Community Voice Mail (CVM) provides free,24 hour access to voice mail for people intransition and crisis directly linking them to
jobs, housing, and hope. It is a free servicefor people who have a case manager.
The CVM Summit program is part of thenational network of CVM sites, empoweringpeople living in poverty, transition and
homelessness rebuild their lives byconnecting them to jobs, housing,informat ion and hope. We do this bycustomizing and distributing communicationstechnology via a network of community-based services.
Users receive a personal phone number (witha 330 area code) and create their ownpersonal greeting. The have the ability toretrieve/receive messages 24 hours a dayfrom any phone. Only the user will be able to
hear messages. The system sounds like aregular phone with voice mail capacity.
Info Line Inc. trains case managers on howto instruct consumers to use CVM. Enrollingtakes approximately 10 Minutes!

to leave messages for our clients without undue delays, and for our clients
to stay in touch with progress or questions. This allows us to serve more

.Easy to Distribute and Use
You only need a few minute and a touch-tone phone to issue a CVMS Number.
Who Uses CVMS?
Community Voice Mail Summit partners withmany community organizations serving those
in crisis and transition:
Homeless Domestic Violence Veterans
Unemployed Foster Youth Natural
Disasters
CVMS empowers people to take control of their lives. It is used by people using casemanagement services with partnering
agencies to accomplish goals in areas of: Housing Safe communications
Employment Contacting family
Health care Legal Services
Social services Education
CVMS is for individuals that:
do not have a phone, Have a phone but no answering machine,
Have a cell phone but with limitedminutes, or
are living in a potentially abusivesituation
Once you are assigned and set up with your CVMS number you can record a message
for people when they call. You can give itout to employers, landlords, case workers,family, friends, and others. There is no limiton how much or little you use it. You will beassigned a personal password to call anduse the system.
