Cycling in (Slovenian) media and other

Baron Karl Dreis (1785-1851, Karlsruhe) invented so called “running machine” (Laufmaschine) in around 1820. Later it was known as velocipede, draisine or “dandy horse”.

In 1860’s Pierre Michaux (1813-1883, Paris) improved “draisine” and it became much more practical.

In 1890’s safety bicycle or Niederrad became much more popular than velociped
