadership, a

proper leadership with spiritual vision and the

leading ofthe word. The leader must be someone

very

clear

about

where

he

is

going.

Imagine

if

Moses did not know what to do and was not clear

about where to go. The people would ask Moses,

Where are we going? He would answer, I dont

But, praise the Lord that Moses received a

vision,and

he

knew

what

he

was

doing.

He

was

building a tabernacle through which God would

speaktoHispeopleandleadthemtothegoodland

(Hebrews 3:5). This is a proper leadership. Aaron

knew how to educate the people, and Joshua was

preparedtotaketheleadtodefeattheenemy.They

establishedthe

kingdom,

and

they

took

possession

of

theland(Joshua11:23).PraisetheLord!

Then the time of the judges and the kings

came. What do we find? At least there were the

builders. Samuel anointed King Saul, but Saul was

disqualifiedbecause

he

was

fleshly,

and

the

Lord

replacedhimwithDavid(1Samuel15:2223,28).

Davidhad aheartthat wasaccording Gods

heart (Acts 13:22). He received revelation; he

prepared the material;he propagatedthe kingdom;

We need to be peaceful and harmonize

situations. Let us look at an example: When we

We must realize that we have many things

that need to be recovered. Our propagation ofthe

gospelneedsto be recovered; ourtestimonyneeds

Firstly

we

need

tocometotheproperground:thenameoftheLord

and the word of the Lord this is the Spirit

(Revelation3:8).PraisetheLord!

Doyoufeelthatweareonthisground?Are

we

are

on

ground?

our

the

nameoftheLord?Arewehereenjoying something

other than the Lords word? Are we bringing other

things in here? No! We are coming back to the

In the Old Testament the recovery became

weak. They could not propagate, but at least they

surviveduntiltheLordcame.Theysurvivedbecause

oftheprophets,whorepresenttheovercomers.The

prophetsare

the

line

of

the

overcomers.

A

prophet

is

someonewhoisveryfaithfultotheLordsname,the

LordswordandtotheSpirit(1Corinthians4:2).This

is the generation of the prophets. It is the last

What was man's situation when the Lord

came?Mathewchapter4verse23says: AndJesus

went about in all Galilee, teaching in their

sickness among the people. The Jewish meeting

place was empty. What were they exalting and

worshiping?Theywereworshipingsomethingempty,

becauseGod

was

in

Christ.

If

they

had

had

real

place and followed the Lord. But they continued

goingtheretoreadtheScripturesandworshipGod.

Godwasoutside.Godwaswalkingaroundwhilethey

werereading

the

Scriptures

and

declaring

that

God

was with them. But God was outside; God was in

Christ.Christwasgoingplaceswiththedisciples,and

the Jews were in their meeting place considering;

Who is this man that is going everywhere? That

man was God. They would think: No! We are

exaltingGod!

But

God

was

not

with

them

in

their

meetingplace;Hewasoutside.Theybecameempty.

Thisisreligion.

ReligionissomethingthatyoudoforGodbut

apart from God. They were full ofreligious things,

butthey

were

empty.

The

reality

was

in

Christ.

Do

you believe that this is happening today? It does

happentoday.PeoplearereadingtheScripturesand

singinghymns,butinmanyofthesemeetingplaces

the people have no understanding concerning the

sickness. Because man is fallen, we have different

kinds ofdiseases and sicknesses. There are three

kinds: sickness ofthe body, ofthe soul and ofthe

spirit.

Mathewchapterfourverse24says:Andthe

reportconcerningHimwentoutintoallofSyria;and

theybroughttoHimallwhowereill,thoseafflicted

with various diseases and torments and those

possessedbydemons andepileptics andparalytics;

andHe healed them. Here we see three kinds of

problems.Onehasmanydemons.Thisisonekindof

problem. If someone is involved with a curse,

witchcraft, he will become filled with demons; the

ability to make decisions because he is demon

possessed. Why did he become demon possessed?

Its because he is involved with a curse, witchcraft,

andevil

spirits.

The

result

of

this

involvement

is

to

be

demonpossessed.

Another problem is to be crazy (another

translationsayslunatic).Thisisnotaproblemwith

demons;itisaprobleminthemind.Itisnotdemon

possession;it

is

a

disease

of

the

mind.

If

you

try

to

cast demons out ofsomeone who has a disease in

their mind, they will become worse. They will

probably not allow a believer to approach them

anymore because oftheirverybadexperience. It is

one problem to be demon processed, and it is

anotherproblem

to

be

crazy.

This

is

amental

problem;itisadisease.

Today we have many different kinds of

mental diseases which are not demon possessions.

However, the Lord healed all kinds of diseases.

Sometimessomeone

wants

to

cast

demons

out

of

a

person who has a mental problem. Many people

todaywant todo this. There are many people who

do not sleep well and someone may come and say

thatthatpersonhasaproblemwithdemons.Thisis

mind.TheLordcanhealthem,butitdoesnotmean

itisacaseofdemonpossession.TheLordsaidthat

therearedifferentproblems.We,asthegeneration

theShepherd,totheflock,andtofollowtheLord.

Anotherpersonhadaproblemwithhisbody;

he could not walk, he was a paralytic. This is a

the

body.
