All sulfur view pots handle were provided& top covers closed. Safety,Health&Environment Pollution 2.In HGU & NHT-CRU- product up gradation-Light Naphtha from splitter o/h was routed for Hexane plant feed 3.Oil Movements and Storage- my contributionsa.LPG product inventory reduction , b. High viscosity Fuel oil was marketed as fuel for power plants new product c. Asphalt marketing maximization d. Conservation of sk & dies el blend components of Fuel Oil by viscosity pushing140 to 180cst. return SK from LAB feed for directly pumping to SK tanks, diesel& fuel oil batch preparation time reduction Cauvery Basin Refinery (Shift Manager deputation) Operations improvements: 1. for additional crude receipt (100 trucks/day received in 4th naphtha product tank ,by converting it for crude receipt) timely action saved capital cost & construction time2. CDU distillation temp reduced from 370 to 347 not effecting other products energy conservation3.CDU capacity increased from .5-.65 mmt Without

Panel operator (1983-89)

investmentWax plant –contributionsa. feed slack wax was inadequate and so product wax& byproduct foots oil were recirculated to feed tank till wax is spec feed stock conservationb. condensed solvent is reused to vacuum filter without pump eliminated slop tank &reprocessing through furnace circulation energy conservation c. product wax molding unit caught in fire and plant was s/d –alternate drum filling and prilling were initiatedd. byproduct foots oil was initiated and marketed as new product e. waste product wax was reclamation initiated as product waste recovery & elimination

3 NNPC (Nigeria) on deputation from MRL /CPCL

PanelOperator (1989-92)

CDU&VDU operations &improvements 1.HVGO section was getting flooded due to TIC gets wetted due to rain and CDU&FCCU S/D due to this, with a pre recorded MV the TIV kept in manual control and saved further S/D2. LSRG was suggested as solvent for local vegetable oil refining plant (and import of Hexane was eliminated) saving foreign exchange to Nigeria) 3. Export of HVGO surplus was initiated &implimented latter
