The Warren County Public Library Board of Trustees is requesting LumpSum bids for the Addition and Renovation to the Main Library located at1225 State Street in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Bids are due in the BoardRoom at the Main Library located at1225 State St. in Bowling Green,Kentucky on Thursday April 30, 2020 by 2:00 PM CST. Bids will beopened and read aloud. Note that this project is Tax Exempt and BiddersARE NOT to include taxes in their Bids. Scope of Work consists of, but isnot limited to the following:
-Selective Demolition-Concrete Foundations-Light Gage Metal Framing-EIFS-HVAC-Electrical-Plumbing-Civil Work
NOTE: The Library will stay open during the entire ConstructionProcess and Contractors are to pay close attention to scheduling,temporary conditions and access to the Job Site.

Sealed Bids submitted as specified, received by the correct time and dateshall be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids must be submitted only onthe forms provided in the Project Manual. The proposal envelope musthave the Project Name, Contractors Name and date on the outside.
The Warren County Public Library Board of Trustees wishes to give noticeto all prospective bidders that participation by minority business entities isencouraged.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Main Library located at 1225State St. in Bowling Green, Kentucky on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at2:00 PM CST. A review of the Contract Documents will take place atthis meeting and a tour of the will follow the meeting.
Bid bonds in the amount of 5% of the total bid are required. Performanceand payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount are re-quired of each successful bidder upon execution of their contract.
All contractors and subcontractors employed on this project shall be incompliance with the Commonwealth of Kentucky requirements forWorker’s Compensation Insurance (according to KRS 342) and Unem-ployment Insurance (according to KRS Chapter 341).
The Warren County Public Library intends to award contracts based uponthe best evaluated bid. The Library reserves the right to accept the biddeemed by it to be in its best interest, not necessarily the least expensivebid; the right to disqualify bids from bidders not deemed to be qualified;the right to disqualify bids deemed to be defective; the right to waive de-fects on bids where such defects are not deemed significant; and the rightto waive any and all formalities and the right to reject any and all bids. Bid-ders are encouraged to carefully read the entire set of Contract Documentsand visit the site.
No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt ofbids for a periodof sixty (60) days there from.
