1.Provide old magazines, newspapers, scissors and glue. Ask your child to find and cut

out three pictures of a subject and three pictures of a verb. They must be singular

or plural, but they must agree. Ask students to create rebus sentences, using

    pictures for the subject and the verb and supplying words for the rest. For example;

you might find a picture of a group of girls and a picture of someone playing.

The sentence would say, The girls play after school.

Encourage your child to be creative as long as the subjects and verbs are in

agreement. Conclude by asking the child to share the sentences.

    2.Where Am I?

Let your child use your imagination as they practice the simple present tense. A child

will picture a place that they would like to visit, and they will write five sensory

statements as they were at that place. Then, have your child guess where his/her

sibling is. They should ask question following this pattern: Are you _________?

Their questions should also be in the simple present. It is a good time to review the

    different uses of at/on/in.

    3.Get Out and About

Get your child out of your house to freshen up his grammar lessons. Take a short

walk outside your house and have your child observe and take notes on what they

observe. When you come back, have your child share what they experienced on the

    walk using the simple past.

    4.Grammatical Chairs

Review the subtle differences between three grammatical structures for talking

about the future: present continuous, be going to and, and will. Arrange three chairs

and label each one either present continuous, be going to or will. The child will take

turns choosing one chair. The child will sit on the chair and then use that construction

to make up a sentence about the future. Direct child to the correct chairs as needed

    when they make mistakes.

Grandparents play an important role in the life of every child. They are the childs

support and their best friend. Grandparents pamper the kids more than the parents

themselves and leave a lasting impression in childs life.

On 14 September, we welcomed Shri Prem Dabas, grandfather of Rehaan Sejwal of

P4C. He started the session by sharing his 1971 war experience. He took the

session to another level with many interesting anecdotes. It was an interactive

session. Children asked Shri. Prem Dabas never- ending questions. It was an

enriching and inspiring session for the teachers and students as well.
