Checking the correct measurement of hardness when required and the acceptability of the results. • Checking all welding activities is in compliance with the applicable code, standards and specification. • Monitoring & witnesses of WPS/PQR • Co-ordination with Third party as well as client related to welding and NDT activities. • Review of mill certificates, consumable test certificates and calibration certificates of equipments. • Checking that only approved electrode, wires and gas are used. • Randomly checking welding parameters according to approved WPS (Ampere, Voltage, Travel Speed and Gas flow rate), •Checking the adequacy of equipment for preheating, welding, heat treatments and weld examinations. • Ensuring that weld inspection, examination and test are carried out and documented in accordance with the Quality Control Plan for site activities, verifying the inspection records and validating the relevant results. • Filing and retaining NDT reports and inspection reports. • Monitoring of the welding activities, checking in particular the adequacy of joint preparation protection and provision in case of rain, wind, low temperature etc. • Checking the adequacy of the heat treatment technique and the recorded diagram. • Checking the repairs is correctly made. • Checking the heat treatment diagrams. • Checking the issuance of the document required by contract specification
