Environmental Committee - Wiese Park Planting. Last Saturday morning 4 North Scott Rotarians took a beautiful summer morning and planted an ar-ea of Eldridge Wiese Park around the park sign and Rotary clock with ground cover, spreading ever-greens, daylilies and prairie grass to help spruce up the new downtown Eldridge Park. Ken Bonnet: CFO and Board of Director of Riverside Casino & Golf Re-sort, LLC CFO and Board of Director of Grand Falls Casino Resort, LLC Mr. Bonnet is the Chief Financial Officer and Board Member for Riverside Casino and Golf Resort, LLC, Riverside, Iowa and for the Grand Falls Casino Resort, LLC. , Larchwood, Iowa. Our annual fundraiser to raise funds for Polio Plus was a great Success. North Sco. Rotarians turned

out in force to support this great Rotary Interna9onal Cause. They also enjoyed a beau9ful baseball

evening and fellowship with fellow Rotarians. We were joined by 3 Rotary clubs from the Illinois Quad

ci9es.

Our District Governor, Jacque Andrew, joined us and threw out a first pitch to start the evening. Also

present was the District Governor from Illinois.

We raised just under $1000 in $ckets and Bandit Bucks plus dona$ons

LAST MEETING – August 23, 2013 – D6000 Governor Jacque Andrew

This was the day our new District Governor Jacque, made her yearly visit. She resides in Jefferson, Iowa and is

the 99th

District Governor of D6000. The North Sco. Rotary Club was her 32nd

club visit, so she was half done at

that 9me. When she visits each club, she doesn’t remember the meal or food, she remembers the members.

She likes to ask ques9ons and engage with the members. Jacque told about the 17 refugees from Kosovo that

the various service clubs of Jefferson adopted in 1999 and her Polio Immuniza9on trip she made last Rotary year.

Sixty four a.ended this mee9ng including ADG Doug Peterson from the Iowa QC Club. Other visi9ng Rotarians

were Diane Koster from Rock Island and Duncan Cameron from Naples, FL. Other guests were Linda Tubbs, Tom

Brooke, Andy Streit, Chopper Shea and Ryno Bell. Patrick Olsen was sergeant and collected $49 for Polio Plus.

Proposed by John Maxwell Employed by Davenport Community School District as a Federal Programs Specialist; last year was an administrator at Fillmore Elementary School Resides in Bettendorf with her son Isaiah Active member in Gospel Mission Temple Church; health & fit-ness ministry Hobbies: fishing, golf, tennis Jillian looks forward to participating in all the good work we do as a club.
